History

Established in 2002.

The Emergency Medical Sciences Academy (Incorporated) was established by Frank J. Galgano B.A.O.L., REMT-​P, Richard J. Paley, MD and Chad Brocato, DHS, REMT-​P to provide training and employable skills through the Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic Programs. Currently owned by City College Incorporated a Non-​Profit corporation formed under the laws of the State of Florida.

Meet the Manager

Tony C.

Manager

Tony Chin has over 18 years of experience in the emergency medical/​fire rescue field. He currently works for the City of Tamarac, Florida where he currently holds the rank of Lieutenant and Acting Battalion Chief. Tony has over 15 years of teaching experience in both the fire and EMS. Mr. Chin was formally with Florida Medical Training Institute where he acted in the capacity of Vice President of Operations.

Tony’s education includes Associates Degree in Fire Science and Associates Degree in Emergency Medical Services from FMTI. Mr. Chin is a National Registered EMT-​Paramedic, and State Certified Fire Officer I. Tony is a National and State of Florida Fire Instructor and holds instructor cards in BLS, ACLS, PHTLS, AMLS, and PEPP. Mr. Chin has competed in Advance Life Support competitions for several years. He has won over 20 competitions worldwide and is a two time Clincon Paramedic World Champion. Tony has also been named Broward County Paramedic of Year for 2009.
