Sawgrass Inn & Conference Center

HORRIBLE! Think of the worst case scenario & this place is it… no joke. We checked in & walked into our room. We were so scared by what we saw that we went right to the office to get our money back. (It was so gross we didn’t even want to put our stuff down.) It must happen often because the clerk didn’t even ask why, she just did it… So this is what we saw in the room: right off the bat the light going into the room was broken & we had to find a lamp in order to see anything. The base of the lamp was all rusted with (what looked like) fabric peeling off, rugs and ottoman were all stained, there were holes in the popcorn ceiling (pic provided), one of which was flaking off (pic) and falling onto the bed which was then covered in white particles (pic). The tub was leaking… no, FLOWING (pic), and everything from the bathroom fixtures to the furniture & appliances was 20+ years old & needs updating. Do yourself a favor & spend an extra $ 30 a night somewhere else! You’re welcome!!!

Unbelievable how awful this place turned out to be. Website photos are nothing near to what it is. I booked through
and was astounded that anyone would stay. The hallways are full of duck feces, so forget rolling your luggage to your room. The doors are not secure and my room door appeared as it had been broken into before. The whole place is run down and in desperate need of remodeling and refurnishing. The carpets, seat cushions, bedding, window trearments are either stained, overused, out dated, or all of the above. The stand lamp was rusted and falling apart. Outlets were missing covers and/​or not properly working. I wouldn’t pay $ 5 a night. Would be better off camping or sleeping in parking lot. Was offered an upgraded room when I complained, and it was worse looking than the one I had. To top things off, there was no Manager available on site and was told there wouldn’t be for 4 more days.
