Theo and Juliet are the #1 photographers in LA for headshots. Before coming in, Juliet will call and have a comprehensive consultation, which includes clothes & hair. She’s frank as hell, which is perfect because Juliet knows exactly what she’s talking about. She will know how and what to do to make you look the best you possibly can.
The shoot itself is a blast. Theo and Juliet’s combined eye for lighting, outfits, background, etc. make the shot easy and fluid. And of course, the photo come out stunning.

I have never been more excited to see my head-​shots next week. These two out did themselves. They are truly a dynamic duo. The feed off of each other so well.
From the beginning to the end it was an incredible head-​shot experience.
Before the shoot, Juliet called My mom, My manager and myself for a consultation about my clothes, my hair & what I want. The fact that she took the time to make sure I get everything ready, & if I don’t, what I need to get or do to get ready for my session, was great.
Juliet is brutally honest, and I love that about her. She tells you how it is, and what she expects from you. Yet she puts things in words you will understand.
When I got there, we got straight down to business. She looked at my clothes, I didn’t bring many options but she helped me and made it work with what I had brought.
She had asked me to come with my hair blow dried, the way that I would go to an audition. At first, I hated the idea, because most of the time I hate the way I do my own hair, but it made sense, and she touched up my hair and made it look better. When she started on my make-​up. She nailed it. Simple yet beautiful. She barely put anything on me which is the way i like it. I felt like she really got a sense of me.
When we were shooting Juliet & Theo just felt like they were so invested in me, and I felt special. They kept showing me a glimpse of certain shots, and I was so happy with how they were turning out :) When we finished, Theo explained everything I need to do when the images are online.
Overall, it was an out of this world headshot experience. I can’t wait to see how they all turned out. And with what I’ve seen so far, I feel so confident with my pictures and can’t wait to audition already.

I absolutely love my photos. I recently shot with Theo & Juliet and am SO glad I did. They took to the time to discuss what roles I would go out for and catered my shoot towards that in all the looks. They know what catches CD’s, agents’, and managers’ eyes in a little thumbnail so that it doesn’t blend in with the rest. Let me give you a hint… You had it right the first time, because I’ve never had one.

You were quick to have that taken down weren’t you? And what is it with your obsession with people’s presence and popularity on IMDB? I remember the very first time I ever spoke to you were trash talking my acting coach at Playhouse West, Holly, because of her IMDB credits. You’re so cliché it’s not even funny– measuring people’s worth in IMDB credits! Oh god.

I said I’m the office manager for a construction company in the review. «Now failed acting career» — since you know so little about me (except the various FACEBOOK surnames I’ve had– again– creepy!) how are you even able to make these kinds of judgements? Regardless, your comments are blatantly condescending and mean-​spirited as anyone who can read can see. Thank you for furthering my point about you! And to be honest, it’s people like you I kept encountering that contributed to my overall disenchantment with the acting business, motivating me to get as far away from it as I could.

I’ve never been so happy with a headshot photographer! Theo and Juliet are the perfect team. Juliet spends time with you before the shoot for preparation. She calls and gives a very thorough wardrobe consultation and gets to know more about you. The day of the shoot you walk in feeling confident and excited. Their dynamic is hilarious and amazing at the same time. It’s nice to have two eyes on you when you are taking photos. I was able to relax and not worry about my hair or makeup. I left knowing we got all we needed from my session and that I stayed true to who I am. These photos look like me and not what a photographer had in mind for me that day. My representation is very pleased with the results as well. I would definitely refer anyone I know to Theo and Juliet in a heartbeat!

Just Amazing! From start to finish! Unlike any other headshot experience I have ever had! It is the headshot experience you dream of! Theo and Juliet tailor the experience just for you– which is how it should be. No cookie cutter headshot mill here. They truly care about their clients and their careers. I can’t sing enough praises.
I look as my career as a business, and I believe you should invest in your business. If you want your business to be taken seriously then you need invest in the correct marketing tools. And to be honest, I have paid thousands of dollars over the years by spending a couple hundred here, a couple hundred there on mediocre headshots that NEVER WORK! Your headshot is one of the most important tools you have as an actor– it is what gets you jobs! Why wouldn’t you want the best? I just wish I realized this sooner.
The process is great. Some photographers don’t even communicate prior to the shoot– bad! Juliet takes the time to get to know you and your career. She dissects your headshots, your look, and what you realistically get called in for. She then gives the best wardrobe advice and immediately I felt confident in her words. Once you arrive at the shoot, Theo and Juliet make you feel so welcome and comfortable. Juliet’s eye for wardrobe and makeup is unreal. They have been in the business a long time and they know what works. Their energy is so fun, relaxed, and inspiring. I had the BEST time! And the best part, the PHOTOS! They are crisp, clean, and an accurate representation of what I really look like and can play, which are what headshots are supposed to be.

From my experience, everything about Theo and Juliet as people and professionals, and everything about the product they produce deserves five stars. Hands down. Five stars. Be more detailed with my reasoning? Well, since you asked…
Juliet. I called the number provided online and she called me back right away. She basically did a character analysis over the phone, listened to my answers to questions she asked, and coached me through each step I needed to take before I set up a headshot session appointment to ensure I got the most out of my time, money and ultimate shots. She is honest and straight to the point in a no-​BS kind of way while also being extremely warm and sincere. She listened to what I wanted in my new shots and made sure I was as prepared as I could be to get them. She made the shoot fun and provided a comfortable environment, which made the session very relaxed and simply a great time.
Theo. The first time I talked to him was at the shoot and I quickly learned that he is the yin to Juliet’s yang. With him, there was a perfect balance between the two. The creative master behind the camera. Subdued, deliberate, focused. With him, the ultimate team was created. I felt I was more than just a client they had for the morning, I felt appreciated and cared for – yes, for my career but also for my overall well-​being. For a talented headshot photography team, that is a rare find.
The Product. I couldn’t be happier with my shots! They are a great representation of who I am and what I look like – exactly what I would want to share with the casting powers that be. I was overjoyed with the amount of shots I left our session with and when I brought it down to the top ten choices for each look to share with my career team, I was disappointed that no opinions were being shared with me. I thus reached out to Theo and Juliet again and they took the extra time to help me narrow the selection down in an unbiased way. I was then more confident in the shots I chose that represent the different aspects of my personality and accurately match my castability range. If they ever switch over to becoming managers or agents some day, I would like to be on their roster because they were more helpful than my current ones!
Oh, and in only a couple of weeks of using my new shots, they’ve nearly paid for themselves with what I booked. Not bad ;)
Short of long: I had high expectations of Theo and Juliet Photography and they surpassed them. I do not hesitate referring them to anyone who is looking for a new headshot photographer because I sure got my money’s worth!

These people know what they are doing. I’m convinced they may be geniuses.
Juliet talked to me the whole time during doing my hair and makeup and she found out all about me, and I felt super comfortable and that we clicked.
She knew exactly what wardrobe pieces to pick for me and the looks we needed to capture to get marketable shots.
Then during the actual shoot, she wouldn’t stop talking to me and I remember points of thinking «OMG I’m paying so much money for this and I can’t even focus on the faces I’d practiced because Juliet won’t stop talking!» — LOL. Looking back, it’s ridiculous that I had pre-​manufactured «faces» I was going to make, and in fact, my shots turned out incredible.
The smiling shots were REAL, because I was smiling because Juliet made me laugh. The shots with attitude were REAL because I was thinking «I’m going to kill Juliet if she doesn’t let me focus on my serious face!»
I can’t sing enough praises for this dynamic duo.

I was looking for a few specific things when I reached out to Theo and Juliet for the first time three years ago: 1) being treated as a professional during the experience, 2) feeling as if they were professional and experts at their craft, 3) amazing pictures that are evergreen (they don’t look dated or posed or fake), and 4) a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
I got all those things when working with Theo and Juliet. From start to finish, I felt as if I was special and treated like some of their famous clients – even though I am not an actress or a Hollywood business person. Honestly, I thought maybe it was a bad idea for me to work with people who work with famous people. However, again, I was made to feel special – an authentic manner. Doesn’t everyone want that?
This was a great investment in my business and brand. No regrets. I loved them and loved working with Theo and Juliet. I have since kept in touch with them, and I am working them again next month.
My shoot was rescheduled when weather made it impossible to shoot in natural light. Juliet told me that natural light was crucial. She is absolutely right. When I look at other head shots I have done over the years, I can see why they aren’t great. They literally pale in comparison.
I was blown away by what they captured in my photos: I look like myself – except awesome hair and flawless, natural makeup – and I look relaxed and happy. I look like I am having fun.
My head shots impress my clients, and they tell me I look like my photos – again, very natural.

Theo and Juliet are the best headshot photographers I’ve ever worked with. I highly recommend them.
They are professional and know the industry incredibly well. They stay up to date on their craft and know exactly how to capture the best shots for their clients. All of my photos came out well-​composed and I had a variety to choose from. But, best of all, they all look like me. They are an accurate representation of what I look like when I walk into a room.
I am getting married in NYC in the fall and wish T&J also did weddings — I would fly them out here!
I will definitely keep using T&J for all of my headshot needs. They beautiful thing is that I have so many great shots from previous shoots, I won’t need new shots for a while. Also, they are just really cool to be around. I felt comfortable, entertained, and taken seriously while shooting with T&J. I miss them now that I am 3,000 miles away!

Having not had new headshots in 7 years and never having been really pleased with any prior shots I was really nervous to choose the wrong photographer this time around. I saw a shot a friend of mine had posted that really popped and asked who her photographer was. When she said Theo & Juliet I remembered other people telling me they were ‘expensive’ but my friend with the amazing shot spoke so highly of them that I decided to check them out. I’m so glad I did!
Juliet really took me by the hand. She recommended during my consult that I take my hair a shade darker for my shots because I was very light blonde and my skin tone is very pale which she said made me look like «white on white.» I did as she suggested and am so happy with the new color that I have kept it up in the year since.
The shoot itself was fantastic. I didn’t get nervous like had in shoots in the past because the atmosphere was so light and fun. I changed outfits like 6 times and got all the looks I wanted out of the one session. Makeup looked very good and though they are more expensive than some other photographers I didn’t have to pay that separately and I didn’t feel like we were counting looks or shots. Every time I changed Theo would play with changing out different backgrounds to get the end result to pop.
My shots turned out amazing. I have many I am using and have had great feedback on them from my agent and CDs around town. The most important thing is that they look like me. I can’t tell you how many actors I know whose shots look nothing like them… I mean, what’s the point of that?
Highly highly recommend them. Lovely people as well.

Every time I salivated over another actor’s headshot, and asked who shot them, I got the same answer– «Theo & Juliet!» I knew I was going to the Mercedes of headshot photographers, and the experience was everything I hoped for (and more!!)
My pictures friggin rock. The makeup and hair Juliet did made me look and feel like my best version of me (I loved it so much I begged her to do my makeup for a date that week– and she did!!:) But you know what was really surprising? I HAD FUN. I mean, a lot of fun. Who the hell has fun getting head shots done? It’s the most stressful experience ever, right? Not with Theo & Juliet. We laughed and had a blast the entire shoot. Hands down, the best headshots I’ve ever had in my acting career.
No matter which photographer you choose, it is always somewhat of a gamble as to whether it is going to be a good fit for you. Because of that I’m always nervous about getting new headshots. However, I am beyond thrilled that I chose to go with Theo and Juliet! My new pictures speak for themselves.
Juliet consults with you prior to your shoot. She is very honest and direct about your type, looks, hair, age range, etc., which is a GOOD thing! She and Theo have been doing this for decades and they KNOW what they’re talking about. Their suggestions are coming from a place of experience and helpfulness.
I’m someone who always finds it difficult to pick out my wardrobe for a headshot session, so I just brought a ton of clothes, according to the looks that Juliet had suggested for me. Juliet said she loved having options and just zipped through everything I brought, somehow managing to pair it down to 6 perfects outfits in a matter of minutes. AMAZING. Especially for someone like me who has a hard time making decisions.
Juliet does your hair and makeup and it is beautiful and natural and perfect for headshots. I am super picky about mine (like many of us are) and am delighted with how it turned out in my pictures.
Another thing is that I did have to reschedule my shoot a few times because I got the flu. They were very understanding and accommodating which I appreciate so much!
I know T&J also went above and beyond during my shoot to make sure that I got the best pics possible, staying a little later and doing an extra outfit for me. These guys are the BEST.
I hope they don’t retire anytime soon because I will be using Theo and Juliet for my headshots for years to come!

What an awesome experience.
I had my eye on Theo & Juliet Photography for over a year. The moment I saw their shots I knew we would be a great fit. I contact them and within no time at all, I was speaking with Juliet and setting up an appointment. The shoot was super fun– and relaxed. I felt really comfortable with Theo and Juliet– what a dynamic and hilarious couple. When my pictures came in, I was blown away. Not only were they beautiful, but I had SO many to choose from! Juliet was awesome in guiding and preparing me for the shoot. Helped with image consulting and targeting what I wanted to achieve in each look. The feedback on the shots has been nothing short of amazing. I am so so so thankful for their beautiful work and I look forward to working with them in the future…(I definitely won’t be in need of new shots for a long while :))

After first moving to LA and doing extensive research on all the best headshot photographers in town, I ended up landing on Theo&Juliet and I’m so glad I did.
The photos are beautiful and I totally trusted Juliet’s marketing advice. She guided me through getting my hair done before the shoot, what to bring, what looks to shoot for, how to dress, and of course kept my hair and makeup looking fresh and natural throughout the shoot. Theo was just crushing it with the camera the whole time — honestly, after I got the photos retouched, I almost couldn’t tell a difference they looked so great in the first place. I felt totally confident that they knew what they were doing and weren’t taking advantage of me being a newbie in the business, which is something I often worry about.
And it’s definitely expensive, but I shot 5 looks and have constant access to all of the photos and the peace of mind that comes with having options when it comes to these things is priceless. And I’m not loaded either — I spent half of my savings on photos when I came here a few months ago — but I’m serious about being successful and if you are too then the investment is worth it, no doubt about it.
Because I’m new, I can’t compare them the my experience to any others, but I can definitely say how happy I am with how they turned out. If I do say so myself, I expect to see a major return on my investment.
