Walked in on an overcast morning and my wife and I we were greeted with a sincere warm caring friendly smile by Sophia. and couldn’t have felt more at home. she asked all the right questions and made us feel like we come in every day. Bought two pancake bacon and egg breakfasts with coffee and it was hot fast and not diner greasy. Will defiantly be back. the staff was great, music relaxing but energetic. Sophia is a huge asset to this company. Thank you for making a very tough month much better.

I have always received great service at Corner Bakery Café. I wish I could remember her name, but it starts with an M and she is a short brunette… anywho, She is AMAZING. She clearly loves her job and strives for outstanding customer service. I come here often, since it is close to the university I attend and service is pretty fast so I know I won’t be waiting a long time for my food. My go to is the caesar salad, Chicken Tortilla Soup, or the pesto cavatappi. I love this place. It’s an upgrade from Panera, however I wish there were more outlets so I could do my homework here too!

I really want to love this place, but I’m never happy with their customer service. Employees act like they don’t care, or can be just plain rude to some people. The drinks are just OK. Their«fresh» lemonade/hibiscus lemonade tastes like instant and their smoothies taste like an overpriced Slurpee. BUT I do like their salads and sandwiches, so despite the negatives I still end up eating here from time to time.

Not sure why they do not have a higher rating because everytime I come here, the service is wonderful. The staff is friendly, helpful and are always cleaning things up. Definitely give them a try.

Is there a new manager working there at night now? We were there earlier, 7:45 p.m. This place is supposed to close at 9, but they were already putting chairs up on tables, yelling back and forth, sweeping all around our food etc. I have noticed the same thing happening the last few times we were there. I get that the workers want to leave early, but clearing up an hour and 15 minutes before closing is not cool. It seems like they switch management constantly here, one time we came during the lunch hour and the manager(tattooed lady) was sitting there in the customer area messing with her phone the entire time and meanwhile the tables were filthy, food all over the floor in places etc. They need to hire some responsible people to manage this place.

When we arrived, we waited in line to order, it is cramped and the beverage area is difficult to locate. The blonde cashier seemed depressed and like she hated her job… so it did no feel welcoming. It was OK towards the kids, but they offer no coloring or activity for them. So they were antsy and hard to entertain. ITFELT like a more expensive panera, but the quality of pastries and food is not as good as panera… HOWEVER, I admit the tomatoes basil soup was good and fresh tasting, but not enough to bring me back. I loved the Asian pulled sandwhich sauce. The cookies were not soft and chewy… the mini cakes were dry. The pasta I had with bacon and peas was so dry, I couldn’t even eat it. SOME of the outdoor seating is heated, though… The service was rather slow, a to go order was served before us… even though they came several customers after us. The parking is also a bummer. I’ll stick to panera, they do offer nice looking catering, though…

I have been to this place numerous times. I’ve always had great friendly service by whoever is working behind the counter. There’s plenty of seating both inside and outside(with a fireplace nearby the outside seating). Their panini’s and salads are good as well as their pastries. During his visit, I only had an ice tea and a good book to read. Definitely recommend this place.

Only giving a 4 star because of the service i received today by the Manager and one of the workers. I ordered a chopped salad and it was very bland, no flavor, nothing. When they came to bust the table she asked what was wrong and she immediately got the Manager. He apologized and asked what they can do to make it up. Not wanting to make a big deal of it, I was pleased as to how fast I was able to be attended to. I hope this isn’t just a one time thing because the food is great just the customer service(cashiers) make you not want to be there. Hoping things turn around for the better!

Overall a copy cat of Panera. My group got breakfast selections. They didn’t have any potatoes despite being an option. The toast was floppy. The scrambles were subpar. One of our orders was forgotten. Another took forever to get out. The one redeemable thing was their slightly dry coffee cake.

Food was ehhh. Ordered the Southwest Avocado & received the Southwest Chicken Salad. Did not taste all that great. Also ordered the cinnamon bun. I asked them to warm it up for me & it came out cold. So I went back to the counter to ask them to warm it up & they just put it in the microwave! I was expecting them to warm it up in an oven. Hubby ordered the chicken Ceasar Flatbread & that was so tiny for $ 5.99! Overall, it was okay. I may come back & give them another chance to try other things on their menu.

Here is my first impression of the Pleasant Hill Corner Bakery Café: I received good service… It was my first time walking in here, and I had no idea what to order. I was simply overwhelmed by the breakfast menu… So many options, too many possibilities. Luckily, They were VERY patient. Ultimately, I decided to try out one of the panini breakfast combos. Upon arrival, I soon realized that this is not just any Panini that you would get from a freezer or a toaster oven. The Chicken Applewood Panini I ordered included delicious chicken applewood sausages that were complemented with scrambled eggs hugged by two crispy slices of sourdough bread that would would perform a symphony in your mouth with each bite! The chicken applewood, has a bit of a sweet taste to it to satiate those sugar cravings for the entire 3 – 5 minutes of engulfing this panini. I also decided to try the optional side of breakfast potatoes. The potatoes were seasoned and cooked with onions, enough to tease your taste buds and keep them salivating for more. While the panini breakfast combo had nourished my hunger, I hydrated myself with an ice cold truffle mocha. I think it should be renamed the«World Famous Iced Truffle Mocha.» The truffle mocha reminds me of a grown up version of chocolate milk, with CAFFEINE. Maybe that’s why I’m so enthusiastic with this writing this review… I digress. The drink itself has a smooth, chocolate milk-like consistency, with a great taste that makes you forget you just drank a shot of espresso. The location itself, is nice, clean, well maintained by the hardworking staff. There are some booths that have outlets that you can power up your laptops and devices. It seems like a good place to do writing, reading, meeting with others, in addition to engorging on the menu of countless items.

I’ve been receiving hate mail from the staff of Corner Bakery in my Unilocal inbox, so I decided to pay a visit today. I didn’t think it could get much worse, but it certainly has. Filthy! Also, my sandwich smelled like cigarette smoke. WHY? Service: still awful! Pretty sure the cashier was on speed. You’d think that would result in faster service, but no. Never, ever going back. Oh, and to the staff who keep sending me hate mail: please learn basic spelling and grammar, and please look up the words your and you’re. You keep saying«your a bitch,» but what you mean is, «you’re a bitch.» And yes, honey, you better believe I am.

3.5 stars. For a casual eatery, this place is pretty good. I came with my son and another family. The kids enjoyed their Mac and Cheese and had a good time coloring with the supplies that they gave us. I had the Asian salad and soup, which was pretty good.

Corner bakery has good food, so I will give them that. The place is well kept and the workers are friendly. Since this was my first visit, I won’t hold a single experience against them. I really don’t like reading reviews on first impressions. It’s good to give a place a second chance. DON’T BESOUPTIGHTPEOPLE! So I’m leaving room on both sides for error and improvement. My food, along with other customers’ food, was left on the expedite area for quite a long time, while the workers walked by. The place wasn’t too busy, so I’d expect someone to take care of me in a timely matter. I WILL be back. Hopefully the next experience is much better.

This is your standard Corner Bakery which is a good thing! It is quite homey and spacious! I love coming here for their breakfast items and take it easy on a weekend. The parking in this area could be a little tricky at times(during more popular hours) but generally do-able. I think they have one of the best breakfast grilled cheese sandwiches in the area for a very reasonable price! I also like the fact that you can just order and sit yourself(which generally means you don’t need to tip hehe). A great clean establishment!

I can see Corner Bakery becoming a go-to for dependably decent breakfast. The food is sufficiently delicious, the staff are sufficiently friendly, but the price is slightly a bit more than I would be willing to pay for the quality of food they have. We had the smoked bacon and cheddar panini with a side of fruit salad to share and a maple pecan bar to go. The panini was big enough to split between two not-too-hungry people, but it was just alright to me. I would not dissuade anyone from ordering it, but it is just not something I would ever crave. The fruit salad was kind of sad, maybe a quarter of a cup and while the fruits were fresh, I think a couple more days of waiting for them to ripen would have been a good idea. The maple pecan bar was delicious, though. I would go back, but Corner Bakery is not just the first place I would think of if I want great breakfast.

I’ve only come here for baked goods so my review is a bit lacking since apparently they have decent breakfast foods like an assortment of breakfast sandos. I’ve had the pumpkin muffin twice now in a span of a few weeks. The first time it was excellent, nice and fluffy with a perfectly lightly crispy muffin top. This morning the pumpkin muffin top was a bit too crisp on the outer layer. It was like biting a crispy chip with a nice crunch. The inside was moist and fluffy however. i come fairly early when they open so there hardly is a line amd service has been friendly and fast with a smile. There other baked goods look pretty nomalicious so I’ll have to try others when I’m not in a pumpkin mood. Definitely try this place if you’re tired of Peet’s down the same block.

Yet another lone lunch day for me. Yes it was a busy place but the line goes really fast. You walk up to the counter and order from the board. Or I grabbed a menu and read it as I waited in line. I went with the Chicken Pomodori sandwich and a Decaf Americano with a cup of Cheddar Broccoli soup. It was a cool day but the inside of the place is sweltering. Add a cup of hot soup and hot coffee I was a little sweltering. You have to go find your seat anywhere you would like. I chose a two seater that was half booth half chair aisle. I did some people watching out the large corner windows. My sandwich was fresh and hot. It went so well with the soup. Cheddar Broccoli Soup is my favorite and I scooped up every bite. It was such a great lunch choice on my part. I must say that the bread they served along my soup were so divine. Nothing like a luscious piece of bread to sop up your soup with. It really made my giant lunch even more the carbolicious. As I was eating someone walked around and gave out Brownie samples. She asked«Would you like a brownine sameple?» You really dont have to ask. Heck yes! Customer service was great. They are prompt when bringing your drink and food to you. I was really happy with coming in here. Parking may detour me around lunch time but if Im here early or late enough, which tends to be my lunch eating time, Im coming here.
