I am happy to see Mike’s getting great reviews. I have been coming here since around 2001 and have developed trust in their service. They are the one mechanic I have found that will tell you if you do not need work done. I would highly recommend them for a second opinion if you aren’t sure about some expensive work quoted elsewhere. The prices here are great and you can drop off the car before they open leaving the keys in a secure drop box.

I have been taking my cars to Mike’s Automotive for about twelve years. Mike and Brian are the best most honest mechanics I have ever heard of or met. They have never failed to repair my vehicles and on several occasions they have been able to make a quick simple tweak and send me on my way and refuse to charge me anything. These guys are the best. Over the years I have recommended Mike to friends and hope the Unilocal platform helps to spread the word. This is the best mechanical shop in the area!

Mike’s Auto lived up to other glowing reviews. Had a problem with my Subaru. After checking that a fuse wasn’t the problem, the Owner’s Manual said take it to the dealer. Ha ha. So a friend recommended Mike’s. It took them awhile to narrow down the problem, but they did. Then they had to find a replacement part which took awhile as this is a 1999 model. It took a few days to get the part (NP, I had my car back while waiting) but when it came in my car was fixed the very next day. And they totally, correctly diagnosed the problem. Spot on. Thank you. Oh, and the final price tag came in less than the estimate. I know that doesn’t always happen, but still nice when it does.

We’ve been taking our vehicles to Mike for many years, and have recommended him to all our friends and family in this area. He is just the BEST! We’ve been so impressed with the quality of his work and even more valuable than that: his INTEGRITY. Several times he has given us an estimate for work, and then when we go to pick it up, we find out that he was able to make the repairs for LESS than the estimate… how often do you get that from a mechanic these days? We were able to keep our 1993 vehicles in great running condition up until we sold them last year – and they are still running – thanks to Mike’s high quality of work. He also takes good care of our elderly mother and her ‘elderly’ cars. :) Just can’t say enough good about Mikes Automotive Service! Honesty, quality work, friendly service – excellent all around!

Mike is most honest mechanic that I have met around! I took my car in with the most awful rattling noise under the hood. I honestly thought it might cost at least $ 1000 to fix it. I would have believed it needed it, but recieved a curtosy call that my car was ready. As it turns out, the oil was low in my car, it reduced the pressure and tension on the timing belt chain, so for the cost of an oil change, my car was fixed! Mike is the best you can find, and very reasonably priced.

Best Auto shop around! They are honest and prices are great. My mother and I both got services done together, we walked to eat breakfast (so many places to choose from) and did a little window shopping by the movie theaters. Before we knew it we got a courtesy called letting us know our cars were ready. Two thumbs up to this establishment!

MIke is the best! He is so honest and will never overcharge you. More than once, my quote was higher than my actual bill! When Sears told me I needed a new battery, he said I only needed a charge. He is fast and always does a thorough job. I will only take my car here!

I called to schedule a belt replacement and asked about scheduling some other services for my 2008 Subaru Impreza, which were on the factory recommended maintenance schedule. The mechanic I spoke with immediately asked why I thought I needed the services and said most modern cars did not need so much maintenance. I took my car in, they replaced the one belt, and did a thorough inspection and told me everything else looked really good. They were busy but my car was ready in a couple of hours. I really appreciate the honesty, that they did only the necessary work at a decent price, and did it quickly. My car runs great now and it’s great to have a good and trustworthy mechanic!

Integrity, honestly and Intelligence are virtues very difficult to find in the automotive field. To lend a little credibility to my claim, I started out my life as a journeyman mechanic back when there was such a thing so I know a little bit about what goes on in the shop. Both Mike and Brian truly stand out in their field as knowing exactly what is going on and how to fix it correctly the first time and having true integrity without parallel in the industry. Perfect work 100% of the time, no matter what, at always a fair price. There is none better !

Car was stalling when I started it up, took it to the walnut creek honda dealer and paid $ 400 for them to look at it, supposedly fix the problem. Of course they didn’t and would not refund any money. Took it to Mikes and they diagnosed the problem over the phone-​got the problem fixed and corrected it quickly at a fair price. I would recommend them and use them again.

Mike is the man! I had issues with my Honda that several other places were completely stumped with (or they charged me out the wazoo for a solution that didn’t work)…I took it to Mike’s and BAM problem solved! After my Honda was fixed, we sent 5 or 6 more vehicles to him (big family = lots of cars) and every time the problem was resolved on time and within our budget.
Mike and his crew are honest and hard working, which is rare to come by in the auto repair/​mechanic industry. It doesn’t surprise me one bit to see the countless other 5 star reviews.
We learned our lesson trying other mechanics, and will continue to take our vehicles to Mike’s!

Dropped of my truck for brakes and smog… They gave me a phone call in the afternoon «your truck is done» I set down then asked «how much was the damages»?
WOW, REALLY? I was only charged for the SMOG. My brakes were good, there were plenty of pads left.
These guys could have charged me for unneeded repairs… They didn’t and i’m greatful. I was so happy, I told my ex she should use them for her car repairs.
