Long story in short words. Their sale person MIke is awesome. After we signed a contract, nightmare started show up. Quality of product? Time will show it. Team is unbelievable. They think money. They ignore you, but when time to pay… Next, your backyard is not anymore yours. This is their project site. Crew smoked, dropped garbage, filled my planter box with dirt. Furthermore, it took me time to explain project manager that crew have to show up when it scheduled not when they decided sometimes after. Be aware, if you buy full service from them. You have to pay right after they put surface by its contract. so, your equipment and spa installation will happen sometimes after. I was lucky do not pay last payment. I could not imagine what if I paid full before… etc. Hope, they do good quality job because I do not want any warranty service with them.

We just had our pool redone by Adams and we couldn’t be happier! Our pool was showing signs of age — discolored plaster, missing tiles, loose coping and was leaking. I talked with several companies and decided to go with Adams as they seemed to be the most solid option. They gave me a detailed outline of what needed to be done, how they would go about doing it and the cost of the project. Once the contract was signed the project coordinator contacted me and let me know who would be coming and when they would be here. The entire crew — salesman, project manager, project coordinator and all the workers took pride in their work and executed accordingly. Our pool was done in two weeks. It looks beautiful! I wish all home improvement projects went as smoothly as this one did.

I needed an estimate to repair a leak. I called and left them voicemail 3 times. I also requested an estimate 3 times on their website.
Never heard a word.

Just bought a home with a 40 year old pool that had never been replastered so it was time. Met with 5 different pool companies: Diamond, Burkette, and a few others but went with Adams. They were not the cheapest but they seemed the most knowledgable and confident about their results. I was impressed at the follow up by Craig Angove, one of their salesmen. Great guy! Their showroom was awesome and it really helped us make decisions on everything. End results is a gorgeous pool! My only negative comment is about their scheduling through Martha. Very nice person but she did not do a very good job of imforming us on what was going on when but ultimately it was all good. Oh and we went with Adams pebbletec which is beautiful!

my pool was resurfaced by swan pools 10 years ago and the job failed within the first five years — Adams pool was hired to replaster and retile the pool — their employees take pride in their work — they worked in 100+ degrees heat never slowing down — they are fast efficient — keep to their budget — I highly recommend Adams Pool — in my opinion, they really are the best in the bay area

I called a week ago to get someone out here to find a solution and build an awesome pool… have yet to get a call back and apparently that’s the same problem everyone else has to. As gorgeous as their work is I’m gonna save myself the grief of dealing w a company that has lack of communication and I’ll be going else where.

After talking to 3 other pool companies, we decided on Adams and not because they were the cheapest… we decided on them because they were the most knowledgeable.
We had a pool renovation that was not your ordinary renovation. Mike Anderson came out and explained how everything would work and promptly gave us a quote. I was immediately impressed, so we decided to pull the trigger.
IF YOU COULD SEE OUR POOL NOW… it is friggin fabulous. Mike actually helped us with our custom color… I highly recommend additional glass… it’s worth the extra $$$. He was always available to deliver samples and help us with tile sections. We were actually building a spa on our property at the same time with another pool contractor, and Mike helped us coordinate the finishes so our place would ROCK.
Rob was the supervisor? Sorry Rob… I don;t know your official title but you were great too and always available.
And I can’t forget Mark. for giving me the daily updates.
Overall a GREAT GREAT GREAT experience!

Had Adams pools resurface my pool with pebble tech tahoe blue. Gary came out got a nice run through of what was going to happen, they wanted to increase my flow over vault height… I agreed to whatever was going to work best. They were in and out in one week, then hell started. My leak continued to leak, the vault was overflowing into the yard. I spent hundreds if not thousands in water cost because it took until July to get things figured out. We started the project in the first week of January. It was the biggest nightmare of my life. I wanted to just fill the pool up with dirt. The company would not return my calls. They were very unprofessional about the whole situation. I finally vented to one of the managers and told him you need to communicate, that’s all I am asking for. What kind of good business does not follow up with customer service, especially an unsatisfied customer. It almost got to the point of having to bring in legal services. To this day it still pisses me off… They installed an overflow mechinism and I still don’t know how it works because no one would come out and show me how to adjust it.
I really don’t like writing bad reviews, but these guys deserve it.

what can I say omg this has been the best experience with contractors I have ever had in my life so far. The work was completed on time, on budget with constructive interaction with everyone involved. I would recommend them to everyone!

Called these people out for a quote, had to call twice. Someone came out to see what we wanted to do. Two weeks later asked for them to drill down on some items in the quote, missed the deadline… Had to follow up and then I received a letter that they aren’t interested too busy… really a phone call would have been nice instead of just sending a letter… Lack of Communication — glad we aren’t going with them this could have been a big problem…

I called them to get a quote on my pool remodeling and the nice guy on the phone got all my information and assured me that someone will call me to schedule an appointment soon. It’s been 2 weeks and I have not heard from them. If this is any indication if how they do business I would stay away from them.

We live in the Santa Cruz area and needed to remodel our 1985 vintage pool and equipment, a fairly serious and expensive project. I interviewed virtually all the big pool contractors in the bay area to get a feel for their sense of the scope of work and pricing. Everyone we talked to with the exception of Adams felt that we should demo the coping and plaster to ensure a good finished product. My wife and I felt the coping was still in good shape and that the plaster had very few areas that needed to be repaired, so we were unsure of how to proceed.
When we met with Tony Adams, he looked everything over and told us he could indeed save the coping and plaster and still give us a project that would stand the test of time. He said that they would grount in the new tile but use a flexible mastic for the top joints, which allowed us to save the coping. We also decided to saw cut and replace the entire expansion joint around the pool to prevent deck movement.
We replaced all the equipment, tile, and put a Pebble Tec plaster finish over the repaired original plaster. Every Adams crew we met were friendly, professional and respectful of our house and landscape. Our project was finished in early August on time and on budget, so we couldn’t be more pleased that we hired Adams Pool Solutions to remodel our pool. Thanks to Tony, Marc, Steve, Allan, and everyone at Adams for a great job.

A follow up to my prior post. After 18 months the new tile that Adams had installed started to come loose. When I contacted them they had someone out to look almost immediately. Within a week the sent their crew in and fixed the problem and re-​tiled about ¹⁄₃ the pool perimeter. It was less than two weeks from when I first contacted Adams to when the pool was repaired and back in operation.
So great response and it indicates they do stand by their work. After this experience I’d say its as good as it gets when a company really does stand behind their work. s

Our pool was done by Adams in March of this year. I had contacted four different companies for estimates. Adams wasn’t the cheapest, but they did negotiate a little on their overall quote and given their reputation, I ended up going with them. Ryan is a great sales person, would even reply to emails over the weekend. Some questions I had about changing things in the quote did take some time to get answered.
Once the project started, I was very impressed. Mark from the office called every day and left a message on the status of the work. Since I was rarely home when they were working, it was great to know what was going on. There was a 2 – 3 day delay in some of the work due to weather, but who has every worked with a contractor that was exactly on time? Being told daily that there was a delay made it all easier than me having to guess what was going on.
The workmanship is excellent. The machine they used to take out the old plaster was really really loud, but they never started very early which was great for the neighbors. Unfortunately, the day they did the plaster they showed up at 630 or 7am and that machine was also very loud. I wish I was given some notice to let the neighbors know ahead of time.
But it’s beautiful, the tile work, the plaster, it’s all very well done. The customer service was excellent. The workers that came were very polite, tidy, no trash left behind. Overall, we were really happy with everything.

Ok I am remodeling my pool I used Adams Pool Solutions in Pleasanton.
First off I would like to Rikki who works in the office for her excellent customer service.
She was very helpful in helping me select some tile that I ended up using in a pool mosaic. Ok Back to the pool. Our sales person Ryan was very nice even though it was hard to reach him sometimes. However once we went to the office we were able to select the pool coping and tile and pool color Pepple Plus Sapphire Blue. So we wait about 3 weeks for them to start. We are on the schedule to start on the 7^th which we did. They drained the pool and next they came and and took out the tile and coping. The guys where very polite and did a great job of cleaning. But they broke the fill line that supplies water to the pool. No problem I call my scheduler and he would have that fixed before the coping installed. So her is when the problem came up.
We were having all the plaster removed from the pool this process is called chipping.
So these guys were suppose to show up the next day after the finish with the tile and coping. I got a call from our scheduler telling me they were coming the next day which was a Thursday. They didn’t show nor did I get a call telling me that they were not coming. So I call them. They call back and told me that they had to stay at the current job site because they didn’t finish and they would be there Friday. Friday came and they do not show up. I call again. They had some problem with there truck. So Monday they were coming and now show again. I am really not happy at this point.
So I let my scheduler know how unhappy I was. So they finally showed up on Tuesday these guys were amazing. This has got to be some of the most back breaking work I’ve ever seen. They stripped all the plaster from the walls and floor of the pool it looked like something with huge claws came in a clawed up the pool. It took two days. They clean up really well. So now I’m feeling better. So I’m expecting we are on a roll everything is going well. Guess what there was a problem with the tile I ordered. Some problem I don’t know on who’s end. But I don’t really care. I just want my pool to be done. Well the tile gets here and the guys show up when they are suppose to. They do a beautiful job on the coping. Next day installing the (tile I had to wait a week for) they came up short. But they called and found some more in Hayward so they sent someone down with the additional tile. Good jobs guys. Anyway they team that installed the coping and tile were super great. They did such a beautiful job I am so happy. They next day the team comes out to install the pepple finish. They were here at 6:30 am They installed that stuff in record time and OMG is it a beautiful thing. Today a new team of two is here right now sanding down the pepple finish to acid wash. And I get to put water in the pool. I am so happy. There are still a couple of lose ends but I’m sure they will be handled. All in all The work they did was exceptional. However I had to down grade them for the schedule mishaps and tile problem otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

When my wife and I finally decided to have a in ground swimming pool installed I went to work!
I’m the kind of person that over researches projects at my home, especially BIG ones like a Swimming Pool!
I met with 7 yes! SEVEN pool contractors (6 too many) 99% of these so called pool builders are nothing more than «front men» with NO employees, NO equipment, all they are someone trying to make 20% more than you need to spend! They Sub Contract out EVERY PHASE OF THE JOB! And 99% of their licenses had issues when I checked «on line» with the California State contractors license board, no insurance, violations etc. Adams on the other hand was/​is squeaky clean and they hold many licenses, not just the pool contractors license!
I had previously known that Adams Pool Solutions did pool resurfacing and I decided to call them and ask for a recommendation for a pool contractor! To my surprise they told me they are now and have been for many years building NEW pools… TG I made that phone call. I first met with their lead sales person Mike Hopkins and he’s a true professional, NO BS! and we immediately became friends and more importantly my wife and I decided to go with Adams Pool Solutions.
Mike did many «3-​D» renderings of my yard and we could visually see what the pool would look like… Wow this was really cool as we made changes to the design even before the 1^st shovel full of dirt was removed. REALLY HELPFUL!
Adams on the other hand employees nearly 90% of the entire job. They have all their OWN equipment and licensed employees. TRUST ME THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT !
Adams did everything except the finish deck material around the pool and the excavation. Even though they Sub this work out you would think IT’S «their guys» as Mike is «on them» the entire way!
Like every Big project there are always hiccups along the way… Mike was always there to hand me a glass of water :-)
Now a little INFO regarding their company. Any schedule issues were handled by their office manager Rosi who took care of everything Fast and Professionally.
If I ever had an issue with something I called Tony Adams directly on his cell phone, this is truly refreshing that an owner of a big company is available on his private cell phone and actually answers his own calls and handles issues himself!
THIS BLEW ME AWAY… TONY IS AWESOME!
I truly didn’t know how much work was involved installing a new pool… WOW…A LOT!
After the DIG… I looked at my back and side yard which by the way… get ready… it’s a war zone!
When I asked Mike… how much longer will this take?
He looked at me and said…“we are really good at making a mess and even better at putting it back together… WOW was he RIGHT ABOUT THIS!
When they started the job Mike gave me a completion date and they came in a WEEK EARLY!
By this review you might think I work for Adams but I Don’t !!
If your thinking about a New Pool I would recommend you call Adams and have them put you in contact with Carl in Novato Ca. Pool completed the very end of 2012 and they will give you my telephone number and your invited to come see our New Oasis.
In closing its very important to me that when I had questions/problems…which trust me you will no matter who you decide to have build your Pool… Adams answered ALL my questions and ALL issues were resolved/​fixed within 1 – 2 days… YES…1 or 2 Days Max!
Their «in the field» person assigned to my job after completion was/​is Mark M. and he’s GREAT! Mark explained to me how the equipment works, how to adjust the equipment if necessary (which everything works perfectly) and is always available for questions or concerns.
Once again… I totally «OVER» RESEARCHED THIS POOL INSTALL.

Called several times to set up a consultation and never heard back from them.

We were introduced by a friend to the folks at Adams Pools. We sat down and talked with the owners in regards to how we wanted our pool and patio remodeled.
After a bit of time, our ideas were not just on paper but on the laptop screen as well! We were able to see what our pool was going to look like before the work even started. It was exciting!
The pool and patio work came out better than we had imagined. The estimated time frame was longer than it actually took to finish the project.
My wife and I have, and always will, recommend Adams Pools! They’re great!

I initially called Adams Pool to repair and resurface my spa. The salesperson, Steve, came out within a few days to take a look and give me an estimate. I was happy with that and that he gave me a decent estimate a couple of days later. Unfortunately that is the last time anyone from Adams has bothered to return my calls. Three calls to Steve, one to the repair department and one to their office manager have all gotten me exactly no where. Finally getting hung up on when I tried to leave their office manager a message and I am done with them.
