Well, that was pre-emptive. A friend was so excited to hear my news that she took me to get them. At the store, when I asked to get my shoes on hold, I was disappointed to learn that the box said 7, but the shoes were 7 ½. She asked me if they would still fit :(Not cool. I didn’t want to throw a tantrum(because they are just shoes and I am supposed to be a grown up) and it wasn’t anyone’s fault. At least she called the warehouse, and I was able to purchase them with free shipping to my house(naturally, of course — why should I have to pay for that?) Another girl tried to sell me some new patent leather shoes at a discount, which would’ve been better appreciated if I had gotten the discount on the shoes that they DIDN’T have that I had to order. Unfortunately, I left empty-handed. When I finally got them in the mail a week later, it wasn’t the same feeling that I had expected, but at least they were brand new. I really should have bought them that day in SF. Lesson learned.

The staff here is amazing especially the stock guy. He is the backbone of the store so all the attractive girls can get your shoes out to you. My G/F has bought over 30 pairs of shoes from here and hasn’t broken the bank. This is definately a ok place to find some good shoes

«These boots are made for walkin’, and that’s just what they’ll do. One of these days, these boots are gonna walk all over you» –Nancy Sinatra As Lea B.(who would have been with me if she wasn’t working today) said, it’s pretty hard to find something that you have the perfect picture of in your mind’s eye. Damned if Bakers didn’t come close.(I didn’t get the sweet deal she did though; I cannot eat out for the next week after buying those…)

I would almost border this review on five stars, but I haven’t decided if the shoes are perfect for the occasion yet or not, plus I just bought ‘em today so I haven’t worn ‘em yet. Anyway, I went with a friend to the Stoneridge mall today to look for shoes for my wedding. And I’ve learned that when you have something pretty specific in mind, it’s fricking challenging to find it. I’m a fiend for the color pink, but since I didn’t exactly want to do a pink wedding dress, I figured pink shoes would be the next best thing. But I don’t want a heel more than a couple inches high because my fiancé is shorter than me. But I need one at least an inch high so my dress doesn’t drag on the ground, so flats were out. Do you know how hard it is to find a good pink shoe(oh yeah, I also want open-toed so I can get a pedicure and show it off) that doesn’t have a 3+ inch heel? It’s hard. I found some promising ones at Nordstrom, but they didn’t have my size(and the heel was minimum 2.5 inches, if not 3 inches). Anyway, my friend suggests we try Bakers, but I always thought it would be expensive because it’s a nice-looking store, but I found some on sale there for $ 19.99(half off)! Check out the picture. Anyway, they’re a brighter pink than I was thinking, but heck, I wanted something funky and unexpected to wear under my delicate lace wedding gown! I’ve still got to try ‘em with the dress and see if they work, but thanks Bakers for giving me the best possibility! And the girl who helped us was SUPER nice!
