Doug and his team helped us purchase our new house in Pleasanton. We contacted Doug last year and discussed our desired neighborhood and to find us a home in that particular area. In January of this year (2010), my husband and I made a decision to sell our home in the Upper Rockridge neighborhood of Oakland and move to Pleasanton. This was a big decision. I had grown up in Oakland all of my life, and with two small children, had settled nicely into our community and neighborhood. The website documents all the neighborhoods in Pleasanton with descriptions of each and a map to help newcomers visualize the areas. Doug also has video of the neighborhoods as well which is helpful especially if one forgets, as we did after seeing as many open houses, what the neighborhoods *look* like. Second, Doug was personable, approachable, ALWAYS accessible and always willing, able and desirous to hear our concerns and answer our questions. Third, Doug’s professional expertise and knowledge of the Pleasanton area was unmatched. He steered us in the right buying direction and when it finally came down to the buying process, Doug effortlessly negotiated the inevitable back and forth with a steady hand and as a consequence made us feel confident and at ease during an understandably very nerve wracking time.
The last, and perhaps most telling thing I will mention about Doug is that Doug does not «leave» you when the final house contracts have been signed. He has been at our disposal to answer any questions we may have, e.g. where is the best Chinese take-​out, and he has been kind enough to invite us to client parties where we have been able to meet other new Pleasanton families and to introduce us to other families in our new neighborhood.
I have already recommended Doug Buenz to two of our family friends that are thinking of relocating to the Pleasanton area and will continue to do so to others who may make the move East.
