I had over 2,000 photos to scan – some in good shape, some old and taped to paper backing with 50-year-old tape, some cut out an no longer rectangular, etc. Alan at East Bay Scanning scanned a sample color and a sample black and white picture for me, and the results were good and the file size reasonable, so I brought in all the photos(2,600!). I had very limited time to complete this project, a present for my aunt’s 80th birthday, and I wouldn’t have wanted to have these precious old pictures lost in shipping to India or wherever else most scanning companies ship pictures for scanning. And the price was so reasonable, especially compared to the incredible amount of time it would have taken to do it myself on my flatbed scanner. The pictures were finished a day ahead of time. Alan treated this project as if it was his own. From my end, this was 100 percent stress free. These guys truly did a perfect job. They offer enhancements at a very reasonable prices as well, e.g., auto rotation of photos, auto enhancement(they give you the original scan AND the enhanced scan so you can choose), and more. I have another big scanning job coming up, and I feel lucky to have Eastbay Scanning as a resource. Their Web site is simple and clear and explains everything – price, quality, etc. Zero hassle!

Recently my father passed away and I was in need of a service to scan random family photo’s and albums. Alan called me right back after I left a voicemail. He was very upfront with costs and very responsive. After meeting Alan, I felt very comfortable handing over our family memories. It was also a plus that they are local, no mailing of photos required. They went above and beyond to get all our family memories scanned!

Was in a bind to get a slideshow done for my grandmother’s funeral, and Alan at Eastbay scanning came to my rescue! Although their website says 400 photo’s minimum… I called them up and they were willing to scan my smaller batch of 120 photos or so. Dropped the photos off on a Wednesday around noon, and he texted later that night to say I could pick them up anytime the next day. The DVD was flawless! Picture quality… excellent. No complaints whatsoever! Returned the photos to me(many of them from the 1930’s and earlier) in the condition I received. Could not have asked for better service. Will definitely be using Eastbay Scanning again for all of my photo and video scanning needs. Thanks a bunch Alan! Cash, Check, or Credit accepted.
