Four Points by Sheraton Pleasanton

Beautiful outdoor area with fun activities. Kind staff. Free shuttle. BUT there are bugs here. Earwig in the bathroom that crawled into the wall and then a roach or beetle on the desk top. Caught it with a plastic cup. Gross. That’s a deal breaker.

I will never come back to this hotel. the only good thing was the courtyard. internet never worked and i was told i’d be given compensation and additional points for the inconvenience, neither were done. only place i could access the internet was in the lobby and that’s not place i want to do job searches and business correspondence.
your prices are totally out of line for what you give in the bar or food. I was also there for a 50 yr reunion that had been set up mouths before and your staff got Nothing right on it. Some ladies booked a suite way in advance, but it wasn’t avail. our IHS group had a block of rooms we were booking for but we ended up scattered all or the complex, front just just said that’s co. policy. Had a buffet dinner in a banquet room that had not been set up at all. The person who came after 3 of us girls set up tables and chairs and folded napkins, table cloths avail were filthy, said he was scheduled to come 1 hr before the event to set up, what a joke. Food was sparse and much uneatable (fish was good, beef and bread? not sure what they were) would have been upset paying $ 20 for it but $ 75 was a total ripoff. I’v been in motel 6 that have better sound proofing then your rooms. I could hear all conversations in the halls and outside, glad i didn’t have a room near the ice machine that I could find by listening to the noie it made

We used this hotel as a room block for our wedding. It was a perfect middle of the road sort of place. Everything was super clean and nice, but not overly expensive. I heard only positive reviews from all of my wedding guests!

tldr Do not believe the pictures they post on their website and on Unilocal for the rooms.
Check In: Luckily we got in before this tour bus full of people showed up to also check in. It was seamless but we ended up having a bit of a walk to get to our room. The upstairs rooms require you to be able to make it up the stairs as there is no elevator. Rooms near the stairs, which ours was, have no protection against the hallway noise so if you happen to have inconsiderate people staying in your building floor, you’re best either requesting a different room or bringing earplugs.
The Room: Considering we booked it on Hotel Tonight for less than $ 100, perhaps I should have set my expectations lower. So disclaimer, I’m a hotel princess and I will judge this harshly. You’ve been warned.
You walk in, and wonder «Wow, this room is pretty spacious, the bed looks inviting and there is plenty of lounging room plus there’s a balcony.»
Then you look closely and realize that the bathroom is not well kept, the amenities all smell like Irish Spring (definitely not gender neutral products), the hair dryer is oily from the last time someone used it, there were stains — not sure of what — on the toilet seat that easy rubbed off which indicated it was recent, the bathtub was peeling, the shower curtains had mold at the bottom, the racks for your products were rusted and crusty with also not sure of what.
I guess the only appeal was that the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner were dispense style so if you have quite a bit of hair like I do it’s a godsend and you don’t have to contact the front desk for more of those 2−3oz. bottles just to shower for one night.
I really didn’t understand the pillows, one of them was feather and the others felt like someone stuck cotton balls in them and called them a pillow. The sheets felt like someone had washed them with hydrochloric acid, and the bed was uneven in terms of soft spots to firm spots.
Another appeal of the room was the lighting, it all seemed like natural lightbulbs so it wasn’t harsh to the eye. I appreciated that as well as the ample number of grounded power outlets. Helpful for the tech obsessed traveler.
We had to have them bring by a refrigerator and a microwave as the room was not equipped with one. Typically I don’t expect this in a hotel that charges around or more than $ 150/​night but I did expect this out of our room. The coffee wasn’t half bad (I think it was a Rainforest coffee of some kind) aside from the machine being dirty.
The Hotel: It’s really pretty outside (fountains, greenery and the like) and the street that it’s on is not busy or hard to navigate. Close to the major freeway traveling east and west, from and to the Bay Area. We almost missed the turn into the roundabout though, as it sneaks up on you and really only has room for one car (it’s a one way roundabout).
Customer Service: Very attentive. This is the one thing that prevented me from pushing this into the one star range. Despite our calls for internet issues, requests for the appliances in the room and even utensils to eat our leftovers from dinner, everyone stayed patient and accommodating.
Check Out: Easy, just leave the keys in the room, no need to go to the front desk.

Although it is an older hotel (1960’s or 70’s), it has been nicely renovated. I was able to get an exceptional weekend deal of just under $ 100/​night all in. Seemed like an excellent price compared to its peers in the area.
The beds were extremely comfortable and I was able to get a great night’s rest. The room was very spacious with 2 queen beds. Ask for a corner room on second floor, they have a crazy big outdoor deck. The pool looked very nice and the river they had surrounding it was very tranquil.
The staff I interacted with were extremely courteous and delightful.
Only complaint I had, was that when we arrived Friday afternoon, a room service tray filled with half eaten food (picture I have included) sat there until we were leaving Sunday morning. I thought that was a little disgusting and not on point for exceptional service.

My review is only from a very quick stay — I checked in at 9:30PM and was out early the next morning. Check in was easy (the woman at the front desk noticed that I seemed tired and we just exchanged cards, keys and I went about my business). They did offer to help me with my luggage and gave me a map to lead me to my room. Room was large and had complimentary water and coffee. One caution for anyone who has trouble with stairs: this is an ‘all stairs’ hotel. Nothing over-​the-​top to mention. I paid 200 $ for one night — given the many hotels in the area, I should have shopped around more. I expect more for a hotel at this price.

This was a great hotel! We booked same day but rates were still really reasonable. Ask for a room with a view — we did and got one with a «garden view» right next to the pool and hot tub. So relaxing! Great place to stay in the area. 5 minutes away from BART.

I have to stay at this hotel for business very frequently. I have never experienced worse service at any hotel. The front desk is clearly not trained and they have no regard for their patrons. I am appalled at the lack of basic courtesy.

Very clean, very modern rooms. Was very impressed especially because I had heard so many horror stories about the hotels in Pleasanton. Bed is comfortable, bathrooms very modern, great tv. Shuttle is quick — much faster to take off and show up than I expected.
Restaurant is good — I had great service and the food was good.

Didn’t stay in this hotel, but was here for 5 days of training in one of their conference rooms.
The conference area was really nice, and the catered lunch was also very good each day. They varied the menu and location each day to give us variety and a change of scenery.
I would stay away from their bar. They make the most horrible old fashioned (never had a finger pour of bitters in an old fashioned before) I have ever had, and several other complained that the drinks were not made well.

We only stayed here for one night for our San Fran tour, but we enjoyed it! There was a pleasant cleanliness in both the air and the carpet and the king size bed was soooo plush — it provided an /​awesome/​sleep which prepped us for waking up early the next morning (the wake-​up call was also loud enough to get us up haha). The soap, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers within the shower were cool and the bathroom was very well-​kept.
This was a much, much better stay than the 2^nd location, the Clarion Inn. That Inn, in comparison, was horrifically dilapidated. While there, we continually wished we could return to here!

Needed an offsite location to conduct a business meeting, decided to try the lobby of Four Points in Pleasanton.

For me, my meeting went really well and it was a perfect spot.

Great stay and an overall awesome experience. I loved the food, drinks, outdoor patio, and most importantly, the room. I will be recommending the Four Points to my friends and colleagues who visit.

I couldn’t give the Four Points by Sheraton in Pleasanton any greater of review. It feels like home immediately after walking in the door. And I must say, it was quite a pleasure being greeted by Avi. The beers were fabulous and the Wednesday accommodations sure make the long work week manageable. I highly recommend staying here and taking advantage of all that this beautiful hotel has to offer.

I’ve been at this hotel for 2 weeks due to work. The accommodations are nice, with a free beer and appetizer Wednesday. My good buddy Avi facilitates the Wednesday fun. He’s engaging and very positive. I’d recommend!

I’ve stayed here twice now and thoroughly enjoyed both times.
The room had just been updated, it was well done and clean. The deck is wonderful for morning coffee while watching the fountains.
The pool and grounds are beautiful. There is plenty of shade and sun, chairs and towels. All of the rooms are easily accessible from the pool area. We learned this trip that you can also get poolside service from the restaurant that’s attached to the hotel.
They also had a shuttle to take us to the Alemeda County Fair.
We ate breakfast at the restaurant this time too, and it was delicious. We will absolutely be back.

I have stayed here a bunch of times and really like the conveniences of the location, but what I really don’t like is how they constantly jack up the prices… if we where in SF maybe, but we are in Pleasanton, Ca ! To start charging $ 250 a night is pretty crazy and the reasoning is there are not a ton of nicer options… also this place really hasn’t been updated either in a very long time. The rooms are usually pretty clean but modern convenience like USB plugs and even a plug by your bed are just not included? The other draw back is the restaurant on property… very expensive, very slow and really not that great. I usually like to stay at the Double Tree around the corner because we get a corporate rate, but I fall back on this place when they are sold out… again not bad but for $ 250 a night you would expect a little more.

I swiped myself into my room only to discover it’s already occupied… yes you read that right– I was checked into a room that already had someone else in it. I tripled checked to make sure I was indeed standing in a room that I was given a key to, with someone else’s stuff all over the place. Luckily (and unluckily, depending on how you see it), the person wasn’t there. I think it would’ve been a more traumatic experience for that customer. The lady at the front desk was incredibly apologetic about what happened, and kept on insisting that shouldn’t have happened. Well, it did. This is just simply unacceptable for a hotel to give out keys to other people’s rooms. I was paranoid during my stay because of this, thinking that some stranger may walk into my room when I’m not around. Luckily, I was only there for two nights.
The room themselves are fairly old. They are clean but could use an upgrade. The furnitures are worn out. The buildings smelled a little stale. The location is convenient for nearby businesses. The staff is very friendly. If it wasn’t because of the friendly staff, I would’ve given this a one-​star rating based on giving out room keys inappropriately.

After traveling for a few days and staying at different properties, we were disappointed at the not so welcoming front desk staff.
We arrived on a Wednesday right during Craft beer and wing day hour. I saw the wings and didn’t look very appetizing but a colleague tried the beer and she said it was good, hey its free!
To find my room, I had to exit the lobby, walk outdoor, pass the fountains and carry my luggage one flight up. NO ELEVATORS.
The room and furniture is not modern which is fine but at least the carpet looked in good shape. The bathroom though, was pretty disappointing: slightly cracked tiles, my floor towel had stains, bathtub had stains. They weren’t dirty, but rather looked like not removable stains.
They do have free bottles of water and toiletries such as q tips, nail file and mouthwash which is a plus.
The restaurant is actually quite nice and modern. The breakfast buffet had cheese and egg quesadillas which was different.
Overall, not a bad property but they do need to update/​clean a little better and train the staff to be a lil more warm and fuzzy!
