We recently worked with Annette to host a 50 person Holiday party in our home. She was constantly in communication in the days leading up to the party. The amazing part, is that when I called her 5 days prior to the party to see about rescheduling, she was able to make that work! (Our party was booked on the night we were supposed to have the «storm of the decade») The food was absolutely fantastic — we did a heavy appetizer spread — and we received many compliments on it. Best of all, they left the kitchen cleaner than when they arrived. I would recommend Annette to anyone! Can’t wait to work with her again.

We met Annette while dressed up as «dueling Cher’s» at a friend’s Halloween party in 2013 (see prior review from Kelley D.). The food was delicious and Kelley raved about Annette. My husband and I were married October 4^th of this year and when it came time to book a caterer, Kelley told us we had to call Annette. So we did. She remembered us from the Halloween party and it took off from there. She was amazing to work with throughout the entire process. We wanted the reception for 140 to be a fun party atmosphere. We’re not sit-​down-​dinner guys, so we decided on a burger bar, taco bar, pasta bar and a bar bar. That and three different kinds of cakes (I’m a little indecisive). Her prices were absolutely reasonable with no hidden fees. The price she quoted per person is the price you paid. Annette made everything amazing and our guests loved it. My husband and I are no spring chickens and had no experience in planning a wedding. Annette was incredibly helpful in providing guidance and making suggestions. She instilled a sense of trust that it was all going to come together. And it did. Everything was finalized the week before and there was literally nothing I had to think about the days prior to the event regarding the food/​beverages. The day of… not a worry in the world. Annette and her delightful staff made it all happen like magic. Annette and crew worked and owned the event. Our guests really appreciated their friendliness… especially at the bar! It was truly the best day of our lives and it was in part due to Annette. I couldn’t recommend anyone better and we’ll always be «her Cher’s.»

In October of 2013, my husband and I hosted our first Halloween party. The amount of planning was unlike any other party my husband and I had ever given, and we are seasoned hosts. Not only did we have to decorate the inside AND the outside of the house, but there were costumes and invitations and so many other details. I knew we could not handle doing the food ourselves for approximately sixty guests. But never having used a caterer before, I was anxious. So, I came to Unilocal to find one. And boy, did I find one! Annette! I visited her website, then sent an email asking for a phone call. She responded promptly asking me when was it convenient for her to call me. I told her the next day between 11a-​1p. She called at 10:59! I liked how it was starting. We discussed my plans for the party, and I was worried that a caterer would be hesitant to use a couple of my recipes, but Annette was more than happy to accommodate me! I also asked her about creating some themed foods. «Would you be able to make sandwiches shaped like coffins?» «Of course!», she said. «How about some mozzarella cheese balls that look like eyeballs??» «Absolutely!», she replied. Wow! It seemed she was having as much fun planning my party as I was!
After months of planning, the evening arrived, and she was at my home exactly when she said she would be. She didn’t trouble me asking where anything was (such as extra bowls or utensils, etc.) as she saw how busy I was running around lighting candles and making punch and getting into costume! I barely even noticed she was there at the party. What I did notice was that every time I grabbed a warm appetizer, it was still warm. Every time I grabbed a cold one, it was cold. My husband even commented that Annette was like a referee on a football field. Right there in the middle of the action, but hardly noticeable and somehow staying out of the way! With trays of food, no less! I would recommend Annette as anyone’s caterer with absolutely no hesitation. Her food was delicious, she was always prompt in her responses, her service was impeccable, and her prices reasonable. It was our most successful party ever, and it was only possible with Annette’s help.

My company utilizes the services of Hosted by Annette Catering regularly– they are our primary caterer for the greater Bay Area, and for very good reason. The food, customer service, and impression left by Hosted by Annette is impeccable. We trust no one else to meet our standards, as we cater events for our highest priority clients and must leave a lasting impression for our company.
From the beginning of working with Hosted by Annette on any given event, the event planning staff is thoroughly knowledgeable and eager to assist you in any way possible. We work directly with Annette– of whom I cannot possibly speak highly enough. Annette is exceptionally helpful with all requests, follows through with all communications nearly instantaneously, and will do anything in her power to make your event work the way you want it to. She knows myself and my company, our preferences and needs, and makes getting all of our catering events planned simple and efficient.
Annette’s food is phenomenal. She is a master of her craft and is flexible to adjust any menu to the way you need it. The chefs take pride in what they serve, and this is obvious from the beautiful displays of food. No matter what you order, know it will be delicious and they will not serve less than their best on any event, no matter how busy they may be. We receive many many compliments each and every time we serve food from Hosted by Annette Catering– there are always guests asking for business cards.
And finally, the staff sent to each event cannot be overlooked. They are all perfectly professional, timely, and aware of the needs of the guests to any event. We never need to worry if we are running late to an event, as the Hosted by Annette staff is always setting up on time and making the display beautiful without any direction needed. Guests love the serving staff– they are very friendly and knowledgeable of the food they are serving.

I found Annette through the phone book. I needed catering for a new year’s eve surprise birthday party. Amazingly she was one of the few caterers available to do catering on NYE. However I thought her menu on her website looked really good. I spoke with Annette via phone and email and we formulated a menu for appetizers for 35 guests. She was very easy to work with and always prompt in her communication.
On the evening of the party they arrived promptly for a drop-​off and her and her assistant came in and setup all of the food for me. The food was a big hit. We had the meatballs, prosciutto wrapped asparagus, blue cheese puffs, shrimp in dill sauce, and thai chicken peanut satay. I received compliments on the food all night and would definitely use Annette again.

Annette catered a brunch for an engagement party that we hosted in our home (about 50 guests). Everyone raved about her lemon/​shrimp quiche. In fact, it was gone before I had a chance to try it. The mozzarella, olive, bell pepper and pesto strata was also a hit. Many of our guests went back for seconds (which is always a good sign that the food is good) and several guests made a point of mentioning the excellent food and service they received. Annette’s prices are very reasonable. She was punctual, organized, neat, and left my kitchen neat and clean.
This was my first time using Hosted by Annette, and it will not be the last time.
