At Jon Ric we use innovative spa and salon techniques, excellence in service, and education to uplift and nurture our customers, creating a destination for people to have time for themselves and to feel renewed, delighted, and refreshed. We provide beauty and wellness services such as waxing and threading; facials; teeth whitening; makeup; manicures and pedicures; hair cutting and styling; and much more.

History

Established in 2009.

After spending 14 years in the banking industry, I was looking for something different, a job that I could be passionate about, one that I would be excited to get up and go to everyday. After many months of research, I found the Jon Ric Spa and Salon franchise.

As a busy mom, the Jon Ric «Express» model was very, very appealing. I love the aspect of 1 stop shopping for spa /​salon services, that there is no appointment needed and I have access to licensed beauty professionals during mall hours.

We have several principles that we live by in our business including supporting other local businesses, choosing organic, vegan or eco friendly products and ALWAYS finding products that you can’t easily find at the mall, like Bumble and Bumble for hair.

I am so passionate about our spa and can’t wait to spread the word throughout the community. We are opening a 2nd store at Valley Fair in Santa Clara next week & look forward to providing superior service to customers!

I had an appointment to get my hair cut and highlights touched up today. I’ve been to Jon Ric a few times before and always gotten excellent service. I live in the South Bay, but I liked Nicole and I wanted to keep going to her.
This morning I realized I had never gotten a confirmation phone call about my appointment that I had made several weeks ago. I didn’t want to make a 45 minute drive without being absolutely sure that I had an appointment, so I called the salon. The phone rang and rang, with no answer or recording. All the websites I found had no further information.
Finally, I called Stoneridge Mall directly. Apparently the salon left last weekend and left no forwarding address. The crazy thing is that nobody bothered to call me and tell me not to come to my appointment! I am certain that they still had their calendar, even if they had to close their business. I am thankful that the mall phone number put me in touch with an actual person so quickly! From now on, I’ll find salons closer to home!

KAREN ROCKS! Karen fixed a horrible shellac manicure I had and made my nails look great and made me feel better. Yes, she is more expensive than some but you get what you pay for. She doesn’t let her cell phone interrupt appointments and she does great work so you get a one on one experience. Her hands are beautiful so it is a great advertisement for her work.

Went to Stoneridge for some Christmas shopping and was in dire need of a haircut. Since i was low on cash and time I decided to get my hair trimmed here. Sadi welcomed me at the front desk, informed me of their services and prices, and I was seated promptly.
Sadi took her time (even though the overall process was fairly quick for a 2.5 inch trim/​bangs) and made sure the cuts were okay with me before making them. She was awesome and I was very pleased with the outcome! My hair feels healthier than ever, and I have received many compliments on my new cut! I will definitely be back.

My husband and I went to Jon Ric last week and had manicures and pedicures and loved it! It was the first professional pedicure my husband had ever had and boy did his feet ever appreciate the special pampering they got. Wonderful staff, attentive and knowledgeable, and fantastic products. We will be back!

I recently went and got my haircut here by Tania, she was really nice and listened very well to what i wanted and my hair turned out fabulous! They have great service and a friendly atmosphere i would recommend to everyone!!!

My 95 year old Mother-​in-​Law got a manicure and did schlack nails and absolutely loved it. The schlack nails will last her at least 2 weeks. My Mother-​in-​Law was the envy of all at her assisted living residence. She can’t wait to go back.

I used my Mani/​Pedi Groupon at the Pleasanton location since the one in SJ had closed. The two nail ladies were very nice, but I have to say I’ve never seen the nail polish on my toes come off and so fast. Usually it’s time for my next pedi and the polish is still there, not this time, it flaked off within a week. I was really shocked actually.
She told me even my nail polish on my hands would stay longer than normal because of their products, but that polish cracked off within 24 hours, faster, not longer. I was pretty disappointed. Another pedi needed in less than two weeks, not so good. Again shocking because my toe polish never cracks off, not sure what they are using, but it’s not working. Sorry, really can’t recommend.

I got married at Elliston Vineyards on June 5th. Me and my whole wedding party stayed at the Sheraton across the street and we were fortunate to have a mall next door. My family friend who lives in Pleasanton recommended the Jon Ric salon and I am SO happy she did. This salon is the BEST. All the staff are so talented and professional. Me and my whole wedding party got our hair and makeup done here the day of my wedding. The owner Marcey, had Mimosas and pastries for us to enjoy and gave us the star treatment.
I am from Tampa, FL so this was a destination wedding for us. Coming off the plane I immediately went in for a free consultation with Sadi. I didn’t know what to expect and was totally jet lagged but after meeting the her and the staff, I was SO excited and looking forward to getting everything done there!
The next day I went to get my eyebrows done and my nails done for my bachleorette party. All of us girls LOVED our natural manicures. Unfortunately three days before we left for CA, I slammed my finger in my car door! I was so sad thinking I was going to have a black nail for my wedding pictures. Luckily, the women at the salon knew what to do and covered it right up and it looked perfect!
The day of my wedding, everything went smoothly. We were done very fast and we were all VERY happy with our hair and makeup. Everyone was so excited! I came in nervous and all the ladies there were so comforting and help talk my nervousness away. Thank you for that!
The Jon Ric salon is FABULOUS! Please go there for any of your beauty needs. I am so bummed that there isn’t one here in Tampa… I would go there all the time! Thank you so much Jon Ric salon and staff… you ladies ROCK!!! Thank you for making my wedding weekend amazing!!!

The experience I had at Jon Ric Salon was great! Marcy is a great woman and really cares about her business and customers. I had a manicure/​pedicure done and I would definitely go back. I would recommend anyone going for a mani/​pedi to make sure you make an appointment with one of their nail technicians and make sure one of their cosmetologists does NOT do the paint job. Kim, the nail tech I saw did a great job and was really friendly.
First time using organic products and I loved it!

I went to this salon for the first time and had my hair colored and cut by Sadi Poitras. She was very professional, took her time and did a great job. The shop is very small, but clean and quiet. Prices are fair. Everyone seemed very friendly and I will return. Sadi has a great eye for what she does.

Jon Ric not only has a great facility that I bought a gift certificate for my wife to enjoy at the salon, they are honoring a portion of the now defunct Pleasanton Spa gift certificates.
The location is great and very tastefully decorated… the employees are so helpful and listen to all your needs. I can’t recommend them enough!

I love the experience I get when I go to Jon Ric Express. I’ve had my nails done, a body wrap, and facial. Since I had never experienced buying «green» products before, I thought I’d give it a try and purchased the mascara & cuticle treatment. I like it so much better than the others I have used over the years. The mascara had no smearing, removes easily (when I want to remove it) and no burning or aggravation to my eyes. My nail cuticles have always been dry with hang nails… but not since using their cuticle oil.
As the name implies, it’s an «Express Salon» so for us that are busy, we can get in/​out pretty quickly. I’ve met Marcey the owner and she truly cares about her customers. I highly recommend getting your next treatment there! It’s so much better than so many other places that have harmful chemicals in it’s ingredients and we’re going green at the same time!

I followed my stylist, Kelly Cortez, to this salon — NO BODY ELSE touches my hair! This salon is intimate and cozy and I like being able to watch people going by on the Mall. I also like that they are right near an exit for quick in/​out. Kelly is the best and most effecient stylist I’ve had. I really recommend her highly!

I stopped by here to just take a peek at the new business and was a little taken aback at the small size. Then I was greeted by Brandi (the manager) and she made all the difference!
I had my eyebrows waxed by a tall girl named Alisha and she was super nice and did a great job! Much better than those threading kiosks!!!
I then had my teeth whitened PROFESSIONALLY! It was the same results as the dentist but at half the cost and much more convenient!
The space may be limited, but the service and the people make up for it. I’ll definitely be back!

I would NOT Recommend this salon to ANYONE! I went there over the Holiday’s to get my hair low lighted and first off. I was shocked to see how small the «salon» is… and second the girls were very unprofessional. So, I get my hair done and not even a week later the color is completley faded!!! WASTE OF MONEY!
Then… I was going to buy some bumble and bumble product as I always do when getting my hair done and it was way more then I usually pay at my other salon back home in Los Angeles.
All and all… terrible salon and I have told a bunch of people to not go there due to their inexperience and unprofessionalism. You want a great salon to go to in the area… try Salon X in San Ramon. or Victoria’s Hair on Stage. They know what they are doing!!!

I’m so thrilled that Jon Rics opened in Stoneridge! They are a one-​stop beauty enhancement oasis. Right in the mall, yet also right by the parking lot, so you can swing by on the way in or out.
I had my brows threaded, and Emmie is a MASTER! I thought threading would be – well, a torture session. Let me tell you, it’s so not. I also had a mani with Rita, and she’s so sweet and gentle. Everyone at Jon Rics is friendly, knowledgeable and down-​to-​earth chic.
They carry a number of exclusive lines like Bumble and Bumble… and organic and vegan products. Oh, and my favorite jewelry: Twisted Silver!
I highly recommend popping in. What could be better for a little bit of «me» time right there at the mall?
