Attorney Barry D. Witt is an east bay native. As an undergraduate, he attended the University of California, Santa Barbara and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy with an emphasis on Ethics and Public Policy. He received his law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law and is licensed to practice law in California.

While in law school he clerked for a family law Judge at the Gale-​Schenone Hall of Justice in Pleasanton, CA. He worked as a Volunteer Research Attorney for the San Mateo County Superior court and for the same court he worked for the Family Law Facilitator’s office. He is a member of the Alameda and San Mateo County Bar Associations.

He was always available when I needed to speak with him, made things extremely easy to understand and always accommodated me and my schedule if there was anything I needed to sign or get to him. I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome regarding my custody and divorce case and it was all because of Barry’s hard work and dedication. Barry D. Witt was a very honest lawyer. He is very hard working and helped me with my case regarding a custody situation. He was very helpful and quick in his responses. He did not overcharge me and even gave me a refund of the money he did not use. I feel like Barry really cares about his cases and is very accurate. I would greatly recommend him for anyone that is going through any custody battles. He was very sensitive to any issues that I had going on and he will work with you to find the best situation for all involved. I feel that he is extremely ethical in his business affairs because he was even concerned about my ex– husband having a lawyer look over his part of the papers in order to have everything be fair and just.
