service was a bit slow, even at 10 pm, but the workers were all super polite and nice! the food is also great, and the lemon meringue pie is AMAZING. will definitely drop by again!

Love this place. Great 1⁄3 lb. hamburger with all the fixings for under $ 6.00. Fries are freshly made with each order. Friendly service. What I like about the burgers is that this is the way Hamburgers and fries were before the Golden Arches. Perfectly made to order grilled meat, on a nice bun with tomatoes, Mayo, and a heaping pile of lettuce. When you bite into it there’s the crisp crunch if the lettuce, savory meat and tomato and a nice bodied bun. They serve a mean breakfast as well. Top it off, a great selection of pies, whole or by the slice. Their custard our is off the hook! As are their chocolate and banana cream pie

First Timer and I was impressed! On our way to Tahoe we stopped and we came in with a big crew. We immediately knew our order was going to take forever to receive. Chili Cheese Dog– sooo big you will need a fork to eat! Loaded with chili and cheese that we still had left overs to dip our fries in . Bacon Burger-Juicy with the right amount of flavor Grilled cheese-to die for! One of my favorites we order one to go! They need to open a Nations here in San Jose CA please and thank you!

Let me just start off with the greeting as soon as I walked in 1÷15÷16 @ 10PM An employee was walking to the door and says hey were closed fat boy! IT was very embarrassing as them employees laughed and the store went quit. Is this how you run a business? how insulting. I don’t advise anyone eat here. Where I work we say welcome to the store how are you doing! Please do not eat here if you are slightly over weight I am about 200LBS. Poor guy must need a job but defiantly does not belong in a place where you work with people. Sorry Nations that was the last cream pie I purchase and will be telling friends in this area about the experience. Try interviewing next time instead of hiring off the bat.

Bay Area staple… While in Pleasanton, Ca. It was recommended I try the burgers here. Apparently by someone who knows nothing about me… The«diner» on Hopyard st. is small and not really clean… Cheeseburger were over salted and served with thousand island salad dressing … Chili fries tasted as if it was a can of Dennison’s chili with beans. They could use some of that salt they over salt their parties with and the Java shake was flavorless and the first time in 34 years that I have ever thrown away a milkshake… The whole experience was a waste of time and money… Should have just gone to the In and Out behind my hotel… Meh… No need to return… Especially since there’s an In and Out close by

The diner is small, however, the food quality is high. The staff is extremely personable and provide almost a small town diner feel. I come in often and order the Omellete a la carte with cheese. Whenever I call in to order, the staff already knows me by my name and my order, which goes a long way. I frequently visit the bar in the same complex. Prior to grabbing a drink at the bar, I always order some food at nations. The customer service is so top — notch, that they will DROPOFF the food at the bar so I can go ahead an enjoy my drink and have a hot meal at the same time. They go above and beyond, and I love them for this.

These guys were more than prepared for customers like us, who waited till the last minute to figure out our Thanksgiving dessert. They had a ton of pies ready and had a really good system for paying for and picking up our pies. The staff were really friendly and much in the holiday spirit. Plus the burgers they were making smelled delicious. I really want to try their food too, but the store has limited seating, so it might be good to come at off peak hours.

I’m a Nation’s connoisseur and this Nation’s is terrible. The only good thing about it is it’s a Nation’s Giant Burger. The place is small. Like supply closet small. It has no public restroom, yet you can sit and dine… I thought that was state law??? The tables had pancake syrup all over them so waiting the entire 25 minutes for the one cheese burger and single slice of pie to go was a sticky, upsetting, boring, no music in the dinning room horrible experience.

Going in to grab a quick lunch and service was not bad. It was very busy during the lunch hour and not many tables were clean. We did find a table and wiped it off ourselves. The food was good but there were flys flying around and a small flea like looking bug crawling on the table. Needless to say we will not be visiting this Nations again.

This gotta be the Smallest Nations I ever been in. Lol. Restaurant size is quite laughable. The lady who took my order is such a sweet heart it’s breath taking. Her name starts with«T» I believe. She is the life of this little restaurant. She makes me feel like I’m in the middle nowhere and I am trying to find my way back home and she is the only that can help me find my way. Anyways as this place fills up and it fills up fast, the pace may slow down. At the time there was 3 employees which isn’t a bad pace. Not much to say about Nations taste, you either like it or you don’t. «Hold the Mayo Please».

I’ve inly been to Nation’s once other than today when I dined in. I would have to say the burgers are a good size and won’t leave with a frown on your face. I finally was able to order their cheese cake and I will say if I had a whole oneI’d have eaten it all. The ladies behind the counter were awesome and gave a perfect estimate in when to pick my food up. Keep up the good work ladies!

Have you had their strawberry pies yet? How about the banana cream pies? Apple pie? Peach pie? Chocolate cream pie? NO?! Well, you better go get you some then because each one is d.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s. Delicious! Whenever I meet my bff for dinner, we always seem to end up here for desserts. Heated apple pie with vanilla ice cream. It’s a perfect decadence to end the evening out with friends. Staff is always friendly. Décor is vintage blah. The location feels a bit off it’s feng shui. But the pies are always nice to eat. Yea, baby.

I really appreciate good service and good food to match. I ordered the Jr. Breakfast and a banana crème pie. Knocking off a star because I felt this place could have been cleaner.

I’ve always wanted to give this hamburger joint a try. It looks like a Bay Area staple because I have seen a few along my trips from the Central California Valley. We went in and ordered to-go to take back ton9ur hotel room across the street. We ordered a bacon cheese burger, fries, BLT sandwiches x 2, and after seeing the pies, we couldn’t leave without ordering a half lemon meringue pie. I sat on the counter in awe of the short order cook ad she deciphered every order and placed fresh ingredients on the grill for every order. She was making lunch at the same time she was making breakfast. huh? Yep they serve a simple breakfast here too, but that is for another time. My burger was perfectly made, with large thick pieces of bacon to give it that perfect flavor, the lettuce was hand plucked off the head that was sitting there, and tomatoes were fresh. The fries were crispy and tasty, I should have ordered more because they only come in one size. kinda like a sm/med. We asked what kind of sauce comes on the BLTS, we were told dressing. «Mayonnaise?», I asked. Kinda like mayonnaise, the lady expressed. Well whatever it was, my wife and daughter said it was a little on the sweet side. If they were to order it again, it would be with straight mayo! Now for the best pie review! My wife loved the lemon meringue pie. Nice and tart with a crispy crust. Better than Marie… you know the rest.lol. We will be back to this place no doubt. Delicious!

Banana cream pie; tastes just as good as Marie Callender’s banana cream pie, but the cream filling at Nation’s was thinner and the whipped cream topping was thicker which made the pie appeared larger than it actually is. I would still choose Marie Callender’s pie over Nations.

The food: cheeseburger and chilli chese fries The burger was pretty average. But decent sized. My side of chill cheese fries was probably the best thing I ordered. Overall pretty average will probably drop by if im near again and try the pies.

This review is strictly for their pies. Haven’t eaten at a nation’s before and I have never tried their pies but he said that their pies were good so we stopped here for dessert. It must have been our lucky day because the pies were half off. I ordered the chocolate cream pie and the banana cream pie and the total was a little under twelve bucks, such a STEAL! The chocolate cream pie was good, kind of nostalgic because it tasted like the chocolate pudding that mom would pack as a snack for school. The banana cream pie was just as good, the pieces of real banana was a pleasant surprise, made it taste fresh and made me feel like it was sort of healthy. I also liked that they topped the banana pie with almonds, wish they put more because it gave it that added crunch it desperately needed. But having the two pies together was REALLY really good, they should have a pie that has a little bit of chocolate with bananas… BOOM! Maybe I should give their food a whirl.
