My family will miss this place. Middle of the road. Better than NY and more affordable than Gay Nineties for our average pizza night out. Bummer…

Great food and service. I came here for the lunch and even as the official time for the buffet had ended the manager let me order the buffet and made sure that the food was still fresh.

This has got to be the most awesome Round Table ever! My family travels often to the South Bay and we always try to stop by on our way back as a treat. Not only do they have a wonderful kids area for our two and half year old, they have plenty of TVs and We love the design of the rooms(apparently was an old bank) They even have a vault door in the main dinning room. Plus ample parking at all times. But lets get to the reason for this 5 star review: Cheri the Manager and Kacey the night shift Manager make everyone feel like family, even when the store is jammed packed — We truly enjoy visiting and when we do we feel like its Cheers the way everyone remembers you and treats you! Last time we stopped in Cheri was in school(a full time student, runs two stores and has 4 kids — don’t know how she does it!) So we were waited on by Erin, who was very funny and continued the family experience! So if you want an awesome stop-off either going to or fro the South Bay, stop in and see the gang at Round Table on Main st. Pleasanton!

Horrid customer service. Tried to purchase a gift card today for my parents. The boy who helped me didn’t know where the gift cards were and couldn’t find anyone to help him. Okay, I’m not a bad person, said I’d go run a close by errand and come back. Take 2: came back, waied in line, same boy asked an older woman about the gift cards when he saw me waiting. This gal shrugged, said she didn’t know and they both just stared at me. Then the boy asked the woman if he should call«sherry»(not sure of the name). Then it was«I’m not gonna call her, you call her». So I just left and said on my way out that I would try Livermore. Older woman said, «fine». Great. Turns out according to the pleasant and helpful woman at the Livermore location, they have discontinued gift cards because each location is owned independently. Wish I would have found that out at Pleasanton and saved myself an hour.

Ordered delivered pizzas a few times from this place because we always loved the RT near our old house. They screwed up the order the first two times and the last time they got the order right, but the pizzas had maybe 10 — 20 percent of the ingredients they should have had. Not going to waste more money on this place.

I had a 2 for 1 lunch combo coupon and when I went to redeem it the clerk Joseph was very rude and would not redeem the correct amount. I asked him to call the manager and after a lengthy conversation, finally finished transaction. He had a terrible attitude and very poor customer service. The pizza was good when we finally got it but until the management can train their people to process coupons correctly and have better customer service I probably won’t go back.

I like Round Table Pizza, but this place needs help. Nice location, although I usually have delivery to the house. 10 years ago it was the Beer that was always bad because they didnt clean the lines out often enough. Last couple years my orders are always wrong when they get to the house… which they have taken care of me when I called them on it. Thats a plus. I’ll keep trying because there close.

Great pizza, courteous staff, really can’t beat that lunch special for the price. I have no complaints other than sometimes the pizza is a little dry, but all the other times it’s fantastic.

Almost all these reviews are years old. This place is good now. They’ve never screwed up my order. Lunch buffet is awesome. Pizza is delicious. Very kid friendly.

Restaurant empty. Stoned employees, I placed an order for take out, was told 25 min. Arrived 30 min. A clearly high guy came out, checked on my order, I heard them saying they hadnt started. I cancelled my order and will never be back

This is by far the slowest round table pizza I have ever been to. my boyfriend and I came here to watch a football game. when we arrive there were 4 people in line in front of us and all 3 workers were on the phone doing phone orders there was not 1 person there trying to help any of us that were standing in line. we were well into the second quarter before it even arrived. while we were there some guys trying to order beer had to ask for the pitcher just to be left half full because the girl pouring beer had managed to create so much foam in the first one that they didnt even want to bother waiting for the second. I was also disspointed that there was nothing fresh in the salad bar. It looked like it had been almost cleaned out and the mostly empty dishes were just left there. It wasn’t even refilled by the time we left a few hours later. The only saving grace to this location was the tvs(when we got there they were all on spanish television and we had to ask to change them to the game), but since the food and service sucked so much even those arn’t going to bring us back. It is dissapointing that this is one of the few places open later in dt pleasanton.: /

My experience with this location is their lunch buffet so that is what I’ll be reviewing here. Most pizza places want a slice of the lunch crowd’s business so we have seen a lot of competition in the lunch buffet business. Supply and demand is a fine line to walk for these businesses so it is interesting to see their strategies. I think Round Table’s downtown location does the best job getting this equation right. They put in their buffet equipment relatively recently and it shows. There is always plenty of food out and several varieties of pizza to choose from. Plenty of TVs overhead are a nice touch. Oh yeah, and their pizza is consistently good. There is something to be said about a crust not pulled out of deep freeze. If you haven’t gotten your fill, employees come around with boxes at the end of the buffet time(usually around 1:45) and you are welcome to take home leftovers. My only gripe with the Round Table buffet is the price. At almost $ 12 for the buffet and a soda, it is pricey for lunch. Take advantage of their lunch card where you can at least earn a free meal after the 5th visit. Compared to the other pizza buffets in the Tri Valley, this is the best. Only 4 stars because the food is not on par with places like Gay Nineties or Melos although the price is about the same.

I’m surprised to read the reviews on poor service. I’ve gone here several times ordering while there, over the phone and online. I’ve never had a problem with the service. Actually, I came online to write a review because the service has always been great. I moved here in Aug. 2011, so maybe they have re-staffed since the negative reviews. The pizza has always been tasty, which is exactly what I expect from Round Table. The salad bar is normally good. It’s a little pricey, but Round Table always is.

We had a great experience at Round Table tonight. We were there for a end of season baseball party. We ordered a pizza and was given a number to put on our table. Another table had a similar number and I thought they were behind us in line but got their pizza ahead of us. I went to the cashier to make sure they hadn’t forgotten us and she reassured us. We got our pizza minutes later and enjoyed it! To our surprise, though, the cashier showed up with another pizza saying she was worried our pizza was lost and she wanted to make sure we got it. She put it in a box and let us take it home — for free. What great customer service!

I have been to this Round Table SO many times and never once has it been a good experience. Thankfully we have moved and the one near us now is much better. Deliveries come late or wrong, they forget to make our pizza and we have to wait forever… and ever; they ignore you when you are standing waiting to order, are rude and simply it is just an unorganized disaster at this place. It simply is too expensive to throw my money down the drain to this craphole anymore.

Six weeks ago I would’ve given this place three stars, but due to their quality of work and timeliness they’ve dropped to one. The only reason I kept coming back is the fact that they’re close to my house, but after today’s fiasco I’m heading over to the Hopyard Round Table Pizza. Called in my order over the phone and after I get home from picking up the pizza I realize that my order has been messed up. I called back and explained to Cassie, the supervisor, what happened. She was quite unapologetic and offered me a discount on my next order. I explained that this is not the first time that this happened and that I just wanted my order to be right. She said the new order would be ready in 15 minutes. I showed up in 20 minutes, handed her my old order and expected her to give me the new one. However, it wasn’t ready, they didn’t even start making it. She said they were having a busy night. I looked around and saw one table in the entire restaurant occupied and one pick-up customer, who’s order also was wrong. 15 minutes later when I received the correct order there was no apology, no credit or discount offered, nothing period… the final straw. Sorry Main St. Round Table, I’m done. Hopyard Round Table, you got a new customer.

I love this Round Table! I am a big fan of almost any Round Table but for some reason this one is just a little bit better. There is ample dining space and it is never crowded. There is no music which is great — because you can actually talk. Pitchers of Sam Adams are a great deal for the guys out there who hate bars but want to meet up with your buddies. They let you take your time here — even though it is just pizza. I have had some of the best conversations over a Large King Arthur.mmmm. The place is a little tired looking and not the cleanest — but one bite of their pizza and those things just melt away. Enjoy!

It’s been a LONGTIME, but I have a feeling little has changed. Don’t go to this Round Table; go to the one on Hopyard. The Main St. Round Table doesn’t cook their pizzas long enough. I used to work at the one on Hopyard, and I would get pissed because folks on the other side of town would order from us for delivery because the Main St. one sucked so bad. I literally drove across town to deliver to houses that were 3 blocks from Main St. That speaks volumes.

The Sharks scored 4 goals so we came here for our free personal sized pizza… plus 2 salads from the bar. Our pizzas were OK. The salad was only as good as you make it. But for what it’s worth, their salad bar is lacking. But generally speaking, I enjoy Round Table Pizzas…

My husband prefers Round table to other pizza franchises. And I will put up with it on occasion if that’s what he wants. There were times in the past where they screwed up a topping or 2 on our order and we forgave them. Not only because the staff is a bunch of teenagers being paid minimum wage but they were genuinely apologetic about it. But the last time we got a pizza here they said the were out of Italian sausage, so my husband asked if they had any other kind of sausage and they said yes, so he plunked down $ 23 with a coupon and waited. The pizza he got had no sausage and no marinara sauce, and had cooked tomatoes not the cold tomatoes he had requested. They did not apologize. Other people were lining up to yell at the staff since they had neglected to tell several other patrons about being out of marinara sauce and all sausage toppings and they had managed to mess up so many pizza orders. The pizza was terrible. Tasted like it had sweet and sour sauce on it or something. Like they were scrapping the very last of the toppings out of the bottom of an old can. We ended up tossing it, it was that bad. We will never buy a pizza here again; I don’t care if it is only 5 minutes away from where we live. I don’t care how many coupons they send me. They should be honest with their customers upfront and if they can’t deliver a good pizza don’t sell any at all.
