Saferway Moving & Storage

I agree with all the negative comments about this company. I moved from CA to VA. The ²⁴⁄₇ movers packaged most of items. What people should know, never get a moving company that shares a «rented» truck to pick up other people shipments. Most of your belonging will be lost! When the movers arrived, the main supervisor who directs his employees is such a dick! He was rude from the start and disrespectful. He actually yelled at his employees for being nice enough to carry some things into our house. Anyways, most of my items was damaged and missing and priceless photos I will never see again. Saferway Moving & Storage settlement claim letter was basically, tough shit, they are not replacing our damage items and said the movers initialed it on paper was «packed by owner». What a crock of shit! The movers packaged the items that was damaged. Fuck you ²⁴⁄₇ movers and Saferway Moving & Storage.

DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER USING THIS COMPANY!
My dear friends currently are having their delivery delayed while the company tries to extort an additional $ 1,000 to complete the delivery. Moving to a new state and not having a local bank yet; they are being put through hell. What choice do they have? The company has all their possessions on the truck and the truck is over 2 hours away calling and demanding more money than was contracted for. To make matters worse; they are insisting on CASH; the check deposit for ½ the delivery fee was said to be «TORN UP»!
Does this sound like the following quote from their website?
«We have achieved our reputation through reliability, dependability, careful handling, courtesy, promptness, with competitive rates, and with experienced, honest, hardworking, moving professionals who are very adept and have remarkable moving techniques.»

if there was a negative rating I would give it to them. lets start here, horrible customer service, no consistent answers, do not follow policies.
My story, hired this moving company to move my belongings from ca to ga. spoke with the sales rep 2 weeks before even booking them to
find out all the ins and outs of using a moving company since would be my first time. she as a sales person made it seem easy. I let her know that I heard many complaints about other companies. she told me they were family owned and to make sure all things were boxed up. I paid my deposit, choose the date for the pickup (feb 13) and was advised that I would need to pay ½ at the time of the pickup. my husband was there for the pickup. first problem, they want us to pay to box up washer and dryer. I just assumed these would not need to be boxed. I contacted Olivia and was told, no they don’t need to be boxed. 2^nd problem, you charged my husband 90%.
We as a family left on feb 17 towards ga, called on feb 18^th and was told the truck just left. where was my stuff since you picked it up on the 14^th, a day after the promise pickup date? ok when will my belongings be in ga? not sure, call back, 2 weeks! what? Olivia and I discussed feb 20. many calls daily latet, I spoke withe the rudest, Al who told me they can hold my stuff for 21 days, not to call anymore, and he can’t tell me where my belongings are. this is after being hung up on twice.
today is the 21^st day and my belongings are still not here.
