Excellent service. Had bad service from another company where we think they broke something just to install a new garage door opener. Went to the Door Doctor next. Liked that I could go down and try out the actual garage door openers before selecting one. Tim came to do the install and he was quick, clean, and efficient. Really like the garage door seals that we added in addition to the new opener. I did not shop around for a better price but they seemed in the same market as the first company was going to charge $ 450 for a new opener and that is about what we paid at the Door Doctor. From now on, this is the only place I will go.
Plus, you get one year of free maintenance if anything goes wrong.

People are good but I still expect them to improve their work. All the best.

Having a detached garage rebuilt and I needed a garage door that complied with design standards from the city. In trying to keep costs down, I shopped around and found the Door Doctor. After comparing pricing, they were about 30% cheaper than the two other quotes that I had. Joey & Susan were extremely responsive, walking me through the process, working with my contractor and providing me with all the materials I needed to make an informed decision. The door was installed ahead of schedule by Tim & Kyle, who did a tremendous job. If you need a door, interior, exterior, garage or otherwise, give them a call. They are incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and have been in business for decades. Thanks to everyone at the Door Doctor for a great experience.

After disastrous attempts to work with a couple other companies, I finally just drove up to these guys and explained the problem. They hand delivered the parts needed and had Kyle onsite within 24 hours to diagnose the issue and install the fix.
30 Mins later the doors worked perfectly, he had serviced both sets of doors fully and taken measurements for the new doors; which will be $ 3K extra in their pockets.
Good service = good business!

I called them yesterday afternoon and got an appointment between 10 and 10:30 AM today. The «Doctor» showed up at 10 AM and had already identified the problem from the outside (no idea how, as it was a broken spring inside). He replaced the parts in about 30 minutes and everything works perfectly. He said I have a 30 day guarantee and they’ll come back if something is not right. Well, I am very pleased, as our garage did not open anymore which makes you feel kind of «stuck» :-). Tim Carrillo was the gentleman who fixed our garage door and I recommend him highly. Thank you.

The Door Doctor came out today to check my garage door. I thought something was wrong with opener. It turns out that a bicycle tire was blocking the electronic eye. Oh stupid me!
Tim noticed it very quickly. He greased the trolley because the door was noisy when it was opening. Even though it was something I didn’t notice and they came out, they didn’charge me anything. Hard to believe. Thank you!

I had new garage doors installed 13 years ago by the Door Doctor. A family run business that really pays attention to the customer with great products and great service. A spring broke on a Thursday and DD was able to come out on Monday. [I didn’t realize how much these doors weighed!]
As Justin was repairing our springs, I got a quick education. Regular springs last 5 – 10 years and the heavy duty springs last longer than that assuming you use the door 4 – 5 times a day. It really depends on how often you use your doors [that makes sense]. I went with the heavy duty springs $ 100 more, but if I get the 13 years I got the last time, I’ll be happy. Justin was able to change my springs, actually weigh my doors [255 pounds!] and adjust my garage door opener in under 2 hours.
Fast, efficient, friendly, reasonably priced.

Great service. The techs Justin and Randy did a great job. Our appointment was scheduled for 9:00am. They arrived ahead of schedule about 8:30. From the moment they arrived it was clear they were experienced and knew what they were doing. They serviced our opener and changed the rollers/​wheels on the door which took them about an hour and a half. Both the opener and wheels work quietly and smoothly. We would not hesitate to call them again.

We had the BEST experience with The Door Doctor. We were in need of a new entry door so, after lots of online research, I called them and spoke with Joey. She was friendly, helpful and patient right from the start. She walked us through the entire process and we really felt like we were able to get exactly what we wanted. The gentleman who came out to measure our opening was equally friendly and helpful, and definitely seemed to know his stuff. The installation went smoothly and as scheduled, and again, the installation crew was polite and knowledgeable.
I would not hesitate to contact The Door Doctor in the future for any other door needs we may have. The process was smooth from beginning to end, we got exactly what we wanted and had a great customer experience (which seems to be hard to come by these days). About a week back my garage door won’t open, so after reading reviews i called in for service, they fixed rails, changed sensors and charged me $ 150 for service with 30 days promise, that if anything goes wrong with door, they will come in and check. Of course if something new they will charge me more. After a week garage door wouldn’t open. I called in, they refused to even come and see. I was told warranty is only for sensors and for this I’ll be charged $ 140 just for person to come in. This is totally unprofessional,

My car door hit the garage door railing and bent it out of shape and the door could not open or close. Randy from Door Doctor was at home 30 minutes from the time we spoke to the person at Door Doctor on the phone. He was very personable, friendly and very professional. He fixed the garage door in about 10 minutes .

Called them the other day for a broken spring. They were able to come within couple of hours and fix it. The price was what I was told on the phone. Very happy with the service.

I had garage door issues with a broken roller, I called them at 8a in the morning, they showed up at 9a as I needed it to be fixed soon.
JustOn (not JustIn) showed up ready to take on the task. Replaced all rollers as others were old. He also helped program a key pad.
Door is much quieter, smoother.

When my garage door broke I was able to make an appointment the same day, Tim and Kyle showed up on time, were knowledgable about the needed repairs, and were extremely friendly. Within 30 mins Susan called with a quote, ordered the replacement, and scheduled the delivery & installation. Having to replace a garage door is a hassle, but The Door Doctor made this process painless.

We called to have our electric garage door fixed. Jason came right on time. (rare these days). He was polite, and informative. He explained the how’s and whys of the spring that was broken. Fixed it fast and even hammered the hinge that was loose on our front door.
I would definitely recommend them in the future. Friendly professionals who come on time get 5 stars!!!

I was dismayed late last night when I discovered my garage door had a broken spring and wouldn’t open, effectively trapping my car inside. I called The Door Doctor and left a message. I was hoping for next day service, but know they get very busy.
Imagine my surprise when I was called back at 8:15am the next morning with the assurance that Justin would be there in 30 minutes to let my car out! The office gal told me he had other appointments scheduled and might need to return later in the day if parts were needed. Turned out he had the parts on hand and completed the repair in thirty minutes flat. Great service and very pleasant to work with. Thank you, Door Doctor!

My garage door decided to stop working one day so I pinged my neighbor who is a realtor for a recommendation on a good garage repair company. Contra Costa Door was the vendor given to me so I quickly looked up the company on Unilocal to research whether or not I would in fact go with the recommendation. Reviews looked good so I proceed and schedule my first appt about 2 weeks out. Fast forward and unfortunately my garage spring breaks leaving my garage door completely inoperable. I of course call Contra Costa door again to come out. I book my appt for about 8 days out and am told the technician would arrive between 11 & 2pm. I take the day off and call Contra Costa Garage at 11:00 am that morning to see if they have a better estimate of ETA. I speak to a very nice gentleman who says the tech isn’t picking up his phone so I provide my cell phone # and ask for an update call. Fast forward to 1:40 pm I finally get a call from the tech telling me that he is «wrapping up and will be at my house in about 30 minutes.» I realize that this means that the tech isn’t even going to make it to my house in the «window» that I was scheduled for! I needed to head out and pick up my kids. I call the company asking to see if the technician can come back at 3:00 pm. His response «uh unfortunately I can’t be late to my next appt». This comment makes me upset as they didn’t have the decency to be on time to my appt or to even call to let me know that I could have used those 3 hours to run errands! The tech says «I’ll just have to come back.» This flippant comment was so insulting as it’s not that easy for me to take time off! Fast forward– one conversation with one of the partners of the company who did nothing– I ended up going with the Door Doctor. Called the same day that Contra Costa Door didn’t show up. I explained the situation to the woman on the phone. She sympathized with my frustration and was able to book me an appt for 2 days later on a Fri for 9−12pm.
Fri morning I receive a nice call letting me know that my technician is on his way. Imagine that! Our tech arrived early and went to work immediately. After going back & forth between the garage & his truck he tells me some info that I was already aware of (broken spring) but he also tells me that my track is slightly bent. He replaces the spring, works to straighten out the track and an hour later my garage was up and operable again! I told him that contra costa door was recommending that I replace my entire door and i was curios if he agreed with their recommendation. He smiled and said «I don’t see a need at this time unless you have specific reasons why you want a new door?» My gut was right. I was being uphold by Contra Costa Door! Bummer. Won’t be using or referring them ever. I also told my realtor about my horrible experience with them. She’s now referring The Door Doctor!

Same day service for a broken torsion spring on the garage door. Tried to get a quote from another company but the service person never showed, even after they called to confirm they would be there in 25 minutes!
Cheapest? probably not. Fast, friendly, thorough, explained the work, gone in 35 minutes.

I got a quote from Door Doctor to install weather stripping for my entry door. Their quote came out very expensive. I guess for simple jobs you can go with a cheaper handyman. I picked a handyman from Angie’s list and I was very happy with his work .
They are also very busy they schedule work a month to two in advance.
