This family owned business started off with a desire to create a better and more reliable transportation system for the residents of Pleasanton. The first Yellow Cab was a great success and launched into perspective a thriving business that still exists today. Pleasanton Branch: Rakesh took over the company in mid 2005 when the taxi business was suffering a huge economic turn down. There were only three cabs in operations and a small office. Today he has expanded the business to 18 vehicles, mostly new and hybrid vehicles. Rakesh has expanded the company and upped standards so that no other company in the Tri-Valley area can provide the same level of service as Yellow Cab. That includes response times, professionalism, knowledge of geographical area, insured and background checked vehicles and drivers, as well as reliable service. His motto is: «Don’t go for the cheapest cabs; there’s probably a big reason they can offer you a prices. You just have to use our service and see the difference!

this was the worst fucking Cab experience ever first of all i called 40 minutes in advance to get picked up at a certain time and the guy gets there over 10mins later than the time making me late to work like who does that!!! if he was even 5 mins earlier i would have been just fine but instead i had to wait for the next train which made me 20 mins late fuck this taxi service only catching über/lift taxis are dead zone !!! stupid dispatch lady cant fucking understand english !!

This company did everything that you would want in a taxi service. The cab was waiting outside my place 5 minutes before the pickup time, he let me stop to get my starbucks, and got me to the airport on time. If you’re looking for reliable service without the frills, this is definitely an option.

Overall pretty straightforward taxi cab service! I was in the Pleasanton Area visiting some family and chose Yellow Cab Pleasanton as a way to the to Oakland Airport. My driver, Jagtar, was polite and courteous, and we made small talk about the local area. He mentioned that Hacienda Crossings and Stoneridge Mall were common destinations; I will definitely be checking those out next time I’m in the area. Would definitely use this Yellow Cab again!

I was lucky to get picked up by the owner, Rocky!
this guy is the guy you should try to get a cab from. He made great conversation with me throughout my ride to SFO and once we got there, he gave me a discount (without me even asking) just because this was a personal trip. OMG, that just warmed me so much… the discount is about 10%, so in return I told him to keep the discount as his tip because I got a great service.
I can feel the competition from TAXI company now days with UBER coming along, but I have to say, The service I got is way BETTER than UBER.

I’ve had to make quite a few trips these past few months to San Jose international airport and back to Pleasanton with Yellow Cab Pleasanton. I was transferred to New York for my new job and these guys have been an absolute blessing these past couple of weeks. Since this is my final trip, I thought I’d put out a good word for them. All the driver have been pretty decent and for the most part we’ve always had a we good chat (one of the drivers isn’t really the talking type but he’s still very «chill»). My favorite has been Sandhu (I probably just butchered his name). If you can, definitely request the guy. I’ve never had a problem with their taxi drivers going on some random route or trying to charge me a ridiculous amount. In terms of the cars, I’ve always been driven in a Toyota Prius so these guys seem to care about the environment (or at the least saving gas expenses), the cars have been clean, and all have accepted my corporate card. Easy as cake. If I am ever back in the area, I’ll definitely give you guys a ring.

It’s been almost three years since I’ve taken a taxi and I never thought I’d be picking a taxi over Über here in the SF bay area. Unfortunately, Über literally has like 2 drivers to serve the entire Tri-Valley; the closest Über driver was all the way in San Leandro. But since my last taxi ride, service has definitely gotten much, much better (probably since these ridesharing services have gotten pretty big). My driver, Paramjit, had a water bottle for me, offered to play my choice of music on the radio, brought a relatively clean cab, and didn’t nag me for tip. I might actually look into using this yellow taxi services again. Exceptional service will always get a well deserved review.

I’ve been taking taxis a lot recently due to work and I’ve been using this company for the past two months so I’ve learned a couple of tricks here and there. Instead of calling for a cab, I just book online and don’t even have to worry about giving my details over the phone, them not understanding me and them showing up at a different address/wrong time. Basically no hassles when you book online, and they respond within 1 – 2 hours confirming your reservation. In terms of timeliness, give or take five minutes. They’re usually early or on time, but its a taxi so don’t expect 100% on-time service. But I guess it’s never been a problem for me since I am the one who is usually running late. If you have an appointment or airport trip where its mandatory to be on time, I would suggest calling in about 15 minutes before (just in case). I always do. My favorite drivers are Jassi and Jagtar. If those guys aren’t available, then Param. These guys always arrive with the cleanest cabs (I think they’ve been working the longest too, apparently Jassi’s been driving since 2006) and they get me to work FAST. Jassi is a night time driver and Jagtar is a day driver. So far I’ve had nothing to complain and the dispatcher seems to have memorized my number and is quick to let me know details if I call in. Its been a great experience so far and they’ve helped me get to work almost everyday. The least I could do is write a review for them. Five Stars!

This Cab company doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Had dinner reservations, called ahead of time. Was told they would be there in 15 mins. 1 hour latter still no taxi. Called was given the run around. Ended up missing dinner. The worst ever.

Tip: If you call in for a cab, DO NOT tell them your destination until cab arrives. That way they won’t price gouge you and have to use the meter for actual mileage.

I was in northern California for my summer internship. I’ve been in a lot of cabs and I usually get pretty good drivers (unlike the norm, it seems that very few people come up and review taxi companies when they get good reviews). However, this was a very great driver. The driver offered not only offered his wifi hotspot and had a bottle of cold Naked Juice at the airport. I was extremely impressed. These guys are doing something different. Good for you.

Awful. We were in Livermore going to another destination in Livermore. Arranged cab online. 15 min late, didn’t know where we wanted to go though it is a very popular restaurant. My husband had to look up the address and then the driver hands him the GPS to input it ! The driver was not pleasant, had his window all the way down the whole trip without even checking to make sure it wasn’t going to be uncomfortable for his passengers. Did not speak or understand English very well and I think that is extremely important in an English speaking country. Never again!

FYI. Call the night before. Not super techy. If you’re going to the airport. Add 10 – 15 mins. To get your stuff ready and give yourself enough time to get to the airport including traffic!!!

I’m typing this on my phone because this cab company left me hanging at b&n when I called the service over an hour ago. I called for a cab and was asked to give for the typical location and destination. Don’t know how ‘Barnes and noble’ got confused with ‘hooters’ but the guy on the other line found a way. The cab called me and told me he was outside hooters and after clearing up the confusion, he said he’d be here in a couple minutes. Half an hour later, he’s heading to danville and tells me to call back the dispatcher. So I do and the same guy I called an hour ago insists that I told him I was at hooters and then goes onto tell me that he ‘has no cabs for me go call somebody else’. What.
This isn’t the first time I’ve used this cab service (although I haven’t called them in a while) and I am well aware of their infamy on customer service and timing. But this is the first time I’ve ever been blown off like that. If there were any other more reliable cab companies around here I’d certainly call them but I think they all suck around the same so just don’t call any cab company situated in the tri-valley. Ever.

Not quite sure where all the negative reviews are coming from; I’ve called this cab company over a dozen times in the last year and I’ve never experienced any problems. I travel about every two weeks for work, and it’s always last minute — meaning I call Rocky or his wife the night before, scheduling a ride to the airport at some ungodly hour the following morning. Rocky, the owner, brings me coffee in the morning, and In’N’Out when I arrive back at SFO. He doesn’t even mind when I text him at 3 in the morning asking for a pick up from the airport when I arrive that afternoon!
I have no experience with calling for an immediate ride, but as far as scheduling one in advance these guys are rock stars. There’s a reason I call them every two weeks!

Long story short:
I work at a local restaurant and I called this cab company at a customer’s request. I was advised a cab would arrive 15 minutes later, and after 5 follow up calls on my part and them hanging up on my twice, I put the patron in the cab of another company over an hour later when Yellow Cab never showed up. They were extremely rude and even sent my calls to voicemail when I attempted to cancel the service. When I tried to follow up the next morning with a manager, I was told no one knew when or if he’d be in again, but that my complaint had been filed already. Considering there’s no way they could know who I was, I highly doubt that.
What a joke of a company. If you need transportation, highly consider walking before calling this company. You’ll get there much faster.

If I could give this company ZERO stars, I would.
I called for a taxi at exactly 2:59 today. I was told by the dispatcher, «They will be there in 10 to 15 minutes.»
As I am sitting here, it has been 52 minutes and I’ve already called another cab company.
I understand that there are more pressing issues in the world, but if your business is picking people up and dropping them off, then you might want to at least try and do a good job at it.

I’m currently writing this review while waiting for a cab from a different company to pick me up, because I got so fed up with the atrocious service I received here.
In a nutshell: First day of work. It’s the 4^th of July so bus lines are not running and I can’t score a ride. Fine, I’ll bite the bullet and pay $ 10 to get ten minutes away from my house. Call the first cab company I find on Google. Pleasant man says a driver will be here at 9:40. Perfect. 9:40 comes and goes. I call at 9:45. He apologizes and says the driver is two minutes away. I roll my eyes, thank him, and hang up. Am forced to shamefacedly call my brand spankin’ new job and tell them I’ll be late. 20 minutes later, still no cab. I call again, and speak to a girl this time. After putting me on hold for two minutes, she says that my call was already cleared out. I informed her sweetly that this was simply an impossibility. Puts me on hold again. Then says irritably that it’s my responsibility to call my driver to find out where he is.
I hung up on her while she was rattling off the phone number.
