Discount Tire Store – Plymouth, MN

What a friendly, knowledgable staff! I came in with a slow leak in one of my tires and was treated with such respect and care, which isn’t always the case when it comes to car care — some places I’ve been to try to take advantage of me, being a young woman who isn’t super knowledgeable with cars. The staff take customer service and integrity seriously. I’ll definitely be back for all my tire needs and recommend my friends do the same!

These guys are super great. I’ve been going to various Discount Tire locations around the metro area for years, and I’ve had a consistently good experience.
Eric and his team here at the Plymouth location are especially dedicated to customer service and take the extra time to educate customers as well. They stand by their work and they are efficient and cheerful. It may be a discount tire shop, but there is nothing discount about the experience here.

Love this store. The staff is great, honest, polite, fast, and professional. I have never experienced any high pressure sales or dishonest sales tactics that I hear people talking about when they’ve gone to other places for tires.
The staff here seem to be true professionals. I am sure they hire a «dud» once in a while, but I have truly not had any complaints after patronizing this store location for over 7 years, and purchasing tires for 5 different vehicles here.

All experiences I have had here were very positive. Have bought tires and wheels. They are knowledgeable and friendly. Always willing to ask questions, do double checks, etc. Really like this place and would recommend them!

By far one of the best places to take care of any tire issue from repair to replace and anything in between.
Also — one of the last few companies with true customer service.

Ive been coming to this discount tire location for about 3 years for tire rotations and purchases
Today I went in because mt TPS light was on. Ok actually its been on for 20 days but im taking a road trip in 2 days and wanted comfort in my vehicle.
I had NOO Appointment and just pulled up they checked my airpressure and then said if I waited they would do an inspection. 15 minutes later they rotated and inspected mt tires and I was good to go!
Great, friendly, knowledgeable and quick service. Ill be back in another 5,000 miles

I didn’t want to come here. I mean, who does, right? But I’m generally pretty happy with my experience. On the way back from Wisconsin, we got a flat tire. When we got home, the first thing I did was call Discount Tire (I live just down the street), to see if they could fix my tire. Of course, the tire couldn’t be fixed and I ended up having to replace all 4 tires. Set me back about $ 650. At first, I doubted what the sales guy told me (having to replace all 4 AWD tires because of tread wear) and as I said in the waiting area, I did some research and found that he wasn’t just trying to rip me off. I also did some price comparisons and Discount Tire is about in line with Costco tires (my go-​to place for reasonable tires). They replaced my tires and got me going in about an hour.

I was told to come to this location for tires by a friend. I was very happy with their service. The shop was very clean, and the staff seemed professional. I went to another «ma and pa» shop in Robbinsdale, and was not impressed. And I saved $ 200 by coming to Discount tire for a set of 4 all wheel drive tires. The other place was pushing a certain brand of tire, and all I wanted was the kind I had before. Discount had them in a few days and even with the tire warranty, I still saved money.

After having some trouble getting a quote over the phone from Herb’s Service Center down the street (was trying to help out the little guy rather than doing business with a chain), I called up Discount Tire. No problem, they said, and quoted me 4 different options for new tires for my SUV ranging from $ 505 to $ 980.
They said they’d need half an hour to do the work and they were able to find me a spot right after work at 5:15 to get the work done the next day. In between the phone call and the appointment, I had used my time to lookup reviews of the various tire options on-​line and decide on the ones I wanted. When I walked in the door for my appointment I told the guy behind the counter which option I had decided on and handed over my keys.
No pressure, no extra sales pitch, no extended warranty nonsense. Just a quick and easy transaction. They had me in and out in 24 minutes with 4 new tires. This is how service should be, quick, professional, and to the point. Great bunch of guys at Discount Tire. I’d highly recommend them!

Two more tires from DT (different car). I plan to get 4, but could only afford two this month. Apparently they will not remove tires that they deem inferior, so I had to get the back ones replaced (instead of the front ones, which were worse), which I thought was weird (maybe a sales trick), but I didn’t fight it since I do plan to get the others changed soon. The tired tires this car came with are not my friends when the snow is on the roads.
I’ve shopped some sales, and DT still wins.

Excellent tire store. Knowledgeable, courteous, professional, serious staff. Matched prices on tires and installation from a very large competitor and I did not have to wait a week for the tires to arrive. Comfortable waiting room with free wifi. Really fast installation. Much wider selection of tires than the place I used to love for tires that used to have a ‘plus’ selection. Definitely recommend.
