History

Established in 1985.

Festive Event’s President-​Dave Long has been performing as a Disc Jockey since 1980. He started on Cape Cod, first as an air personality at his college radio station, then moving on to WCIB, a 50,000 watt commercial station also on the Cape. During this time, Dave entertained several nights a week at the Mill Hill Club in West Yarmouth. In 1985, Dave became part of the morning team on Boston’s WZOU 94.5 radio station. He always enjoyed the feel of the live audience and continued to play weddings and corporate parties weekly. When the requests for his mobile business became more than he could handle on his own (I can only be in one place at a time) he created a network of talented entertainers that could pass work and creative ideas around. Thirty years later Festive Events Inc is going stronger than ever and utilizes the best entertainers available. Whatever you’re looking for in the form of entertainment we can deliver.
