Love the place, the juices are great, fresh and delicious… a little pricy, but totally worth it …Now one thing i will suggest, the Owners need to be more friendly… they are rude and not inviting at all! BUT. hey have two WONDERFUL girls working there .and without them. they will be lost. These girls talk to you, make feel welcome, help you with selections and know you by NAME!

I went to Vela the first time a couple weeks ago. It’s a nice looking place; inviting for where it is. The smoothie I got was OK. I was told by the worker(Allana I think was her name) that it would be very fruity and flavorful because of the honey and tropical fruits they put in it. It was okay. Kind of bland. But that’s not why I’m writing this review(which I basically never do). The reason I’m writing this review is the HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE. I walked in, was greeted with a quick«hi,» and asked what I wanted. I let the worker know I wasn’t sure yet and it was my first time there. They said that was okay and to let them know when I was ready, they then walked into their back room and stayed there for a little over 5 minutes while I stood at the register. The woman came back out and asked if I was ready to order(no apology or explanation of where they were), to which I responded«I was thinking about the ____(I forget the name), is it sweet?» Allana said«yeah, it’s sweet. Imagine sitting on a beach drinking some rum with it.» I thought it was odd that a «healthy» place would use alcohol to explain their drinks, but whatever. I said I’d take a small, paid, and sat down at the bar. About eight or so minutes later I got my smoothie and was told to «have a nice day.» I guess they wanted me out of there. I tried Vela a second time the other day with my fiancé. This time a younger looking boy was working at the front and he was very kind, giving suggestions and making small talk. He suggested I get the«pump me up,» so I ordered a small. My fiancé got a juice which was made by another man who was working there and may have been the owner. She thought the juice was pretty good. It turns out Allana was working again today and she made my smoothie. She gave it to me and I thanked her, to which I got no «you’re welcome» or «no problem.» We left after saying goodbye to the younger boy. I do not recommend the«pump me up.» I really don’t know how peanut butter banana and strawberries managed to taste SOBAD, but I had my partner try it and guess what! A sticker in the smoothie. How nice. We threw the smoothie away and will not be returning. I suggest you do the same, at least until you stop seeing that worker in the window.

I enjoy going in there every time. Great people working there, great smoothies. In my opinion, when you can’t stop yourself from writing a review, it’s either really good or really bad. This place is all around excellent

After being sick with the flu all weekend and the beginning of the week, my husband and I had a total loss of appetite. This afternoon was the first we felt like eating. Vela has always been a favorite of ours. I stopped in for smoothies and soup to go. The soup this week was carrot, sweet potato, and ginger. It was delicious and just what we needed. We are feeling better after being full of all natural vitamins and minerals. Thanks, Vela! We you! Thanks for helping us get back on our feet. We will be back in to make sure we stay healthy!

I’ve tried quite a few juice shops. Vela, BYFAR outperformed any other place I’ve been to. It’s not a secret… You’re going to pay a bit for quality juice, however… The prices were the most reasonable I’ve seen and the juice was PERFECTLY balanced and ridiculously delicious. The shop is quite cozy, but modern and clean. Customer service is phenomenal. Vela gets it, guys. Big time. I’ve tried: Green Monster Feel the Hydration Quick & Dirty Flu Fighter And my ABSOLUTEFAVORITE…(Seriously, I’ll be dreaming of this one) Ruby Red Bliss(with jalapeño… Because spice up your life, people.)

Wonderfully helpful staff. One of the owners is usually behind the counter. They are happy to make special orders for you if you ask them nicely. It also reasonable priced.

I mentioned to my husband, literally the day before this place opened, that we needed a juice bar in Plymouth. The next day, I opened FB and up popped an article about Vela opening that very same day. I was pumped! I think I was in there the very next day and tried The Green Monster. I’ve had many green juices before, but many of them left a bad taste in my mouth. Not this one! You can hardly tell that you’re drinking a cup full of vegetables. I’m not a ginger fan, but opted to get it with the ginger anyway and it wasn’t bad at all. The lemon was just enough to take the edge off. Since that first day, I’ve been here another half a dozen times and tried The 1620, The Sailor’s Delight and Pumped Up with whey protein and I have loved each and every item! My favorites are the Pumped Up and Sailor’s Delight. I’m going to try one of their juice cleanses next and I’m looking forward to it. My kids were also big fans of the Minecraft Masher juice. I highly recommend this place as an alternative to your local coffee shop. Good and good for you! I will be back(again)!

Great place! Was happy to see a juice bar in the area and really lends itself to the new wave of urban like destinations in downtown Plymouth. Staff was very friendly, and the place looked spotless(despite the messy business that is juicing). I had a juice shot — which while great — was not the best bargin(1.75 oz for $ 5), no complaint on the ingredients I saw an employee hand grating the ginger for it. The juices however, seem like an incredible deal and I’d probably opt for that next time. Tried some of a smoothie as well, and that was great. I’d also like to emphasize, that true to the name, they actually do have a bar which is cool. My shot was in a real glass, and I could see myself hanging at the counter with friends. Nice alternative to bar or coffee shop. Looks like they also offer a juice detox/cleanse thing where you pay a price per day and they provide you with all the fresh juice. I have no interest in this, but is a great option for someone local who wants to do this without having to order your juice overtightened. All in all great experience, and I’ll be stopping by again next time I’m in Plymouth.

So I have been anxiously waiting for a juice bar to open up near me, and alas it has. I drove down the street and finally the windows weren’t covered up and the signs were hanging. Vela juice bar is in the heart of downtown plymouth, loads of stores and lots to do. When I walked in I was greeted and I was shocked about how almost new age vintage it seemed. Everything was modern but had a comfortable homey vibe. It wasn’t super earthy crunchy and you can tell they put a lot of time into the atmosphere. Dan and Ana were crazy busy and you can tell they were super excited to have just opened and to be that busy in winter nonetheless. This is my new go to for sure. I have tried their acai bowls, juice and smoothie and their protein bites(yum). Better than the rest!
