Description

Specialties

While some people come here to take classes just for fun or to make natural products for themselves or friends/family as gifts, we really specialize in teaching people who want to go into business making bath & body products. Our classes are very thorough and «information intensive» so that after taking a class, you should be able to go home and make the products as good if not better than what you made in the class. We have been in business since 2003 and have helped launch dozens of businesses in the soap, candle, and natural bath & body product field.

History

Established in 2003.

I began making natural bath & body products in my kitchen in 2000 as a way to make family and friends homemade, practical gifts. Shortly thereafter, I began teaching classes. It seemed only natural for me to combine my passion for my new hobby with my training and love for teaching. I have a Master’s Degree in Speech Communication from the University of Hawaii (which has nothing to do with making natural products, but I always knew I would end up teaching in some capacity).

In September 2003, I opened The Nova Studio in historic Point Richmond, CA. The Nova Studio features the soap, bath & body, and candle classes as well as other innovative and creative classes with other Bay Area teachers. «My goal is to provide a creative space that encourages both students and teachers to find and share their passions with the community.»

Stay tuned my friends, the best is yet to come!
