Went with my aunt and uncle. My steak was good but they messes up my aunt’s steak 3 times. Asked for medium well(push) and it came out almost raw in the middle. Sent it back, came back a strong medium. Sent back and finally closer. Was disappointing. Took a long time to get their initial drinks as well. I will say the spicy lobster bites for an app were very good. They need a better cook for steaks at a steakhouse.

I sat at the bar for my first visit here. I had half a prime rib sandwich w/fries and a Blueberry Mojito. This is an upscale environment that I can best describe as classy casual. The service was impeccable and deserts delicious(crème brule w/berries and chocolate lava cake). All I can say is no need to wait for a fancy formal steak dinner, come for lunch or a nightcap and sample the menu.

Good food great service. In my opinion Ruth Chris is a better spot for this type of dinner. The atmosphere is good.

Without question a great place for dinner. By the sounds of it m, Thanksgiving is not the time to go, but any other time is fantastic! Had several customer dinners there with great service and food. On the pricey side, but it’s not a weekly thing. Bar makes great drinks too.

Disappointed with the service … We were group of 7 with a reservation at 7:15. We had to wait for 20 mins to get seated, and once we were seated, our drinks orders were taken after another 15 mins. It didn’t stop there, our drinks took 20 mins and they didn’t take the meal orders for another 20 mins and that is after letting them know that we were ready to order. They forgot to bring out our bread and the servers were no where around. Overall, I found that the service does not match the price here, and with so many good restaurants around the area, I am not going to be coming back to this one.

Awesome meal. Start with the shellfish tower with a great selection of cocktails to choose. The bone in filet was outstanding. Finish it off with the chocolate lava cake. Great service and wine selection as well.

Worst fine dining experience ever. –30 minutes late to seat our reservation — 45 minutes to get our bottle of prosecco which the server kept calling champagne and never refilled our glasses –app and salads/soups came out 30 minutes later 1.5 hrs in(after seating) delivered at the same time — soup had a warming lamp filmy crust on top — dinner out at 2.5 hours Food was tasty. The experience was rotten.

My family and I were in town for the Quarter Horse Congress and stopped in one night for a quick drink. We sat on the patio with the fire place, which was very nice. We were so impressed with the staff and atmosphere we decided to make reservations for the next night. Upon arrival our reservation had not been saved, however they were able to accomodate us. Our server was Ashley and she was phenomenal. She was the consummate professional. The bartender and another waitress from the night before stopped by our table to say«Hi» and welcome back. The food was outstanding and cooked as requested. The wine list was excellent. We will absolutely be back.

Mitchell’s at Polaris is the best steakhouse I have ever been to. My husband and I have tried all of the local steak restaurants and always go back to Mitchell’s. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant, the servers and the managers. We have never had a bad experience. Chip is an amazing server, and knows what we want without us even needing to ask. The manager Scott has gone above and beyond expectations to always make sure that are visits are spectacular. And the food is absolutely amazing. I can not recommend this place enough.

Wonderful experience last night. They seem to be back on their game after sliding a bit. The new calamari app was awesome. My cowboy rib eye was perfect and flavorful. Others had the Chilean Sea bass and said it was excellent. Spinach salad a perfect size and tasty. They have adjusted their wine prices to be more reasonable. Our server James was very good and had provided good recommendations. The apple bread pudding dessert was a pleasant surprise. Will be back soon.

Came here with a bunch of coworkers and ordered a bunch of appetizers. I had the strip steak and it was delicious. The sides and appetizers were great as well. Very happy with this place and I’ve been to pretty much all the steakhouses in Ohio. Will be back again and again until I’m heading back to NY.

I know some have had a less than great experience here since Cameron Mitchell sold to Ruth’s Chris. That being said, I have never had a bad experience here in the last 5 times I have come here over the last three years. The oysters were great. The martinis were very good.(great is when the thin layer of ice comes on top, but that is just me) The desserts are great. I don’t think they have the best dessert coffee, but that is a minor item in the big picture.

Steak 3 course meal is not a bad deal. 10oz filet was cooked to perfection. Gumbo was very tasty. Desert finished it off and was rich and excellent. Atmosphere was fine dining setting. Highly recommended.

One of the best rare cooked prime ribeyes I’ve ever had! The sides of corn, creamed spinach, wild mushrooms and asparagus were all excellent. Went well with our Petite Syrah. Can’t wait to come back and now have found my favorite high end restaurant to bring my customers to.

We chose this location for my wife’s birthday; the food and service was very good. The inside was very«steak house» like and very tasteful. My only complaint is it is a relatively high end restaurant so I would expect a minimum dress code. Many were in tasteful garb, business casual plus but too many in tee shirts and sports wear. Really took away from the experience, I won’t be back.

Went on New Years Eve w/friends. Place was busy, but not too noisy, very easy to carry on a conversation. Décor/atmosphere differed depending upon the room you were in. Some had more interesting décor, others were kind of bland. Did not see the bar. Service: Valet parking is provided, but not necessary. Hostess team very friendly, sat us immediately. Waiter was very friendly, very attentive. Brought food and took care of requests promptly… nice work. Orders fulfilled to request. Food: Disappointing. Had not eaten here since 2002(when Cameron Mitchell still ran the restaurant). Surprising considering the Ruth’s Chris ownership(I have found Ruth’s Chris to be consistently good), although with the impending sale to Landry’s, that might explain the difference in quality? Appetizers: Ahi Tuna and Calamari — Ahi was lousy. Did not taste fresh, very muted. Ate one bite and left the rest. They mentioned the calamari was one of their specialties… this recipe should be reworked. Side items were typical(spicy peppers, spicy sauce, boring). The calamari was large, but the look, texture and taste made it seem as though it was purchased out of a frozen foods section of the grocery store and then microwaved. Blah. Main Course: Filet w/bleu cheese crust. Steak was not bad… cooked to requested temp and bleu cheese crust was nicely topped. Not really sure how else to describe… it was not bad, but not«steak house quality». Felt like I could have purchased a prime filet at Giant Eagle and cooked it as good or better on my own(for 1⁄3 the cost). Sides: Jalapeño Scalloped Potatoes, Asparagus, Roasted Brussels Sprouts w/Bacon & Hand Cut Fries(last was per heavy recommendation from server). Scalloped were good, nice flavor, not too spicy, but nice dash of kick. Asparagus was fine… hard to mess up. Hand cut fries were… fries. Nothing special, waste of money. Brussels Sprouts cooked well, have really started to like these in past few years. They could have been more imaginative with sides, so the overall options and taste were a bit boring, but as stated above, everything was cooked well and tasted fine. Dessert: My take on desserts is probably not worth paying attention to as I do not typically care for 98% of restaurant desserts… they always look so good and then never seem to deliver for me(aside from Bern’s Steakhouse in Tampa, FL). We had the apple pie bread pudding, which was made rather well… good flavor, nice finish. For me still, just«meh», but not a bad dessert for a restaurant. I would guess most would enjoy this offering(again, pay no attention to my take on restaurant desserts as it is probably unfair… just my personal taste). Wine: Geesh… what the frick. 2−3x retail for wine anymore is idiotic. I have seen too many places that are able to put together a reasonable list with reasonable prices, so when I see lists like this, it sours the experience for me. Nothing goes better with a steakhouse meal than a good bottle of wine. Putting together a mediocre list with insane price markups is pure laziness in today’s market. List was average, prices were horrible. D+ for the wine list. Was really miffed at this, but kept it to myself(its not the server’s fault). Just ended up order a couple of glasses for both my wife and I(and I think we ended up buying them probably two bottles’ worth considering the price we paid). Overall, it was just a blah experience. I had extremely low expectations due to the New Year’s Eve factor(service is usually horrible on this night). However, as mentioned above, service was great and timely, but not rushed. Atmosphere in our dining area was kind of lame, food was rather blah, and wine list was HORRIBLE. Not sure if Ruth’s Chris gave up on these guys or what, but hopefully Landry’s can pump some fresh new life into the menu and cooking, and perhaps revamp the wine list(I do not have high hopes here… so many restaurants handle this part of the experience with little-to-no effort or care). I hope they can give the hard-working and very friendly staff at Mitchell’s a solid menu to sell to their customer base. Will most likely not go back here… my only motivation would be curiosity as to what Landry’s does with the place. Perhaps I will keep an eye on Unilocal reviews after the transition and see how things go. In the meantime, too many better alternatives to choose from when looking for steak/steakhouse fare.

I really want to give 3.5 stars because fancy steakhouses should be held to higher standards. Mitchell’s was very good but there is a lot of competition in steakhouses these days and very good is easy to come by. Drinks at the bar first. Attentive service, decent list of whiskeys and wine by the glass. Pleasant atmosphere. We moved to a table for dinner and the hostess carried our drinks, nice touch. Great service. Nicely paced. I had the bone in filet and ordered medium rare, but mine was so rare it was cold in the center. Chopped salad was a pleasant surprise. I’d come back just for that. Sides were very good, it the much touted Mitchell’s corn was nothing special. All in all a good dinner and I would come back especially for a business dinner.

Honestly not sure why this location hasn’t gotten better reviews! My husband and I came for our anniversary(Feb 2014) and it was a great dining experience! I mentioned on our reservation that it was for our anniversary and we were seated at a great table, with less than a 5 minute wait(we were a little early) on a Saturday night. We both got ribeye steaks. Mine was possibly the best I’ve ever had, cooked perfectly. And my husband who is not much of a steak eater to begin with said his was delicious as well. I also got the roasted brussel sprouts + bacon, which were amazing too! They comp’d our desserts… I had crème brûlée(delicious) and he had the cheesecake with brandied cherries(also great), as well as a fairly expensive glass of wine for me. They also took a photo of us that they gave us in a little display card and there was an anniversary card waiting when we were seated. Our server was great, super nice, attentive, and knowledgeable! Not sure how much better service could be than that! The only negative I can think of was that the table next to us thought it was a great idea to bring two young, kind of unruly kids there for dinner(and then ignore their behavior!) So it was a little noisier than we would have liked until they left. Other than that it was perfection!
