Description

Specialties

We provide child development services, child care with an educational purpose for children ages 8 weeks to 6 years old. Our teachers all hold a California Child Development Permit Credential, are College trainined, and many of whom hold a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Child Development. We have specially designed classrooms and curriculum with age appropriate materials to help challenge children to learn at their best.

Our program is a labratory learning site for the University of La Verne, Child Development Department and the students who come to learn with us are additional hands of trained assistance in the classrooms.

History

Established in 1980.

Our Center was established as a community service here at Fairplex. We have served a diverse population of children and families during our history.

In 1980 we were one of the first early childhood programs in Southern California to offer a fully inclusion program for children with special needs. We know that children benefit from helping one another, and providing the least restrictive environment where all children can learn from one another.

In 1991 we became offical partners with the University of La Verne, and we combined our center with the existing university center. We proudly continue our partnership with the University of La Verne, providing intern settings for the bachelor and master level students. We collaborate with the child development faculty on elements such as curriculum and our educational program. Many times we have families come to our center who they attended as children themselves. It is truly a center that is focused on children and their families.
