Omid S.

Business Owner

Omid J Shirazi focuses his practice on tax controversy, tax planning, and complex transactional matters for businesses, individuals, and professionals. When representing clients faced with complex issues, Omid draws on his legal experience at the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, as well as his background as a CPA with PwC and Squar Milner, to most effectively provide counsel and advise clients. Omid’s background, both in private practice and at the IRS, provides him with the tools to assess the strengths and risks of each issue, negotiate favorable settlements with the government and, if necessary, litigate the matter before the appropriate court.

As a practicing CPA for over 8 years, both in the public and private sectors, Omid has advised clients on income tax treaty implications, FATCA and FBAR filing requirements. He has additionally worked on tax-​efficient transactions & structures in the context of Federal & state inbound and outbound royalty, dividend, and interest payment.
