To keep pace with the ever-evolving field of neurosurgery and spine, SCCNS’ surgeons are principal investigators in the latest clinical research studies involving minimally invasive surgical procedures and devices. History
Established in 2005.
SCCNS’ Medical Director and Lead Neurosurgeon, Dr. Ali Mesiwala founded the Center in 2005 after leaving Cedars-Sinai in order to be able to have a more involved approach in the care of the patients in hopes of developing a world class center of excellence.

Business Owner
Ali H. Mesiwala, M.D. is a board certified neurosurgeon, and respected researcher, who specializes in the development of endoscopic and minimally invasive techniques for both cranial and spinal surgery. He collaborates with nationally renowned otolaryngology and head and neck surgery centers across the country to perform complex skull base and vascular procedures. In addition, he is an expert in complex spinal procedures, including deformity correction and revision surgery.
Dr. Mesiwala has written more than 50 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and abstracts, and has been featured on various radio and television segments. He is an active member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, American Medical Association, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, The Pituitary Network, Trigeminal Neuralgia Association, and Indian Medical Association.
