Bought a Strymon Mobius from here and the service here was absolutely amazing. They try their best to make sure you have a great experience and get exactly what you need. They treat every customer like a friend and I would happily go here over the large name brand stores like guitar center or Sam ash. Btw, they’re one of the few that stock Strymon so that’s a major MAJOR plus.

Looking back at my older review, which was a bit harsh regardless I do recommend that you should check out this establishment. It’s pretty much the best music shop around Pomona, Claremont, LaVern and even Montclair compared to other music shops, such as the Music Boutique, Folk Music store and many crooked Pawn shops, because they carry decent products and the staff is well educated about own gear. They have a Guitar Tech who fixed my previous Guitars PS it’s a bit pricey, but worth it. At the end of the day you can’t compare them to a Sam Ash or Guitar Center however they do and hold their own against the other competitors.

The guitar tech here is totally incompetent. I have a tech that does amazing setups elsewhere but he has been away due to medical leave. I had brought in an instrument to be fret leveled and the guy here was using the fret rocker completely wrong with the strings on. He told me he couldn’t do anything and that I should wait for my miracle guitar tech. I’m glad I did not do business with these jokes.

I am very grateful for Styles Music’s existence. I’m from Pomona so they’re ridiculously close to home as opposed to guitar center or sam ash. The staff there is incredibly helpful in every way and realistically honest to their profession. For the most part of the times I’m there I see Lou, and he’s always been super cool. I’ve bought strings, picks, guitars, drumsticks, and I plan to buy much more! I’ve learned to restring my guitar from Lou, and many other peices of valuable information to all musicians. I’d say if all music stores were equal distance, I’d be drawn to styles, for the unique deals and the amazing customer service!
P. S. They went so far as to send me a thank you card for purchasing a guitar, I mean cmon!

This Place has been here since I was a kid. The difference between this and a monstrous Corporate chain store that buys out its competition when it needs inventory that it can’t get due to big money agreements is that «this» is their business and not a job.
I’ve had jobs and I’ve been self employed and I’ve also worked for one of those corporate stores and it’s always just a job from what I’ve witnessed and lived.
Yesterday, I witnessed a kid coming in to buy picks for the guitar he plays at school telling one of the brothers behind the counter how his class was going to learn «Hotel California» and that he wanted a guitar of his own. I’m sure that kid will be lead in the correct direction when it comes to what he needs and not just what he can afford or anxiously wants.
Their onsite tech has repaired an old amp for me, I’ve purchased floor monitors and boutique effects pedals here as well as a funky lime green coiled guitar cable and my questions on warranties were answered because «they» are the ones that actually talk to the vendors before selling it in their store and not some corporate buyer.
They don’t get stale in there as I’ve seen them switch vendors which for a small store can be quite pricy to invest in any Big name brand product to be sold in the store and be able claim that you are a «name brand here» dealer.
They also have music lessons here!
I Recommend this place especially if it is local to you. Back in the 80’s there were at least 5 or 6 mom & pop stores between claremont and Azusa that I remember and this one is still here. I am grateful.
If you go to a huge store and check things out for the prices keep in mind the actual convenience in locality, the Real customer service as well as what it offers in services via technicians and instructors before you make your purchase and whose community it actually serves.

Took my electric guitar in for some repairs I had no prior experience with their shop so I was taking a chance. My first visit I needed a refret which is no small job and very costly wherever you go. They handled it perfectly! Great job, trust was built. Next visit some months later I needed a new nut on the same guitar no question I would have them do it. Now my beloved guitar is in tip top shape thanks to Styles music. Give them a chance you won’t be disappointed, they are very friendly and helpful people. I’m using my wife’s profile I don’t have one.

They let me test the equipment in the store before I bought it! It doesn’t get any better than that!

Great place and really knowledgable staff. REALLY helped me out with the problem I had. Total lifesavers. Would recommend to anyone, even those who weren’t in my situation. Really really really saved me.

After calling ahead to discuss a possible guitar purchase I was pleasantly surprised how friendly and knowledgeable Gregg was. I Drove down next day to pickup said guitar ended up with two. Amazingly Great personal customer service and will be back. Why? because of Gregg’s helpfulness and professionalism certainly are worth the drive! I don’t know the owners however Greggs attitude and vast knowledge are why I drove 5 hours round trip to do biz with your store.

Came in with a old guitar that my brother got at a yard sale. The staff here are very passionate and helpful! Defiantly recommend to music lovers out there! Will defiantly come back!

Outstanding service. Styles is an institution in this area. I recently moved back to the area and its great to see they’re still going strong.

I went in to solicit some information on an old Silvertone mandolin and inquire about possibly repairing/​replacing some tuning gears (I don’t know much about mandolins because I don’t play ‘em). The person I spoke with — I believe it was Lou, Jr. — was extremely helpful. After giving me some options and looking up parts, his recommendation was to leave it in its vintage (stock) condition — and he even referred me to another music store that he felt may serve those needs best. It was very refreshing to talk with a businessman with the integrity to place my best interest over what would have been a decent chunk of change in both parts and repair work. My family has been coming here for years (band for the kids & my guitar hobby), and there’s little wonder why we continue returning. You’re a class act, Styles Music! I’m coming back for a ukulele soon — I do play that (badly)! Thanks for everything!

Great local music shop! The prices here are amazing, my acoustic guitar needed some tlc and this was the first and only place I thought to bring it to. They have a wide variety of guitars and basses and Lou is very helpful and sweet!

Literally the best music store with amazing employees that know their ish. If you’re looking for quality service from people who are caring and are genuinely seeking your best interest, this is the place :) highly recommend stopping here before you head over to the big name places because styles probably has what you’re looking for at the same or better price.

I have been coming here since I was 13 yrs old. Seems like I spent my childhood and adolescent years there. They are all great guys and give great service! Before you spend your money at guitar center check this place out first. You may find what u need at a great price!
