Sunset Motel

Pricey cheap motel for hookers. Can’t believe we paid $ 110 for this dump. There is a glass window at the check in desk, that should be a red flag. Lady at the front desk was rude upon arrival. When we walked into the room, first thing we noticed was that the beds had a different comforter, one was white and the other was floral pattern. The room had a bit of a funky smell and felt like a sauna. I’m not sure if the a/​c worked. We then proceeded to google reviews and realized that the motel is off mission where all the hookers come out at night. We were two young ladies and didn’t feel safe. After being in the room for a few minutes, we booked another hotel for $ 6 less in a much nicer area. It was a huge upgrade. We lasted in the room for about ten minutes and found a Unilocal review where someone was able to get a refund. We attempted to get a refund. The rude lady at the front desk turned out to be the manager. She raised her voice and wouldn’t back down. We attempted to find an 800 number but the cheap motel did not have a website. I still have been unable to get in touch with the owner to get my money back.

If I can give this zero stars I would. The front desk and owners are rude and don’t believe in customer service. The rooms are DIRTY! The neighborhood is pretty bad, the parking lot felt unsafe. We showed up and asked for a refund as soon as we saw what we got ourselves into and they refused to give it to us. After going back and forth they still kept the money and we moved on to a different hotel. I have never had an experience like this, I do not know how they are in business. I

I seriously only downloaded this app just so I could warn people of this place. At first it looked like a decent motel especially for the price we were paying but then our toilet was stuffed up and over flowed the first time we tried to use it and our room got infested by ants so we had to be switched rooms. Then the second day a bunch of cops showed up to the motel (which was the least of our complaints) and when we went to take a shower we discovered roaches were coming out of the pipes. To top it off management was incredibly rude and seemed peeved that WE were upset about anything. Will definitely never go there again.

This is the worst place you can stay at. It’s a crack heads weekend get away. Room smells like smoke no hot water the the Patel’s at the front desk are morons. It’s a family owned place and they play stupid.

holy smokes. cockroach motel under the sink and old, used party cups in the cabinets. You get what you pay for. And it sounded like that dude two rooms over got what he paid for too, if you know what I mean.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. How it 3.4 positive review is beyond me. Paris, the manager is a terrible representation of a business man and owner. I traveled from Orinda, Ca and was wrongly generalized because I am a young person. I booked a reservation at this place for NYE and was judged to be a party starting stoner. Paris even said to me, I must be high if I’m not comprehending and so he doesn’t want to be tricked by me because he knows I just want to party. I honestly was flabbergasted by the hasty generalizations of this guy Paris and furthermore given an unasked for refund and was told to stay elsewhere. I am young but educated and had no intentions of partying at such a motel. This place is clearly anti young people not to mention the community is repulsing. I wouldn’t stay a night at this place if you paid me. Spend your hard earn money elsewhere

Clean, good service, very nice people. No mirrors on the ceiling. No bed bugs. No bugs period. Just a nice, clean place to sleep after the Rob Zombie concert! I will for sure stay there next year!

Service bad! The guy at the front desk would come out with one eye closed. Room had bug traps everywhere and something in the bed because I got up with all kinds of bites on my body. And no hot water for showering. NEVER STAYING HERE AGAIN!!!

Ok so let’s get the fact outta the way this place is in Pomona. However, if you are in Pomona and looking for a cool place to stay where the staff are friendly, this is it. This isn’t a 5-​star place but it doesn’t need to be. The staff were great, and accommodating. Bottom line, if I’m ever in Pomona, I’ll stay here.

Ok, keep in mind that this place is a. In Pomona, b. Off mission, c. Has a mirror on the ceiling and d. Has porn on several
channels. With that in mind: this place rules! The reason I say this is because we came here after a concert at the Fox theater with literally about 30 other people (metal heads, drinking in the parking lot, blasting music, being wasted). We basically took over the hotel that night and they did not call the cops or complain. I spoke with the owner/​manager the next morning and he was super cool. He even said that «people should live their lives and have fun, as long as no one is causing trouble (fights, drugs etc)». He then gave my car a jump start and was the most pleasant guy ever. The rooms actually arent even bad. They have a refrigerator and are clean. Warning: if you are a huge pussy, a yuppie, or a narc, go somewhere else (good luck finding anything decent in the area though). If you are a budget traveler and just need a place to drunkenly pass out, come here. Plus, it’s way nicer than motel 6 and every other pile of crap on mission or holt, trust me. There is also a killer bar across the street.
