26 Degree Brewing Company

Place was huge. Live music was good. Beers were okay nothing great nothing bad. Bartenders weren’t very engaging, took awhile to get there attention for beer, they place wasn’t that busy for the amount of staff on.

Wait a minute, this place is next to a Flanigan’s?! Oh em gee!!!
I love 26 Degrees! From the atmosphere, to their beers. I came here during a Unilocal Event, unbeknownst to us. I ordered a flight of beers to try them out, as I am no longer a beer person. Tis The Siason was my definite favorite.
I like how big this place is, it’s not as crowded as Funky Buddha but still lively. I would definitely recommend this place for a big party because there is a lot of room for seating without feeling like you’re on top of one-​another.

I’ve officially found my new go-​to brewery! They have a great selection of beers, and a great staff that will talk you through the menu and make suggestions based on your beer preferences. The interior is a wide open floor space with tall and small tables and chairs. You can also order food from a local pizzeria/​other restaurants from the menu or pick up food and bring it in to eat.
My personal favorites were the Ziko’s Rage (imperial stout), Watermelon Hefeweizen and the Brumous (Winter Warmer)!

Let me preface this review by saying that I’m glad Pompano is getting more locally-​owned businesses. This city is doing a great job of revitalizing itself, and it’s high time it gets recognition for it. 26 Degree Brewing is undoubtedly a part of that growth, and brings the city a higher profile (along with my favorite brewery, Bangin’ Banjo in west Pompano).
That being said, I just haven’t really liked 26 Degree all that much. I’ve tried quite a few of their beers, both the seasonal options and the standard ones. They’ve been fine, but none have really impressed me. My go-​to beer has always been Hefeweizens, so I was surprised to find I honestly didn’t like their version here (called the Captain Ron).
One of the first things anyone notices upon walking in here is how spacious it is inside. This used to be a Bealls Outlet department store, the bulk of which has been taken over for the brewery itself. Even so, the bar area is quite spread out, and doesn’t have much character. It’s a bit too industrial and sterile-​looking for my tastes. Other area breweries, like LauderAle and Funky Buddha, are large inside as well, yet feel more welcoming with more décor.
In my visits here, I haven’t been overly wowed by the service either. Most recently, I came here for trivia, and upon asking for a table number at the bar (which they state on the menu to do if you’re ordering food from one of the nearby restaurants), the lady behind the counter said to me in an accusing tone, «You can’t bring outside drinks in here.» I was a bit taken back by this. «Um, I wasn’t going to? I just want to order food.» She still looked at me like she didn’t really trust me, and repeated herself, saying if we ordered food from the restaurants, we weren’t allowed to order drinks from them. Then I realized why she thought this: an older couple came in, Diet Coke bottles in hand, and sat next to the table where my mom and I were seated. She assumed we knew them and were therefore going to do the same thing. I told her I had no idea who they were, and she dropped it. I didn’t exactly appreciate the accusatory tone. Upon asking a different bartender for a soda for my mom, since she doesn’t drink beer, I was told they only had bottled water, root beer and cream soda (which were some fancy bottled brands that cost $ 4). Look, you don’t want outside beverages in here, fine. But at least go to Costco and buy cans of Coke and sell them for double the price. As it was, my mom ended up just staying thirsty the whole time because she didn’t drink any of the offerings they did have, and wasn’t «allowed» to ask for a can of Coke from the place where we ordered food.
I do want them to do well, since I want any locally-​owned business to succeed. I will give this place another shot, and hope that perhaps I’ve just happened to visit on off nights. Maybe next time I’ll have a more positive experience than what I’ve had so far.

I have passed 26 Degree Brewing Company driving to the beach a million times, and I even remember running into them at a food and drink festival before they even opened (though I can’t remember which festival). It took me awhile to finally stop in, but the Unilocal games after party finally brought me here. Parking is pretty easy in this plaza as I was informed it used to be a department store, so there’s plenty of space. I was impressed with the inside. It is very large with high top tables, round tables, lots of bar space, in other words there plenty of room to get a beer and relax rather than have to stand around. It was a little tricky at first getting attention at the bar but the bartenders were great running around serving everyone.
I looked over the tap list and while I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have any obviously super girly beers so I ordered the only fruity one I saw, the Lemon Drop Hefeweizen. I will say while I would prefer if it tasted much more like a sweet girly lemon drop drink, I was happy with it. The lemon flavor was definitely there with some tartness, but there was also the distinct wheat beer flavor. For my next drink I decided to look over their wine list and was happy to find they had quite a few options for a brewery and ended up ordering a yummy red wine. I think I was happier with the wine than the beer, but that is typical for me.
There was a band playing as the night went on, and they also have a game room with darts, corn hole, and giant jenga. With a food truck outside for snacks this is a great place to bring a large group. They may not have all the girly beers, but they have wine and cider to satisfy those who aren’t as hop oriented. I’m excited to keep following this brewery as I’m sure new flavors will come out over time, and eventually I won’t be ordering wine here anymore, but for now it’s a great laid back atmosphere with plenty of space and activities (not to mention beer) to keep you happy all night long.

A wonderful addition to the east Pompano Beach area and a worthy competitor to the many other breweries opening in South Florida. Being that I am not a beer drinker, I am not basing this review on beer but rather on ambiance and service.
The décor is modern, open and very spacious, maybe a bit too spacious if the place is not too busy, it would help to break up some of the space into different areas so that it doesn’t feel like an empty warehouse if its a quiet night, however the open layout works quiet well when its very busy, maybe they should find a way to compromise between creating a more intimate setting for smaller groups while still keeping an airy open layout. There is a large bar, regular chair and tables, and half booths and against the back wall, and there are lots of large screen TV’s through out. They also have board games like connect four, Jenga, live trivia and live bands depending on the night.
The menu consists of a large variety of their craft beer, like Ales, IPAs, Lagers, Stouts and more. They also offer a wine menu for us non-​beer drinkers, while the selection is small they have a few sparkling wines, reds and whites. Like most breweries they do not offer a food menu however they have food menus and contact information for the nearby restaurants which will gladly deliver. I was there with a large party and service was extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. This is a great brewery and it’s perfect for larger groups.

Admittedly I know very little about beer, but am trying to learn. What better place to learn but at brewery, right? Right, well sorta.
26 Degrees is huge brewery in Pompano Beach. The inside definitely could some updating: it’s clean and everything but there is no vibe whatsoever. I know the place hasn’t been open that long so maybe it’s something they’re working on.
They had a band playing on Saturday night which were pretty decent.
I asked the bartender if I could get s flight and the cost– $ 8.50 which I thought was a good price. I then asked if she could help me pick out some beers. Thinking she would ask me what kinds of flavors I like: sours, stouts, wheat or anything, she said well we have standard flights you can pick from. Ok I thought, just go with the basic maybe it’ll be easier? I got the easy drinking flight. She handed me the flight and left to wait on other customers. What I didn’t enjoy about the flight is that I didn’t know which beer was which– nothing was labeled and I wasn’t sure which way she put them on the flight to know what beer I was drinking. If I liked one, how do I let her know which one it was? Even more unfortunate was that I didn’t like any of the beers on the flight.
On a better note: they have a food truck outside and parking here is a breeze.

Lately I have been visiting a lot of breweries. We seem to have so many popping up now all over town. I have seen 26 degrees a few times but never had a chance until recently to stop in. It’s located just off of Atlantic in a long strip mall/​plaza like so many other places in Florida. There is a ton of parking and it is really close to the beach so I can imagine coming in here for a cold beer after a hot day. This was not the case the night I visited as it was closer to 45 degrees outside and freezing for this Florida girl lol!
It was just after an event so there was a lot of us piling in to grab some beers. They had a food truck set up outside and plenty of table’s available inside to accommodate everyone. It was very brightly lit and a very large and open space. The bar was really big and almost stretched the lengths of the back wall. They also had live music that night and I thought that was a nice addition. I always love listening to live music anytime especially when I am out drinking.
I decided to go with the Lemon Drop Hefe and I really loved it. It was ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ at the table as some people hated it and others like me really loved it. So I guess you would have to try it yourself. I thought the lemon flavor was perfect and it didn’t have an overpowering beer flavor. I ended up drinking two so I really enjoyed it. It was a cool place to hang out and chill and if I were in the area again I would come back.

It’s pretty clear by now that BPB loves their beer, so after a nearby Elite event, it only made sense for the after party to head over to 26 Degrees!
I’d driven by 26 a few times so I already knew how big it was (supposedly this used to be a Bealls store) but it’s not until you enter that you really get a sense of how big it is. Plus they are using the majority of the space for the actual Brewery, so it’s even bigger than meets the eye! The good thing about the space and the location is the parking, there’s lots of it! So even on a busy Saturday night at 9/​10pm I had no problem getting a spot.
The interior reminded me somewhat of a nearby brewery, but 26 degrees still has their own uniqueness and we were able to easily grab a large round table for 10. Of course the party was larger than 10, but everyone else grabbed a nearby table and we made it work.
One thing to note — the live music. This was a Saturday, so I don’t know if they have live music every night of the week (I imagine not) but it was a nice change of pace. Others who had been here before noted that previous visits were unbearably loud, not so much on this visit, and it was easy to talk to the group with the live music in the background, so I assume they’ve employed some sound dampening measures.
Beer — so yeah, none of the beers worked for me. I tried a sip of the only one that sounded appealing on this given night, a lemon hefeweizen, but it wasn’t my taste. Luckily they do offer wine so I went with a sparkling split. 1.3 glasses of fun and then I headed home, so a grand total of $ 7.42 + tip… wasn’t a bad night out lol.
Food — as most breweries, they don’t have any. But the menu for the food truck parked outside was on most tables, and the actual 26 degree menu also listed nearby food options with menu items, prices, phone numbers etc.
Long story short, I’m a fan. Again, no beers for me, but I imagine that could/​will change. They’ve done a good job of taking all the best parts of some of the local breweries and melding them all in one spot.

We noticed this new-​ish brewery on the way to our resort on a recent trip, so of course we had to check it out.
It’s got most of the things I love about breweries — big, open spaces (it looks like a cleared-​out former grocery store), a game room and, of course, lots of beer on tap.
I got a flight, while the wife had a brown IPA. The beer was good but not spectacular. The brown IPA was interesting and different, and the regular IPA was tasty. I wasn’t a huge fan of the stout or the saison. Many of the beers on the menu were lighter in ABV, including a porter that was under 4 percent, which seems kind of pointless. Those should be full-​bodied beers, though I guess you don’t need dark beers to warm you up in Florida.
There’s no food here, but there are food trucks outside every night. Our bartenders were friendly. The big drawback for us was that they had a lame cover band playing at the brewery on the Friday night we showed up. It’s fine if you want to big dumb covers of songs like «Sweet Home, Alabama,» I guess (it’s not really fine, but I’m trying to be nice). The problem was that the acoustics in the building were terrible and the band was so loud that it was hard to have a conversation. We sat as far away as possible, and the music was still far too loud. No one really seemed to care about the band, anyway, as most people come to a brewery to chill out and talk.
It’s probably a better atmosphere on nights when the band isn’t playing. You can’t beat the location, which is close to the beach in Pompano. If you’re really into great beer, you’d be much better off going to Funky Buddha a few miles away. But it’s nice to have more options in the area.

26 degree one of the newer breweries on the block. Me and my boyfriend stumbled upon this brewery when exploring pompano before going to use a lunch groupon. We figured to grab a beer and we liked this spot so much we stayed for a couple hrs.
I got a flight to try. They have a menu of flights already preselected or you can create your own. I created my own. I thought the beers were good but nothing really sung to me. Then I asked for a taste of the lemon drop which is a special beer they have right now. I was expecting not to like it as I really do not like fruity beers. This was the the best fruity beer I have ever had. The lemon was perfect and not overpowering making this beer dangerously drinkable. It also wasn’t shy on abv if I remember 6.5%.
We decided to check the space out and I must say this was the most family friendly brewery. We were there on new yrs day and there were a lot of families there with young kids.
Then we noticed a door next to the bar saying beer patio now opened. We walked in with apprehension as it seemed like we were walking into the main part of the brewery. Then we realized it was roped off to the side of the tanks and this space was there with two picnic tables, a corn hole set, a foozball table, and two dart boards. We spent the rest of the time playing darts and hanging out there.
They do not have food or food trucks. They offer menus of the local restaurants that deliver and they are ok with people bringing their own food.
Overall 26 degree is a geat new brewery to add to the bpb craft beer scene.

12÷26− Very impressed at all the décor additions to this place from when we came in during their opening week. My favorite was the huge Lincoln painting on the left corner wall. It was also nicely decorated for the holidays.
Its a huge space, reminds me of Funky Buddha. We sat on one of the high tops by the entrance. Great to people watch. The customer service is great, very attentive staff. You do not get one person but many as they pass by, good team work.
We ordered the Sesh on the Beach, IPA. Surprisingly enough, it wasn’t too hoppy, smooth beer. I didn’t see any food trucks, but they have some restaurants near by that you can order takeout and deliver straight there.
They seemed to be very busy. It’s becoming very popular which is great. There was a band that was too loud for me. Being such a big place, the noise traveled. They need better sound barriers.
Overall, nice brewery, great for groups!

A wide selection of beer brewed on the premises.
Just didn’t like the ambiance. It felt like drinking beer in an empty Lowes.
Guys get some artwork and sound proofing and a kitchen.
Those with allergy sensitivities beware as the unpasteurized beer triggered intense allergic reaction for wife.

I’ve been here a couple of times and like this place, and the beer options. I’ll typically grab a spot at the bar and grab a couple of flights. Lots of large screen TV’s to watch whatever sports are on TV.
They also have a food menu from restaurants in the neighborhood that will deliver right to you. I ordered a pizza from Pasquale’s pizza during one sitting.
I like the spaciousness and yet the sense of warmth. This place has the feeling of a local corner bar even though it’s a rather large facility. The bartender behind the bar appears to be very knowledgeable of and excited about the beer products he sells.
Like a lot of micro brewery places, you can pass time playing board games. They also have plenty of seating.
Will work this place into my routine.

The location of this place is easy to get to, plenty of parking, and the interior is great. Perfect for large groups.
From what I understand they are still perfecting their recipes, and some beers are much better than others. For instance, their IPAs were better than a hefeweizen I tried.
Staff is nice, the place is excellent, and their are menus everywhere so you don’t have to ask or wonder what is on draft. They also give you a few places to call in for food or there is a Publix across the street.

They don’t serve food. Which is always my first question when going to these type of micro breweries. They said eventually they will have a food truck rotation, but not set up yet.

THE PLACE
Wow! This is by far the largest and nicest brewery I have been to in the area. Walking in I was shocked at how expansive it was. Not to mention the size of their brewing area and vats.
The really went all in to make this place look rustic industrial. From the rough wood tables to the ceiling beams to the plumbing shutoffs for bathroom sink. Very impressed with the look. I am not usually that excited about décor, but they did a great job.
There is plenty of seating and a huge bar too.
There is a stage for bands, which look to start around 8pm. I was here after work, so didn’t stick around for music.
Oh, the name, 26 degrees. Not the temperature the brew at. Not the temperature the serve the beer. Not the angle of fermentation. It is the latitude of Pompano Beach.
THE BEER
Brewmaster’s Flight
Intercostal is a double IPA, hoppiness in a glass
Scotch Ness like a smoky dark ale with a little sweetness
Brown Eye clear overripe raisins taste with a hint of hops on finish.
Was reluctant to try something called a «Brown Eye». But it is super good.
Ziko’s Rage is an Imperial Stout, but I would say closer to milk Stout.
THE STAFF
We were waited on by several staff members. So doesn’t look like you get a single server. Anyone that walks by can and will help you. Excellent service.
SUMMARY
This place has great beer, great staff, great location so I expect them to do very well. I am sure I will be back many times.

One of the new craft beer breweries that has recently sprouted up in the South Florida area, 26 Degree is located at what used to be an old Winn Dixie supermarket right next to Bealls and a Flanigan’s. When you walk in you are immediately taken aback by the sheer size of the brewery. It is a very cavernous hall with tables and booths spread out which does not make the brewery so crowded, even though there were a lot of people there. We started with the Brewmaster flight, which consisted of the following:
Pompano Heff (wheat beer with a hint of banana)
Scotch Ness Monster (scotch ale with hints of caramel and smoky flavors)
The Brown Eye (brown IPA which had flavors of caramel and toffee)
Ziko’s Rage (Russian Imperial Stout)
Out of all the 4 my preference was the Brown Eye (I’m partial to IPA’s), Ziko’s Rage, Pompano Heff (not because of the wheat but rather the banana flavor) and Scotch Ness
After we tried the flight, I went and ordered the MEXziko’s Rage, which was just released and consists of the Ziko’s Rage but with jalapeño peppers mixed in. It was good but not something I would order it again.
They also have the standard cornhole game that is at every brewery. The only reason 26 Degree gets four stars is that the service was lacking this night which kind of put it on a down note
On the positive side, since this brewery is next to Flanigan’s that means that you could order food from Flanigan’s food truck outside which was brought inside. Too bad I had a big dinner before because if not, I would have been all over the Flanigan’s food
Overall, I would come back here and try some more of their beers.

I have said this in the past, and I will say it again, I am very happy our local craft beer scene is growing so rapidly!
I was able to visit this brewery the second day they were open, and this place was packed with beer enthusiasts of all ages. This is by far one of the biggest breweries I have seen (not counting Funky Buddha and Due South) it seems that this establishment was a market or some sort of grocery store because of its structure. The space is very open, and the décor was kept simple and industrial. On one side of the brewery they have an assortment of games like boochie ball, and also a record machine that is controlled by the customers.
The staff was very friendly and attentive to every customer. The beer I had that night was their Russian Imperial Stout, and I was very pleased with it. It was very boozy, yet you could taste the sweetness from the chocolate, and bitterness from the coffee. I really enjoyed my beer, but I will have to point out that the music was bit too loud. I understand customers are the ones controlling the music, but at points during the night I felt like I was in a club rather than a brewery.
I can’t wait until they make more stouts and porters, and for their facilities to offer tours. Best of luck to this new local project!

To think that this location used to be a Winn-​Dixie when my Mom grew up here, and then it was a Beall’s when I grew up here. Now I’m so happy to see a brewery take it’s space. The interior of this brewery is huge. There is no outdoor space but they have plenty of space inside and a small stage for bands to perform. The menu is average sized, there were 8 beers the day that I was there. I really hope it’ll grow soon.
They were happy to allow us to sample a couple beers before we made our final choice. Their IPA is really hoppy, and light bodied. The Brown IPA was actually really pleasantly balanced, I loved the subtle resin flavor and its smooth, slightly sweet, nutty taste. The Scotch Ale/​Wee Heavy is really robust with lots of malt, and slightly smokey. And I loved Ziko’s Rage Imperial Stout which tasted like a strong roasted coffee.
The service was fantastic, everyone there was relaxed and happy to help. I’m going to keep an eye on them and wait for some new brews to be released. I really hope they do well.

With no identity or how to identify this place I was hopping for a lot more. Place is big, loud, and plain. Friends and I decided to pay this place a visit since we are huge fans of Craft Beer, with expectation set and ready to glorify this gigantic brewery (compare to the other local ones) I feel like they let me down.
I usually like to order a flight when on my first time on a brewery, but I guess they weren’t ready yet and the bartender mentioned that they will have some next week. I didn’t come back the week after so I really don’t know any adjustments on their operations. With a vibe of a bar more than a brewery with lots of screens, and very loud music playing on the background made it a little bit difficult to communicate with friends.
Since they didn’t have flights I only tried their A1AIpa and their scotch Ale. I have to say their Ipa was a great surprise the tropical aroma and the hops on from with a pine taste at the end made this beer a very refreshing experience. Their scotch ale was on point as well. My wife got their Russian Imperial Stout which I don’t think was very good, very thin and too malty I will give it a shot again and let it warm up before I drink it, I can see maybe how an oak version of this would work better.
Overall ok place, they have a lot work to do. I may stop again, but I don’t see myself going back anytime soon, but if you ever been there and give it a shot, maybe after seen some other reviews and see the improvement I will go back. Good luck to you guys on your journey
