Hotel amenities and beach were great. The only downside was that our ocean view room was only ocean view if you were basically falling over the balcony. Also, the room-to-hallway sound was extremely loud. Literally as soon as anyone said a word in the hall you could hear it. Oh, and don’t expect your room to be ready before 3. Not even by 5 minutes.
Pools were great. Tiki bar and beach service were great.
Not too bad of a vacation.

Being this my first visit to this hotel I will not stay anywhere else in Pompano nor Ft. Lauderdale. Upon arrival Margaret at the front desk was more than accommodating. She was pleasant and because of of our early arrival on our plane she made sure we were able to get an early check-in because of my traveling friend staying with me who does PD dialysis to make sure she could do it in time. The oceanfront room is the best choice you can make and the balcony overlooking the ocean and palm trees made it even more great! Breakfast on the beach was superb and not expensive at all. Staying at a so-called «resort» last year in Ft. Lauderdale was no comparison to Beachcomber. Will be back for sure next year… Thank you all for such a wonderful stay!!!

After having a gorgeous time with the romance package for my husband and I honeymoon I was very pleased with everything! View was perfect,
Only cons: Room service food wasn’t the best in the morning. The dinner for two on the beach service wasn’t good at all.
I will return though! Gorgeous location!

There are few restaurants where I pay over $ 20 a dish and habe been so disappointed. I will give them a star for their mudslide and a star because the reason the service is so slow seems to have a root cause in management. Since the waitress seemed to have to walk to far off parts of the property to get drinks, instead of the expected in a din room of them coming to her or us. also our water glasses were filled once in the hour we were there.
We went there two times today and that was a mistake. On the recommendation of a family member.
We went to the inside resturant because they didn’t hand walk up openings outside. We expressed that we wanted the buffet and were seated and told to wait for our waitress. After 8 minutes the waitress came over and asked us if we wanted the buffet or menus. We said buffet and were sent onor way to get food.
After round 1 we waited over 10 minutes for tickets to go for another round at the buffet. During thistoner or waitress didn’t stop by once and ignored a wave for attention.
We ordered drinks with the next round and finished our meal before the drink showed up. We then waited another 15 minutes to ask for our check. At which time the credit card machine stopped working so we just paid in cash since we had been there for over an hour for a quick buffet lunch.
Later we stopped by for drinks since the one we had earlier was quite good.
We got a mudslide, Margarita and a Key Lime Colada. Mudslide was totally melted and speterated. Key lime thing was not edible. Waitress apologized that the melted and. seperate Margarita didn’t have the salt requested because it had melted.

The property is awesome. Big tiki hut with about 30 tables right on beach, plus two hammocks
Inside bar big. HH 4 – 6. Half off well and beer. Small tiki bar outside by pool. It really looks loverly.

Nice pool, tiki bar and restaurant. Right on the beach. Mid week it’s nice and empty and no wait at the bar or food service. Only down side is you can’t rent beach equipment if you are not staying at the hotel.

My husband and I spent the week at beachcombers. The staff were friendly and our room was small but nice and clean. I loved that they had two pools and The Ocean Grill had really great ambience, especially at sunset. I hope to stay here again.

I am in love with this property! On a beautiful sunny Sunday that was the perfect place to enjoy the ocean, the wind, the sand… The perfect place to relax, talk, walk, drink.
There is a Tiki restaurant located close to the pool with an incredible view of the beach with tables on the sand. Our order consisted of Iced teas and Calamari that came fresh and on a bed of greens. It all happened with a live singer singing beach tunes which made everything even nicer. Our server was extremely attentive making sure we always had cold tea and that we had everything we needed.
I noticed that they also have service on the sand, so you can go to the beach and enjoy the hotel service close to the sea! The atmosphere was happy, family oriented, and extremely relaxed.
Am I coming back? Oh yes! I will certainly enjoy the beach and their service!

Not bad for the cost. I wouldn’t consider this resort upscale by any means, but it is clean, next to the beach (good views from the patio), and has friendly folks working there. I do have some complaints about the checkin process. We got there at 11 and were told that our room wouldn’t be ready until 3 but that we could check in and they’d give us a call if it was ready earlier. Fair enough. We went bar hopping and never did receive that call. Upon returning, the folks working the front desk (new shift) acted perplexed when I told them we had checked in steady and made us check in again. Little communication between shifts, I guess.

The property at the resort is beautiful and well maintained the staff are extremely accommodating and friendly. The beach is clean, and well-maintained. My only complaint would be the prices of the food and drinks. Upon arrival I purchased two drinks from the tiki bar, and the total was around $ 22! other than the prices for food and drinks I would absolutely recommend this resort, in fact my family are in the process of planning the trip here for next year.

The hotel and beach were very nice. Bartenders we’re cool and I enjoyed my stay. I’m happy with my vacation and accommodation.
The restaurant was a little over priced for what they had to offer but it’s a vacation town so I guess that’s to be expected.

Wonderful location; staff was great! Special thank you to Cindy at the front desk who helped us store our mountain of luggage until the rooms were ready! Two pools and beach access. We had three families with three rooms all with ocean view! Priceless! We ate most meals at the outside part of the restaurant; food was good, a little pricey but the kids menu was reasonable. We only stayed two night; however if we ever get back out this way we will definitely stay here again!

I would give 3.5 if I could. I found the beachcomber wanting to be an upscale hotel, but lacking in a couple areas. They must have done a renovation a few years back and probably did about 80% of the room. For example, furniture is all pretty nice and balcony is awesome, views are good also. But, if you’re going to add granite to the bathroom why leave the toilet from the 70’s and an old stained tub? It’s the details that make a good hotel a great one. And here, they haven’t paid attention to the details.
Being a beach hotel, sand is eveywhere, just another example of how a little extra cleaning effort would help push this to being a 5 star hotel.
All in all, an inexpensive stay and a pretty decent room for the money. But don’t kid yourself, even though there are a few upscale touches, this is not the Ritz.
By the way, wifi sucks and the cable reception is awful. Normally being at the beach I wouldn’t care, because I’d be enjoying the outdoor activities. Unfortunately since I’m here for work, I’m using the Internet and TV more than I normally would because I’m mostly here at night. Thankfully my phone can be a Hotspot or I would be in trouble.

We had a great stay at this hotel. We are locals and visit at least once a year.
The location is great. The hotel is a little older but the rooms are modern, clean and comfortable.
On this visit it started of a little ruff when we got to our room it was very small. We called down stairs s d the explained that room sized vary. Although the hotel was at high capacity the found us a bigger room.
We decided to stay and extra day but the were very full so we had to leave the room we were in. However Margaret at the front desk worked very hard in the morning of the day we were suppose to check out to get us another room (might I add witty a better view).
The staff is very friendly, they have two pools and great place for family with kids. The also have a very good restaurant under a tiki hut with a great ocean. Thank you again Margaret.

Loved. This. Hotel!!! I stayed here for a three night staycation with my best friend. We wanted a hotel with a view of the beach and weren’t disappointed. We had the first floor balcony and it was great!!! No hassle dealing with an elevator, nice view, gorgeous ocean breeze.
The pool was beautiful and the staff was helpful. We had some issues with the air that were dealt with immediately.
I cannot wait to come back here again!

This is my heaven on Earth! I love the Beachcomber, I live less than half hour away and anytime I just need to get away, «escape» for a little bit, I run away to the Beachcomber. They coconut shrimp is my definition of comfort food, it’s fantastic and the location, view and staff are stupendous!

I was awaken early by the sound of power tools, I received a knock on the door by hotel security and a phone call promptly after. I spoke to a lady at the front desk who was very rude and told me I would be charged another night if I was not out in 10 minutes. (This was at 10:50am) transferred me to joe who was just as rude on the phone.
The customer service issues really need to be dealt with, Joe and the lady at the front do not approach that job with any passion, it’s just a job to them and they make that clear.
After having to be shaken out of the room in 10 minutes waiting for the construction update on my house, I was forced to wait in my car in the parking lot and decided to check in to another hotel.
This was a nightmare experience. It is bad enough to have a house under construction and have to sleep in a hotel. The fact that I had security knock on my door and 2 people call me and treat me like a jerk is not fair, this completely ruined my day if not my week.

Fun beach hotel in a great location. My Mom and i went for a week and were very happy with location, room and service. The pool attendants were very attentive. The restaurant wAs a little pricey but convenient so worth it! Grounds could have been a little better kept saw the same trash in the same place a few days in a row but nothing that would keep me from coming back. Oh and hotel staff had zero recommendations for anything in the area. We asked at least 10 different staff for restaurant and shopping referrals and no one knew where to go. We almost felt like they were not allowed to refer us off property. Will definitely be back!

The hotel was lovely. My only complaint was that we requested a high level beach view room and we were placed on the 1^st floor… upon check in and check out someone commented on how our reservation requested a high floor but we were on the 1^st floor. At check-in they tried to move us I guess, but nothing was available. We were really looking forward to that balcony view of the ocean so we were pretty disappointed when we got this news. The landscaping was beautiful around the hotel, very relaxing. There was a wedding the night we were there but it wasn’t too loud and didn’t seem to go on very late which was nice, i think the sound of the ocean tuned it out.
