Best Way Auto Transport

WARNING — CLASSIC RIP OFF ARTISTS –BEST TRANSPORT IS THE VERY DEFINITION OF HIGHWAY ROBBERS !!
I contacted Ellery of Best Way Auto Transport in February, 2010 to transport my mother’s car from Fort Lauderdale, FL to Massachusetts. I was quoted a price of $ 425. I agreed to pay the price to transport the car from FL to MA at the end of March. In mid-​March Best Transport contacted my mother to confirm the pick up and the price of $ 625 (200 more than the agreed upon rate). When questioned about the increase in rate Kim Foster of Best Way Auto Transport said «Oh no — Ellery must have thought you were talking about going from MA to FL. There is no way we can transport a car from FL to MA in March for $ 425 — Best Way Auto Transport wouldn’t make any money — call around see if you can find a better price !». Since it was critical that we have the car transported — my mother was flying to MA at the end of March we sucked it up and paid the ‘increase’ of $ 200. Long story short — in the middle of March we could not start looking for an auto transport from FL to MA at the end of March — so Best Way Auto Transport ripped us off $ 200 and Best Way Auto Transport blamed their inept employee Ellery on a ‘mistake’. I would go out of my way to not use Best Way Auto Transport and am reporting them to the FL State Attorney and the FL Better Business Bureau. DO NOT USE BEST WAY AUTO TRANSPORT UNLESS YOU ENJOY BEING RIPPED OFF.
