Had a great experience at this nursery today, my wife and I got great service from Pamela. She personally helped us and took us around in her cart to load up a couple carts full of plants. You can tell she loves her job and it shows, Hopefully the Nu Turf owner realizes they have a great employee that cares, this is hard to find today.

These guys are awesome! Eddie was the sweet gentleman that helped me figure out what I wanted and needed since I showed up with not much knowledge or an idea of what would work for my little space on the beach. He showed me many different plants shrubs trees and flowers to give me lots of options in many different price points.
I’m looking forward to mastering the two shrubs that I have brought home with me, and I will be back for more in the future!

I’ve been coming here with my father since I was kid. This place used to be my little wonderland. I would take my camera and snap hundreds of pictures of flowers as my dad shopped for his landscaping.
Having purchased a home in the past year, I returned to do some plant shopping and it’s still exactly the same. There are tons of plants here, if you don’t find it, go to the front desk and ask. They will be happy to help, and I’m sure they can order anything that you need.
When I asked about a specific plant they thought was on site, they took us on the golf cart and searched for the plant that I requested. Although they did not have the plant I requested at the time, they informed me that it would be delivered in the next week and to call back and make sure it arrived before I came back to purchase.
They are really nice and have a lot of options. Pricing is better than one other place that I’ve been to (by about $ 1, which can rack up really quick), but I hear that Sunkiss Nursery down the street is a bit cheaper as well.

If you love gardening, you love seasonal flowers, and Nu Turf has an incredible selection, and most everything is 99 cents a pot. How can you beat that! You should see my beautiful garden, thanks to Nu Turf. If Nu Turf ever goes out of business, I’m moving.

My family has been going to Nu Turf in Pompano, Fl. for over 30 years. We’ve always had a great experience. The staff are very knowledgeable and the quality of all their plants, fruit tree, palm trees and all other shrubs are of the best quality. Over the years we have only bought our plants from Nu Turf. Finding an original nursery in South Florida is a hard item to find. Not like in the 1970’s when nursery’s, strawberry and corn fields ran abundant throughout Dade and Broward Counties.

This is a well groomed agricultural establishment. With a great selection of products. Everything is properly positioned throughout the property, items are labeled and their plants are very healthy looking and colorful. ~ Many people can appreciate the great variety of grass they have for that perfect yard: St. Augustine, Zoysia, Bahia, Centipede grass. Everything is moist, well watered and freshly cut.
Our trip was centered around looking for «Herbs’ for our «Tower Garden». ~ Jackpot! ~ They had a nice array of different herbs and vegetables such as; Collards, Mustard Greens, Poblano Ancho Peppers, ‘Barbecue’ Rosemary, and Jalapeño Peppers that we purchased for aeroponics planting ~ Prices were excellent ~ (see photo’s)
The service is exceptionally friendly ~ answering all your questions and directing you to the items that you are looking for.
This six acre, family owned nursery is an great example of a company that really cares about their products, customer service and repeat business. It is such a pleasure to walk through the vegetation, see what plants or shrubs are currently available and make a purchase. ~ I always leave Nu Turf’s with new landscaping ideas …~

Calling all D.I.Y. weekend warriors, trade pro’s and landscape artists… forget home depot or lowe’s. those stores are overpriced and only sell limited products & brands. The nu-​turf motto: «We offer anything and everything for the do-​it-​yourself landscaper».
if you have a small home project like potting herbs/​plants in mind or even a big commercial landscaping gig, this is the spot for you. It’s 5 acres full of ingredients and employees that will take good care of you. Most weekends, the country boyz food truck is parked out front and selling delicious bbq… makes for a fun and scrumptious experience.
Nu-​turf is a family owned landscape nursery and garden center with a wide variety of tropical plants & trees, sod, fertilizer, pottery, interior foliage, garden supplies and more.

Every employee is friendly, digs their job and enjoys assisting you with your landscape design and even installation. They will diagnose sod or plants problems for you that are caused by things like insects, watering habits and etc.
In summary:
I’m not much of a gardener and I don’t enjoy working in the yard or going to places like home depot… However, coming to nu-​turf is an enjoyable experience. The prices are reasonable and I learn a lot from the employees on each visit and I always want to come back.

Prices & other information is only as good as the person answering the phone. Everytime I call I get a different quote for the same item. On ⁰¹⁄₀₂ I called almost a hundred times it seemed before someone answered the phone. Male who answered stated $ 75 delivery per load & that their trucks can handle 10 yards at a time. Male said only need a days notice. So I call back today for delivery tomorrow & again I have to call multiple times before someone answers. A different male employee picks up & I explain what I need. This time its $ 75/​load for a max total of 6 yards at a time. He says he’ll only charge $ 110 total for delivery to get me a full 10 yards. Just when I pulled out my credit card to pay for 10 yards of topsoil & $ 110 delivery he then says it’ll be $ 150 for delivery. WTF. PLEASE get some uniform pricing & knowledgable staff to represent your company. He refused to honor the two previous quotes for delivery. How is a homeowner supposed to budget when these untrained employees are answering your phones & spitting out whatever info they want.

This place is HUGE!!! They have a great variety of plants and trees and we found exactly what we were looking for.
Jan who helped us was extremely friendly and knowledgable! She went out of her way to help us and wrap our plants for a 4 our travel. We will defiantly be visiting again when we are in town next!

I’ve been in several times over the past four years to get sod. I always come here because the sod is normally 99 cents a piece and thats perfect for me and I live very close to the nursery. They also sell broken bags of mulch for a dollar, but today they were out of the mulch as someone got there before me and bought it all up. I got a few pieces of sod to fill in the dead spots in my front yard and was grateful to have had Jackson wait on me. He is a god loving, kind man who was very courteous and pleasant. I will always return for my sod and hopefully a nice talk with Jackson. Terrance helped me load the sod in the trunk! boy does he work hard. He was a ball of sweat by the time he got to helping me.

bought lichee tree ⁵⁄₈. looked very healthy. had my lawn guy plant this. tree died 2 weeks later. brought in branch as instructed. got nonsense instruction as i googled planting in structions when i got home. lawn guy suggested i call nuturf. got another run around. tree dead. always like to support independent vendor. Nuturf does does not sufficiently stand by quality of product.

Plants look kinda beatup compared to other nurseries. I think they could do a lot better job taking care of their plants. Tie them up or something so they aren’t falling over all the time. Who wants to pay for beatup plants? You might find something there, and it is worth a walk. But, you may want to check out the other local nurseries.
