Pompano Pawn

Wow! I was really impressed with the professionalism and curtesy received from Pompano Pawn. It’s nice to know that there are still places out there that truly care about you and not just the sale. Thanks Keith and Kim.

I met Keith & Kim at the gun show in Ft Lauderdale a couple months a go and what a pleasant experience. They treat you with all the respect and it’s a place where I recommend to all my friends. If they continue running the way that they are doing, they will have my business for many many years.

On a recent visit to the shop, I was amazed at just how much the two owners would ignore me. I walked in with a request for a specific item and it seemed to be that they could have cared less. The 2 folks that I believe own the place were just too entrenched with what ever was way more important than assisting a consumer who had money to spend. That said, I thought maybe they’re just busy… not the case. I was the only one in the tiny store and it appeared that their arrogance is just getting the better of them.
I don’t know if they think they got overlooked for the latest version of «Pawn Stars», but these folks are anything from a reality ready show. If you want to capture a consumer and win the future business, you actually might think about engaging them and speaking with them rather than worry about your text message that the woman at the store was doing… one of the owners I believe.
The very large (read overweight) tattooed man I believe is the other owner and neither one of them made eye contact the entire time I was in there. When I questioned about a price on some other product… WOW was I amazed… they are a gun store as well and they had some ammo that I had interest in… unfortunately, they haven’t received the email that ammo prices have come back down to earth and were overcharging by about 30−40% over current market trends.
They had some of the cheapest made ammo on the planet and simply are out to gouge the consumer.
Bottom line is that a consumer is a consumer… no matter how small the item may be. You have the opportunity to win that customer for life and this place is either just too wealthy (based on their prices, I get it), or they just don’t get it. My guess is the later… I’ll bet that regardless of the limited number of reviews, the Pompano Pawn Shop has upset more than its share of possible consumers and unfortunately have hurt their business tremendously. If they actually read this, my guess is that they would just blow it off in arrogance… shameful…because if they actually put forth a little effort to be civil to each and every customer, they’d probably be one of the wealthiest pawn shops going.
I will never go back their again and I recommend that all potential consumers avoid them at all cost. BTW, they also are at every gun show in South Florida… bet they’re the highest price peeps at that show too.
Recommendation: Avoid at all cost.

HUGE RIPOFF! The prices here are outrageous. They tell you they have the best deals when their guns and especially their ammo are doubled. The staff is really rude and don’t really care about helping. Go pawn/​buy you’re weapons somewhere else.
