Scuba Dive It

My 15-​year-​old son was a little reticent about jumping into scuba diving. I signed him up for an open water course with Kurt at scuba dive it. From start to finish he was professional, thorough, and made my son feel completely comfortable in the water and now he is certified. My son truly did not think he had it in him to do it however Kurt was patient, encouraging, and took safety very seriously. This shop is small and personal and thank God you don’t get the same feel as you do at Dixie Divers and other local shops.

I did an Open Water Certification that I found on Groupon. At first I thought it was going to be a «let me sell you everything I can» kind of gig, but Kurt was very knowledgeable and even after researching equipment, he does have the best price on a lot of things!
I didn’t have a wetsuit going into this since I figured, «I’m not sure if I’ll even like this and besides, it’s Florida– how cold can it be?» — YOU NEED A WETSUIT. Do not even question it! Kurt can hook you up!
As far as the dives and course itself went: I had an absolute blast and learned so much through this course. The lake dives helped prepare the group with the main basics and just getting comfortable under in the water. We were well-​prepared for the ocean dives and everyone unanimously had a great time. The group I trained with was great, which definitely helped. Kurt is definitely a very patient guy, though. I don’t know how he puts up with some people…
I will absolutely be returning to this shop for future dives and hopefully additional courses. It was a fantastic experience and I’m glad I did it.

Pretty disappointed in the outfit. They piggyback on another dive shops boat which I don’t have an issue with. However their information is not updated and their shop location is not what is shown on the receipt which wasted a morning of my time looking for the shop. I needed a partial gear rental which they offered when I booked the dive but they did not bother to show up the morning of the dive and let the boat owner do all the work. They also did not call ahead to let them know we are coming so we had to spend some time figuring out payment and reservation details once we arrived the morning of our dive. It would’ve been much simpler to book through the boat that was actually doing the dive and skipping this middleman. Finally I find their reviews suspect because they offer free dive if you give them good social media reviews. I can say that they do have a good website but aside from that I would go somewhere else.

I am doing the advance open water certification with Kurt at Scuba Dive It. I got open water certified in another dive shop and I can tell you with all confidence that Scuba Dive It is by far the best dive shop in all south florida. They have great prices on gear, they truly care about your safety, they are very professional, they really know everything about diving, and they are a lot of fun.

I’ve been searching for a long time to get scuba certified, but for me it’s very hard to find time away from work. Until I came across scuba dive it, they offered the open water course that was offered three consecutive days. It was conveniently offered every weekend on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This made life so much easier, compared to other places that would spread it over the course of two weeks or only offered it on certain weekends.
As for the experience itself, it’s definitely crossed off the bucket list. Not only crossed off, but I plan on going back and continuing my education to advance level. I don’t only want to make this a one time experience, I want to turn into into a lifestyle. Kurt, our instructor and owner of the company showed me a whole new life in the water. He made sure to keep me safe but making it so much fun as I learn. There was never a dull moment with him, whether it was in the classroom or open waters. He makes you part of his scuba family instantly, you will feel right at home!

Just finished my first ever diving trip and received my open water certification. Kurt, the instructor, did a fantastic job at teaching us the most important safety procedures and skills both out of the water and in the water. I felt very safe the entire time we were in the water. Kurt is a pro! Highly recommended for any experience level!

Just received my open water diver certification today! Amazing experience! Kurt, our class instructor, was awesome! He was fantastic at putting his students at ease even when we were nervous. Very knowledgeable, honest, and genuinely wants to see people enjoying diving and having incredible experiences. My husband and I are ready to dive again already and when we do go, we will definitely be joining the Scuba Dive-​it team again!

I’m a certified diver and if your wanting to go diving or get certified or simply need some tanks filled in SFL… Scuba Dive It is the team. Owner operated they are instructors with All levels of certification. They have air fills Nitrox fills, they can schedule dives for you and with you. In addition you can do a lot of the learning in the convenience of your own home and online. Professional service and education with 2 quality owners who enjoy what they do. Also they have a great kids scuba program and divers can get certified at age 10. Give them a call and schedule your next Dive !

I am DM certified and have been diving with them for a few months now and I can honestly say the professional and staff at Scuba Dive It are the real deal. More than just a dive shop or a dive club and don’t have the pretentiousness of other dive shops/​clubs I have used. They truly become friends for regular customers and mentors if you are on the pro track. You always look forward to your dive and learn something new ever dive. Their rental equipment is brand new and high quality not that edge stuff. As far as the retail so far I’ve only bought an Aeris air link for my wife’s BCD. Kurt not only got me the part cheaper than the online websites it arrived promptly and he installed it right away! My wife totally loves getting ride of on of her hoses!
