Established in 1998.
Barbara Jean’s is a family run, multi-unit restaurant operation that began in 1998 on St. Simons Island, Georgia, about fifty miles north of Jacksonville, Florida and 60 miles south of Savannah. We specialize in both seafood and made-from-scratch, home-style cooking. We take great pride in what we do and know that the most important visit we get from you, our customers, is the next one, and we have to earn that today! The heart of Barbara Jean’s is the very real Barbara Jean Barta. She is the creative force behind the recipes we serve and works every day in one restaurant or another. Other family members are every bit as active.
