Hunters Run Gun Club (HRGC) was founded in 1984 in an effort to serve the local shooters of the Baton Rouge area. The club has grown over the years and now hosts trap, skeet and sporting clay events.

We have hosted state championships in both trap and skeet and this year the Louisiana compact sporting clays championship has been added.

We are located within minutes of downtown Baton Rouge on the west bank of the Mississippi River in the city of Port Allen. This central location affords many the opportunities to enjoy the clay targets sports without having to travel great distances

History

Established in 1984.

Hunters Run was founded in 1984 in an effort to serve the local shooters of the Baton Rouge area. The club has grown over the years and now hosts trap, skeet and sporting clay events.

We have hosted state championships in both trap and skeet and this year the Louisiana compact sporting clays championship has been added.

Our present owner Ron Duplessis purchased the facility in 2004 from its originator Sonny Anderson. Ron is continually enhancing the operation with its sporting clays, mobile sporting clays, and pro shop. His desire is serve our community of shooters and their guests in a way that they will have a great time and long to return and share this experience with friends.
