History
Established in 2012.
Experience Olympic ecotours started in May of 2013 in order to help participants develop a strong sense of place. This would not be possible without the help of an extensive marine sanctuary and giant old-growth trees, including one thousand year old relics, protected in Olympic National Park. Owner, biologist, and naturalist guide Carolyn Wilcox first started leading family and friends to Olympic National Park in 2006. Carolyn Wilcox considers her guiding roots to have started as a student teacher in 2003 when she first started leading students on outdoor adventures. Carolyn Wilcox developed a strong sense of place first from her family when she was allowed to play as a child in wild meandering streams and later while studying with Round River Conservation Studies on the wild Blue River.
