Description

Specialties

Quality veterinary medicine, dentistry and surgery. Ultrasound and laboratory on site. Client education is our specialty. Your pets will do better if you understand what is going on and why we are recommending certain procedures or meds for your pet. We only practice evidence based medicine, no alternative, prescientific practices — only science based medicine practiced here.

Great boarding facility with radiant floor heat and skylights and indoor outdoor runs for big high energy dogs. Quiet clean cat boarding separate from the dogs.

History

Established in 2000.

Established in 2000 as a new practice opened by Dr Carmen Czachor. Dr Czachor graduated from University of Minnesota with a Veterinary degree in 1995 and has been a working veterinarian in Port Angeles since then. We emphasize client education and communication and encourage questions.

We have grown from just Dr Czachor to 8 staff who love animals. We now have an asscoiate doctor, Holly Irish, who graduated from Washington State and joined our practice in 2012. Most of our staff have been with the practice for 4 years or more. It is a great place to work and to seek care for your furry family.

Business Owner

Carmen Czachor graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1995 and moved to Port Angeles shortly after that. She lives in Port Angeles, just 5 minutes from the clinic. She has two sons, Spencer and Jackson. Dr Czachor enjoys the challenge and excitement of seeing what will come through the door next. She feels being a veterinarian is similar to being a detective and loves to puzzle out what could be wrong with a given pet using what she can find on exam and diagnostics. She was appointed to the veterinary board of governors of Washington State in 2008 by Governor Gregoire. She is on the board of the Evidence Based Veterinary Medicine Association and represents the western US.

Client communication and education are very important aspects of veterinary medicine and she strives to make sure owners are well informed and comfortable with their animal’s care.
