Spring Summer & Fall we offer the following landscaping services: Lawn mowing and trimming, turf fertilizer & weed control, turf core aeration, lawn over-​seeding, shrub and bush pruning, landscape design and installations, bed creation, mulching & bed weed control, spring and fall leaf cleanups, tree removal and pruning services.

During the winter months we specialize in professional snow plowing and snow removal services including snow throwing sidewalks and deicing.

History

Established in 2008.

After enjoying landscaping, turf care and snow removal as part-​time jobs for friends and family for over 30 years in 2008 I decided to retire from the printing industry to start my own business.

What began with one snow plow truck has grown to a five snow plow truck operation during the winter months and a full service landscaping and lawn care business during the spring, summer and fall.

My passion for the pursuit of creating visually inviting landscapes began during mid seventies when my parents asked me to help landscape our hillside back yard in Schaumburg. I helped my mom and dad dig and install into the hill a bed of shrubs and flowers with railroad ties staked into the ground to hold back the earth. I provided much of the labor because my parents both worked jobs. My mom taught me how to group shrubs and flowers into each section of the bed we had created.

Then the blizzard of ’79 made me realize how profitable snow removal could be. My best friend and I shoveled several neighbors driveways and got paid well to something we had fun doing. From there I knew that some day I would enjoy doing this for a living.

Over the years I have completed landscaping projects on homes I have owned. Projects have included stone work and brick retaining walls with plantings.

In 2008 I decided it was time for me to start my own business and T.O.M.S. was formed
