For Florida Chinese … This place is pretty good. They actually offer Tofu dishes. Could really use better veggies in their dishes outside of peas and carrots. Not all Americans are adverse to a variety of vegetables in their dishes.

The food is good not great. What you would expect from a small Chinese place. They lose stars for not delivering, not doing special requests(is it hard to do lite sauce and crispy chicken?), and not the best experience calling in an order. Simple changes and this place could be great. But if I have to drive and get it I rather go to Koos.

i am a frequent customer and have never been disappointed. The food is good for what it is… take out. Its not what you would expect at a fancier sit down place but it beats going to the drive thru at wendys and the prices are good.

This place used to be «decent». Meaning, somethings were good, some things are bad. Tonight I had the worst experience, and it was over the absolute simplest, hardest to mess up… Sweet & Sour Chicken with white rice. I always order white rice here because their onions in their pork friend rice is always close to raw. This time the white rice was pork fried rice(didn’t check the bag, my bad). Onions still raw, still tasted like white rice but different color but with a few pieces of carrot, pea or two, and the occasional bean sprout thrown in(no egg) . On to the sweet & sour chicken. Big pieces mixed in with small pieces… and all of it wayyyy over cooked. Fried and fried again… and fried… again? That’s what I don’t understand about Florida chinese food, chinese food takes sooo little time to cook… it’s wok cooking over a jet engine essentially… everything is pre-cooked. Lastly, if you’re a boneless spare rib fan… skip this place, Zero flavor, zero crisp, extremely fatty pieces. All though, their bathroom is in decent condition, which I use to gauge overall cleanliness.

Having worked for the original Koos restaurant in Englewood 30 years ago I can say that China Wok is one of the best in the Englewood/Gulf Cove area. In my opinion they are better than Koos Kitchen except for the shrimp & lobster sauce. They even give you a free order of some of the best crab ran goons with dinner purchase.
