Dance classes for all ages especially kids ages 2 and up. Theatrical and Classical dance featuring Classical Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, HipHop Jazz, and NEW in 2012 Ballroom! Age appropriate music, movement, and costuming for all children. We are not Dance Moms! Classes, performances and competitions, presented in a caring and nuturing atmosphere. The copyrighted program has been created by Janis Raven-​Garvey a former professional dancer with more then 35 years of teaching and choreography experience. Also offering entertainment for your Festival, Church, Fundraiser, School, Dinner or Party.

History

Established in 2004.

Janis Raven-​Garvey was the Artistic Director of New Jersey Dance Company from 1976 – 1994, after relocating to Florida she then taught at Dance+Plus from 1995 – 2004 starting «Dance with Janis» at Horizon in August of 2004. Many of her current and former dance students have gone on to professional work, both performing and teaching. Janis has choreographed everything from full length Ballets to Music Videos, Plays

and Award Winning Competition Routines.

Beginning dance at age 4 Janis Raven-​Garvey wanted to be a mouseketeer. Instead she danced her way to scholarships in NYC. Performed in and around New York City, Atlantic City, and other areas of New Jersey, in Ballet Companies, Theatrical Revues, Night Club Acts,

Telethons, PBS Television, and Music Videos. Although performing was a love, touring was not. At age 19 with already 4 years professional experience in NYC she began New Jersey Dance Company with a semi professional performing dance group and and an attached dance school.

Many of her dancers have gone on to work in New York City Ballet, Elliott Feld Ballet, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Miami, Branson, as well as on Cruise ships, The Rockettes, and Regional Theater.
