I like this place a lot! It a hole in the wall kind of joint but it’s great. Definitely not a date place more like a good meal with a friend place. They offer big portions at a very reasonable price. I’ve pretty much tried the whole menu and have yet to be disappointed. Some of things I’ve tried are Halea personal, Arroz chaufa, Cheviche mixto medio picante by far my favorite.

This place looks like a dive bar from the outside however the food is good, huge portions! The jalea, lomo and chaufa are on point.

We love coming here for Peruvian food. There are very few non-hispanic patrons, which rates a star in my book. No one speaks English very well but you can manage to be understood. Typical for most Latin American places, a large flat screen at one end of the room plays Spanish game shows or soccer. This is the place to go if you feel like something divey. We love the sangria. They will also bring a crunchy Peruvian corn that is roasted(but only if you ask). It’s a nutty sort of flavor. The green sauce for the bread is also spicy and full of cilantro. The fried seafood is huge and nicely done– a light, crispy batter. Do not order meat here, it is terrible. Only fish. And mostly fried, although they make a great seafood cerviche. Great fried yucca, too.

This is not one of the more popular Peruvian restaurants in Port Chester. It is not in the middle of town and is easy to miss, but it does offer some solid, inexpensive food. I have tried a number of dishes. I rate the lomo saltado as moderately good, definitely a decent meal. I tried the calamari appetizer and was shocked at the size of the portion. For the price, it was huge. Not bad, but a little too much salt. The service is good. Very attentive waitresses, though it would help if you know a little Spanish.
