Our paint department carries an extensive line of Interior paint, Exterior paint and Specialty paints; with everything you need for any decorating project. History

Established in 1921.

In 1921, a paint salesman Clarence «Wally» Wallauer from Pennsylvania, fell in love with Westchester County on a business trip. After, he moved his young family to White Plains, NY and opened C.R. Wallauer Co. on Martine Avenue. Originally, it started as a paint supply store selling paint in raw form, white lead, earth colors and linseed oils. While staying at the forefront of technology as the market brought more advanced and convenient forms of paint, Clarence’s business quickly expanded to include products such as wallpaper and the necessary adhesives. After Clarence suffered from a stroke, Wallauer’s has remained a family business. He recruited his son in-​law, Bob Duncan, Sr. to take over the business. Bob Duncan Sr. took extraordinary care to ensure that his son, Bob Duncan Jr., would inherit the company with intimate knowledge of the business. Wally Wallauer brought a conservative business philosophy with him from Pennsylvania; believing in hard work and great customer service.
