Specialties
We are a traditional Tae Kwon Do (Martial Arts) School for children and adults dedicated to preserving a noble purpose: To develop and serve the Individual, the Community and the Arts.
This is accomplished by a disciplined and rigorous regimen of training which brings together the student and the instructor in an atmosphere of mutual respect. We help our students achieve a high sense of Self Confidence, Mental Preparedness and Physical Fitness.
As a center for learning (Do-Jang), Westchester Tae Kwon Do Academy provides a place where students of ALL ages ranging from young children to adults and all walks of life come together under one roof in an atmosphere of EQUALITY and develop a sense of community and camaraderie.
Our instructors have been with us for many years and take pride in teaching and helping students achieve their highest potential in Korean Karate, by providing them with effective instructions, training and commitment.
We offer early afternoon classes to children and evening classes to teens and adults. we have 6 instructors who teach and assist, and what makes us unique is that we do not overflow our classes with students. Each class has no more than 20 students maximum, and at least 2 instructors per class, which allows us to give more attention to individual needs of the students than most martial arts schools.
You owe it to yourself to come and try us.
History
Established in 2004.
What started as being an assistant instructor in 1992, slowly grew to become an instructor in 2004 and eventually a Master in Martial arts in 2009. With the encouragement of my teacher, i decided to start my own school in 2004 and picked Port Chester/Rye Brook as the new home for my DoJang (Do Jo) or school. I have been here since, and will remain here for many years to come. we are celebrating our 11th year (2015) being part of Port Chester and Rye Brook community
