The Learning Curve provides individual tutoring sessions, K-​SAT Prep. Certified teachers, combined with specialty programs, to target the needs of each student, sets us apart from the rest. We offer programs for children with specific learning disabilities and other learning differences. Homeschool support is also available. Some services are offered at your location.

History

Established in 2002.

Owner, Katrina Alkinburg relocated to Port Deposit, MD in 1993 and in 1999 retired her teaching position to become a full-​time mother. She did not want to end her teaching career, and seeing a need, starting tutoring children who were struggling academically. Katrina’s tutoring program was so successful that in 2002, her small business grew into The Learning Curve. Currently, The Leaning Curve has four certified teachers on staff serving the needs of all her clients.

Owner, Katrina Alkinburg is a Pennsylvania certified special educator with 25 years of experience. Katrina has extensive trainging in the Wilson Reading System. She is a member of the International Reading Association and The Cecil County Chamber of Commerce.
