The Meadow Club of Port Jefferson

I had the pleasure of attending the New Year’s party this year at the Meadow Club. I have to say I really enjoyed the night with my friends and family. The DJ had us on the dance floor all night long, the buffet was delicious with lots of choices, and the drinks at the open bar were amazing! The service was top notch with friendly staff coming by and asking us if we needed anything. The hall was nicely decorated and I was able to take nice pictures with my friends by the huge Christmas tree that was up for the holiday season. There was even a belly dance performance, which was beautiful and she did a great job interacting with the audience, making the whole experience really fun and entertaining. What a great way to kick off 2016! I would love to attend more parties this year!

We paid $ 400 to go to the NYE 2016 party. What a waste of money. This catering hall is not only dated but the owners are completely disorganized. On the original flyer it stated live ball drop and photo booth included. Well a short while after we arrived my sister and I wanted to hop in the photo booth to take some memorable New year’s eve photos. To my dismay there was a $ 10 charge. I immediately ask to speak with a manager. The manager stated that the photo booth was not included and that it was an error on the original flyer that was sent out to everybody. She then told me to mention her name in the photo booth so I would be the only one to get the free photo booth that really was included in the price. Everyone else was still getting charged $ 10 until Everyone started to catch on. Then after waiting till about 11:58 p.m. to eat dinner, the screens go blank and the DJ literally counted 3−2−1 Happy New Year. No live ball drop, no countdown to the ball. No balloons droppings from the ceiling on confetti or champagne, Just horrible. Don’t waste your time or money go to the water mill or villa Lombardis this place was the biggest joke and rip off.

Writing this a bit after the fact because I’ve been a tad bit busy with work but, I must bring attention to level of service that took place on the Valentine’s Day event at the Americana Steakhouse. It was nothing short of exemplary! My date and I were greeted upon arrival by a most gracious hostess by the name of Kiran. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal (5 course, the lady had salmon, I had the chicken), as well as the open bar! I normally don’t go out on Valentine’s Day but I’m glad I did and would absolutely recommend checking out the promotional events! Mother’s Day is coming up and it seems they have another event coming.

I was at the preview opening of the Americana Steakhouse at the Meadow Club and was greeted by a friendly caring staff. The Meadow Club’s décor is tastefully done, the service was extremely attentive, my rib eye was perfectly done and the price was reasonable. If you are looking for a delightful experience, I suggest that you try the Meadow Club’s Americana Steakhouse. You will not be disappointed. I am booking my firm’s quarterly review here and we have partnered with the Meadow Club to offer our client families luncheons after their loved one’s funeral. The staff has prepared a special menu based on our needs and is most accommodating to special circumstances. The location is ideal with high visibility, plenty of parking and good brand recognition. I look forward to a fruitful mutual relationship.

We decided to come back after two years. We were pleasantly surprised how the buffet has changed. No long lines and very easy to get our food. I have always enjoyed the food here, that was never the problem. There was one unfortunate incident where an older lady tripped over the small step leading into the dining room. There was a sign that said to watch your step before going into the buffet room but I have to admit, I tripped going back as well. The woman was up there in age, it was concerning. One of the servers also told her she was not the first one to fall on this step. Maybe it is time to do something about it? Overall, we had great service and a very nice day!

The place is very lovely, a bit small since it can only host one function at a time. Nonetheless, it’s ideal for intimate events. I attended an afternoon wedding on Sunday and there were some noticeable cons but a lot more pros. The outdoor space was quite beautiful with the two waterfalls on either side of the altar. It’s a bit tight though for photographers to get a clean shot if you have a large bridal party, which is a major downside. The photographer literally had to jump through hoops to get some shots. I am not a big fan of the lawn chairs which were covered in dirt. Most of the ladies were sinking in to the dirt, because of their heels which was unavoidable. I liked that you had a seating option, sit in the sun or in the shade on the patio furniture. The facility itself was nicely furnished. I loved that white piano, too bad I don’t know how to play. The restrooms were picturesque, a friend of mine actually sat for a mini photoshoot lol. The food was pretty good. I ordered the chicken parmesan rather than the roasted peppers or the salmon. Great dance floor. We definitely enjoyed the cha-​cha slide, electric slide, and the cupid shuffle. I LOVED the dessert options: cake, ice cream, and a chocolate fountain. I was in bliss. My sweet tooth was definitely satisfied and I left on a high note. There was valet parking, which is a plus but not enough people on hand to park or retrieve your vehicle. Overall, I think it’s a pretty good venue.
