I got a gift card here. What a wonderful gift. I was excited for my 1 hour deep tissue massage. They said come 15 mins early when i made the appointment. I was there 25 mins early. They gave me paper work to fill out which I did. And some water. After I finished they told me to go back into another waiting area through the door in a darker setting with a tv and couch. It was nice and relaxing. Then the massage therapist came over tome to go over what I marked down what I wanted done. I had marked i only wanted my upper back and shoulders. She persuaded me to do a little of all the body but she would focus on my shoulders and and upper back. She said it would help my back if I did that so I took her advise. We got back to the room it was dark. On the tv it talked about you have a choice of the fragrance in you room. I was never given an option on that when I actually got to the room. I was a bit disappointed because it was just talked about on the tv in the the waiting area about what they have here. I assume they charge more for that. I looked at my watch its now 15 after when my apt was suppose to start. They kept me in the waiting area way to long and Im a bit mad about that but its an hour massage so I guess since shes starting late she will end late. So I quickly get undressed and hop into the bed and wait for her to return. The bed is warm and feels so good. She returns and starts the massage. She has a very soothing voice which was nice and if she massaged a bit harder it would have been perfect. Soon its over and she never really worked on my shoulders! What the heck? I get dressed and look at my watch its 5 to. Ok she started 15 mins late and ended 5 mins early. Are you kidding?! And most important she did not focus on the areas I asked her to. If you pay for a hour, you should get an hour. Also if you want a particular place massaged, you should be listened to. I booked for a deep tissue massage and did not get that. Ok and worst of all the price now changed when I tried to make another appointment cause my boyfriend went all out and put a lot on the gift card so i had money still on it. They said since it was my first time it was a certain price and after that it goes up. They now explain that low price was an introductory price! Wow, that is a way to put it. After that experience, I just wanted to use up what was left on the card and not come back. They wanted me to join some kind of membership they have. I still have money on the card unless it disappears after a certain time. Although mostly a bad experience, there was good as well. The bed was toasty warm, I had went during the winter and it felt so nice to get into warm sheets. The therapist made sure I was covered well at all times, only exposing the area she worked on. That made me feel comfortable. The atmosphere was very dim lighting and relaxing. I really enjoyed that. And she had a very calming voice when she spoke.

After reading all the terrible reviews I had to comment! I’ve had a membership for about one year now and am very happy! I consistently use Margaret for massages(regular & hot stone), she is very professional and always asks what I would like to focus on. I also recently had a facial by Melissa which did wonders for my skin! The front desk is always pleasant when I arrive and depart so I’m not sure what others are speaking on. Don’t let the negative reviews deter you, this is a great place for some pampering at a great price!

I love my membership! It really makes going for a massage regularly affordable. The last time I went maybe I was a little sensitive but it was too strong for me probably perfect if I was a football player lol

I am so glad I have a massage envy membership. Making an appointment is easy and the prices are good and I love going for a massage every month. The therapists really listen to me and are very nice.

This was not only the worst Massage Envy I’ve ever been to but it was the worst service ANYSPA has ever given me. I’ve gone to massage envy before and have said no to their membership program as going monthly is not ideal for me. Most of the time they push and pry but usually the front desk associates(SALES associates) know when to stop. However, the girl who helped me(and I use that word very loosely) had absolutely no idea what she was talking about, continued to talk in circles and when I declined politely she became rude. Amber, my sales associate, was cold and didn’t pay attention to my needs for massage and she engaged in inappropriate conversations with a coworker while I was filling out paperwork. Very unprofessional. The massage was mediocre at best, I wanted a very light pressure in certain areas due to an injury and told this to the girl I booked the appointment with, Amber, and my massage therapist(I have forgotten her name). Neither of the three made sure my requests were fulfilled. AND I have saved the best(or worst) part for last, the sheets on my bed were definitely not changed, they smelt like body odor. I felt very uncomfortable the whole massage. I recommend other massage envy’s but absolutely, under no circumstances do I think ANYONE should step foot into this particular establishment.

I’m writing a poor review for this place for the simple reason that their business model is disingenuous and hard sales are the last thing I want after getting a massage. I scheduled a 1 hr session for $ 60, filled out some paperwork detailing the areas where I’m experiencing pain, and eventually I’m taken to one of the therapy rooms to begin the session. It was actually a really great session and I did like the heated table. However after it ends you better be prepared. I come out to the front and one of the receptionists(Amanda?) starts handing me all these forms. After having actually read what I’m about to sign I realized it’s a 1 year membership with no ability to cancel(but to be fair, you can«freeze» it for a few months). I politely declined since A — I hate contracts and B — I need to see if my FSA administrator will cover this, yet the sales rep(that’s essentially what she is) keeps persisting. Then I get the«Well if you signup today we’ll waive the $ 60 enrollment fee but if you come back we won’t be able to do that» What? So if I leave and try to signup tomorrow they’re gonna charge you $ 60 just because. Let’s think about that — «Yeah you come in here, you get massage, you sign this contract, oh you don’t wanna sign the contract? Ok, well if you come back later then I’m gonna charge you $ 60 on top of the contract. Capeesh?» Ridiculous. I eventually got her to agree to call me in a week(and waive the fee if I signed up over the phone) since by that time I’d be able to confirm if my FSA administrator would approve this. Needless to say I never got a call back, and my FSA administrator never approved this since, like I told her, credit card receipts alone don’t meet IRS requirements for documentation of medical services received. It’s cool if they have plans that allow you to commit to several months or a year. It’s not cool if their front desk receptionists are instructed to turn every new customer into a monthly payment. It reeks of shadiness and the«we’ll waive the signup fee BS» simply confirmed my suspicions. For these reasons my advice is to stay away. If your massage therapist is really good she/he won’t require you to enter into a contract just to keep your business.

It’s been snowing since I got up, and so, 4 hours before my scheduled massage, I called to reschedule for later this week. Was informed that unless someone else decides to come in the snow at that time, I will be charged half. I feel certain this winter that they have had to reschedule due to weather, I doubt they paid their clients half. Moral of this story: don’t schedule massages in advance at Massage Envy. If something beyond your control occurs, even if you call, even if you reschedule in the same week with the same therapist, you will be charged half. I am extremely disappointed in this.
