Dr. Karyn Halpern

Dr. Halpern is very passionate about dentistry. She knew she wanted to become a dentist at the age of 13, after receiving orthodontic treatment that changed her life with the gift of a beautiful smile. She appreciated her new smile and saw the potential on how dentistry could impact lives.

Dr. Halpern finds dentistry exceptionally rewarding. She loves to make a difference in her patients’ lives. Whether curing a painful toothache, enhancing one’s appearance and confidence with cosmetic dental procedures, restoring the ability to chew comfortably with dental implants, or replacing teeth that are congenitally missing.

Dr. Halpern grew up on Long Island, New York. She attended Binghamton University, New York, for undergraduate studies and majored in Biology. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in only three years time and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.

Spent the day in the chair with Dr Halpern to get my temps and wow 8:30 to 4:00 flew by without pain!!! I was fine only tired the next day and 5 days later still good! I have never had dental care without problems until coming to this office. I need a few root canals then can’t wait for permanents. My teeth were no easy task I had this done for my health, so if your dental phobic like I was fear no more!!!

I hate going to the dentist but I had a great experience at PJ Smiles! Everyone there was courteous and professional. The facility is also nice and modern which eased much of my anxiety. I’ll definitely go back.

From beginning to end a pleasant, pain-​free experience. The staff was very friendly and with Dr. Halpern’s state of the art equipment I was able to get my crown in one visit. Having children and a very busy schedule, this was a huge convienence for me. I would recommend anyone looking for a dentist to this office. You will be happy, I’m sure, in all regards.

1 star given because I only saw the woman behind the glass and the gentleman who asked us a question. Never met the dentist at this facility because my stay was short.
Looking for a dentist so I came with a friend to check out this place — I had my son with me at the time and anyone that knows him, knows he’s a good kid! Apparently his excitement to be in a new place was cut short. He was dancing to the music from a commercial and that was enough to shake the frames on the walls (we were told). This disturbed the patient in the other room and we were asked to stop him from rattling the walls.
This experience clarified a few things for me…
1– they don’t see young children,
2– I wouldn’t want to go to a place that had a problem with my kid coming with me on my appointment and
3– any business in a building that shakes fairly easily and it often disturbs the patients should probably invest in their facility and give their clients peace of mind.
Very unfortunate but now I know… and so do you!!!

Dr. Halpern and her staff are so welcoming and friendly, you feel like your surrounded by family. I am very anxious and a new patient to Dr. Halperns practice and I felt so relaxed the day of my appointment. I’m very happy to say I found a new Dentist.

Dr. Halpern’s passion for high quality dentistry is second to none!
She is able to use a computerized machine to make all-​white crown in the office which is a huge convenience. Her before and after results for patients are truly amazing. The money and time that you invest in your smile is well-​worth it and I highly encourage you to make an appointment with Dr. Halpern.
