Meet the Business Owner

Richard W.

Business Owner

Richard D. Winkler is a partner in the firm of Winkler, Kurtz & Winkler, LLP. He obtained his Bachelors Degree from SUNY Cortland, graduating cum laude in 1978. In 1981, he earned his law degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles. While in law school, Mr. Winkler clerked for the well-​regarded plaintiff’s personal injury firm of Greenberg and Panish located in the Wilshire District of Los Angeles. After being admitted to the California Bar, Mr. Winkler practiced law with the same firm until relocating to Long Island in 1983.

Following admission to the New York Bar in 1983, Richard D. Winkler associated with attorney Jerrold Benowitz, Esq. and soon thereafter was offered a partnership in the law firm of Benowitz, Manning and Winkler. In 1987, he joined with his brother, James Winkler, and Sanders Kurtz to form Winkler, Kurtz & Winkler.

Mr. Winkler is best known for representing victims who have sustained injuries during accidents.
