Meet the Business Owner

Beth F.

Business Owner

Beth Forrester is a seasoned and honored educator, now retired after working for over 40 years in the education field. With the advent of the Common Core, Beth believes that many children are being pushed into developmentally inappropriate studies, which has left them feeling anxious and confused. Students may need extra help to keep up, and parents may need help negotiating what is best for their child. Beth has started Helping Learners to support children and parents, by individual or small group tutoring, support groups and curriculum workshops for parents

Beth has taught in suburban Long Island, and in urban London and Manhattan. She has trained teachers in the Tri-​State area to use student-​centered, holistic math and science instruction, and has lectured locally and nationally on «topic learning,» math, science, and literacy subjects. As an educator, Beth believes that if a child isn’t comfortable, they can’t learn.
